At Rock Hill Farm and Homes we upload new videos at least 3 times per week, about our 20 Acre hobby farm, our John Deere 2038R compact tractor and other equipment, and the businesses that we run.
These businesses include a manufacturing operation, a Christmas tree farm, real estate investing, a lawn care business, and an online retail store. I demonstrate how I am able to use these ventures to earn a good living without a traditional job.
We have some cool toys and always think outside the box on our little homestead so come along for the ride.
You can expect new videos from us every other day, usually around 8 AM.

Impressive testing. You know what impressed me the most? How easily you cleaned up the mess you made by tearing up all that sod! No matter what a guy is doing...working...testing...playing is what it all ends up being when you own a tractor. There are very few things more addicting that working with a tractor. Just like a kid in a sandbox... Love your videos! Keep up the good work.
Definitely. I still have to clean up my second mess I made with the bushes. It’s a big mess but it won’t take long to clear up with the tractor
I went and tilled a garden for someone last night and then it’s been raining all day today
I've got the piranha bar on my 2032r. The factory edge didn't want to cut into hard pack, nor dirt piles that had sat for a while, and not well into a gravel pile. With the piranha all of those problems are solved.
I think the sharpened teeth cut well when it's a small tree that will provide resistance. My testing on bushes shows they bend over before the teeth can bite in and it just strips the "bark" or outer layer. For those I usually just start going for the roots and pop the whole thing out.
Zero issues back dragging, and thus far I haven't taken the bar off once.
Love my EA Wicked grapple though!
Thanks for sharing your experience. As consumers we are lucky to have so many great product options
Super ! Thank you for your time and cost . It's very helpful to me seeing you demonstrate the products that are out there. Thanks again.
My heavy hitch tooth bar arrived today so I’ll be testing that out soon
Great job showing comparisons on the tooth bars, I have the Piranha bar a love it. You have been putting a lot of videos out there.
I do put a lot of energy into creating videos. I enjoy doing it and I hope they are helpful to people.
I like the piranha bar more than the everything attachments bar at this point.
Thanks for watching
What other toothbar are you going to test?
I want a heavy hitch Bar or another one with a similar design
I have sent out some request to companies to see if they will provide it for the comparison.
If not I will end up buying one.
@@RockhillfarmYT Sounds good. I like the Heavy Hitch design and was curious how it would compare with their other 2 designs.
This up here is rocky sand. A tooth bar is a must. I own 2 and unfortunately the one I use always depends on what I'm doing. However, if I'm reworking my stone driveway I've never had a problem with my EA oversized bucket. About every 4th year I have to haul in around 100 yards. Spreads like butter. Great video! Hope you keep them coming!
Everything you said sounds pretty familiar to me.
It seems like no matter how much rock I buy, I still need a little more
50% of the ground on my property it is perfect topsoil with clay underneath it and cuts like butter. The other half of the property is just solid rocks
Thanks for watching
Great video Brock, I have the Piranha and I love it. It appears the Wicked is very similar, so never used one, so can't comment. I can definitively say having a toothbar is better than not having a toothbar, that is for sure.
Yes sir
Thanks for watching
I'd be curious to be a fly on the wall at Rockhill Farms. "Brock, what happened to my shrubs?" "Ummmm, tooth bar review?"
Another feature is the extended edge has benefits too. Before I had forks I used my heavy hitch bar to curl logs into my bucket. I can hold a slightly larger scoops of dirt too. I should send you some pictures sometime.
That would be a benefit. Especially for my specific loader which has limited curlback
Great video It is hard to compare each shrub or ground is different. I like my plain bucket it is the cheapest and works great This is the best video you produced and it turned out good keep it up
Thanks for the kind words. I think there was a difference but the stock bucket was able to do everything and could have peeled up that sod with a little more persistence
I like my piranha toothbar. I don't use it as much as I thought I would since I got the grapple, but when I do use the bucket, it is nice having it on there.
Yeah, the points on a grapple can probably dig more aggressively than either of these toothbar’s honestly
Thanks for watching
I like the Piranha as well, haven't used the Wicked, but like you, now that I have a grapple, the bucket has less time on the tractor as well.
I ordered the Piranha toothbar last week, then found your video today. Looks like my investment was correct. Looked the bar from heavy hitch as well.. a lot longer teeth angled downward which prevents using the float function.....so I passed on that one.
Yeah, I’ve been running that piranha bar for a while now. No complaints with it
💥 Great comparison Brock! 😁👍
*Keep on tractoring!*
Thanks Jon
Nice video Brock. I have the Bxpanded piranha for my 1025r, and in a very broad generalization I use the tooth bar when in dirt and take it off when working with gravel. I like the ability to take the tooth bar off with a heavy dense material like gravel/rock. The tooth bar adds a significant amount of weight and on my size machine it makes a difference with those types of material.
I'd be curios the weight of the EA Wicked bucket vs the stock bucket with BXP Piranha bar.
