Custom Patina on Sutor Mantellassi Part 1 of 2

  • These are a few of my all time favorite patina projects. We start out with two pair of really high end Sutor Mantellassi shoes purchased at a great discount but in almost unwearable colors. By the end they are something the client was proud to wear.
    Featuring dyes from Fiebing and Saphir along with wax from Pure Polish Products and Carmina Shoemaker.

    Much better than it was before a project but it's stitches looks like a human skin were flayed off and tgen those shoes were made from.

      It's a unique stitch style where you don't actually see the thread. It's more difficult technique that I believe has to be done by hand compared to the machine stitching on most shoes. But I can see what you mean with the Frankenstein vibe lol.

      In actuality there are no exposed stitches.