I have not weighed it but I would say it’s significantly more. It’s slightly larger and it’s made of thicker metal, Plus the cutting edge seems like it would be heavier than the piranha bar
One thing I like about the piranha is you can easily take it on and off where it feels like it would be a hassle with the other one
Thank you for this interesting video. Looking into both companies documentation, Wicked seems to boast that theirs is a toothbar rather designed to grip and pull out small trees and bushes WITH their roots while the BXpanded Piranha's sharp edge would rather mean to cut through similar stuff. The latter seems to work better to dig into topsoil and turf but may not be sharp enough to slice easily through the larger roots of small trees. Your video was interesting too to demonstrate the work limits of a small tractor comprising not only its overall power but its weight and the limited traction available from industrial tires.
Good video Brock. I have both toothbars, and like you, i prefer the Bxpanded bar. Thanks for the honest comparison.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it
You've gotten pretty good with your bucket work. I remember when you bought that EA bucket. Man those things aren't cheap!
Thanks, nothing wrong with the wicked bucket, but I wouldn’t buy it again. A lot better return on the money to just add a tooth bar to the stock bucket
You're right. That was quick from getting it until comparison. I think EA is a great company. I have their scrape blade but they are much more expensive and their products I think are more on the professional end. I do love my bxpanded toothbar.
Agree on all points. I think EA makes great products but for this I would recommend the piranha bar to most people
EA’s might last the longest, BX’s will act the sharpest. EA’s test with these two was kinda silly, BUT I used my piranha tooth bar one nasty winter ( first winter in house, first year with tractor) and after seeing the bottom up wear from lifting the front end with the bucket going down driveway. That’s why I got the smooth bar too from BX. Got quite a few things from them too. Their cart from the 260b is great too.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it
Great Indepth video Brock. 👌👌
Thank you sir
the flat 1/2'' x 6'' with bevel works great for sod. mine is 72'' my tractor is 6500lbs
Nice! Sacrificing your lawn in the name of science!
Taking one for the team.
Thanks for watching
I'm kind of surprised that there wasn't a more marked difference in performance. A good test though!
I was shocked the first time I did this test with just the wicked bucket and the stock bucket I didn’t notice much difference.
Out of everything I’ve done the biggest difference I saw was when cutting the sod the piranha bar was a big improvement. Especially over stock.
Great video!
Unrelated question to the tooth bar topic,,, what is that bar across the top of your standard bucket?
That is the frame for the Add a Grapple
I’m generally running that bucket with the toothbar and Grapple lid but I pulled the Grapple off for viability on the demonstration

1:25 "im still a human" ....now i dont believe you!!! :P
Hard to believe right, I’m sure I come across as a cyborg from the Terminator movies but I’m actually just some guy doing stuff
Watching it back I sounded a little defensive expecting criticism that usually comes with these videos
Thanks for watching And for giving me a hard time
I think that you are going to have to get a heavy hitch toothbar to get the total picture from them all
I’ve got one more tooth bar comparison video coming before long
@@RockhillfarmYT I am looking forward to seeing that video.
Do you know anybody who has the pirahna pro bar, I spoke to the company and they told me it is made of a new type of metal that hardens the more a person uses it and it has a much more aggressive tooth design. Also it is a full bolt on edge and it doesn't slip on.
Brock, it’s may 19 and your Christmas lights are still on your house? 🤣🤣
I’m going to leave them up until next Christmas if the wife doesn’t get mad at me.
I take them down the same time every year.… About a week after she starts complaining
@@RockhillfarmYT lol i'm busting your balls, makes sense to leave them up. tell her you charge $100 hr to take down and $100 hr to put them back up.
Now that I like the sound of… although since she doesn’t work I think I know where the money would come from if she hired me
@@RockhillfarmYT 😂🤣😂
You’re gonna get a wicked beat down when Ted from everything attachments sees this video🤣
Yeah. They will probably share it in the group and make fun of me….
I thought I was fair in the comparison though
Great job , I like the Piranha also. What's the price dif ?
For my bucket The piranha bar is $250. I did not buy a wicked tooth bar, I bought a wicked bucket.
The bucket was $800. I think just the tooth bar would’ve been 400. Not certain
I prefer the piranha bar at this point
@@RockhillfarmYT I think that's what I will get . Great job with all your videos ! I love the truthfulness .
Thanks for watching
57” bucket? You need to put the toys down and step up two or three E series John Deere😎
It’s just a 5500 pound lawn mower
Your tractor pretty much out does the three series in everything but tire size. I thought you would get that I was joking….
I new what you meant.
I was making fun of some of the other comments I get telling me to get a real tractor or calling my tractor a big lawn mower
It does pretty good for what it is
Thanks for watching
Another 25 horsepower would make a lot of difference
It seems EA made the decision for us :(
You should do a video with tractor time with tim. You two can't run a tractor
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it
You should make some video showing us how it’s done
Simply a troll who has probably never operated a tractor.
*Edit. Found the answer at the beginning of your video.
Great
thanks for watching
