I actually had to fashion of a real exhaust snorkel for my full-size 1956 CJ-5 due to a long deep water run. Stock 4 cyl creeping at idle through the deep water would want to die out. Exhaust snorkel clamped on and off I went

This video infuriates me! Because of this video I've spent more money on my SCX24 than the purchase price of the car. LOL Just kidding. Not mad at all. As a matter of fact, it's one of my favorite RCs.
I also got out for a while and came back with an scx24, got the green c10 and I'm loving it! Only problem I've had after a month of ownership was the stock motor gave up on me. Replacement is only 8 bucks and is pretty easy to change out though

Turncoat Tony I’m using is a tension style winch you can see it on my channel, but you could also get the same size servo as your steering and that would work with some modifications.
I'll tell ya, I got both HR diff cover front and back and the 9 gram HR inner brass inserts all the way around and could notice a huge difference immediately.sovmuch more stable and not so top heavy for the Jeep I should add yes I have the Jeep lol.going for the snorkel and maybe the HR front bumper.happy holidays to all you mini 24s out there.be safe
I just got myself the c10 grey and I love it ! I’ve added a few aluminum parts. Front bumper with red tow hooks. Aluminum rear bumper. Black Rhino steel wheels with some Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires !

We really need scx24 Jeep Wrangler door handles, ( and other scale parts) and more important if you can activate your connections booklet, « oil filled shocks » arround 40mm with maximum flex capability, impossible to find on the market. Carisma MSA-1a are toooo tall 😝😝😝, very nice crawling car 👍👍👍👍👍👍 and seller 😋 PS: Club5 Electronic Cyclic Switch ( Dual Output ) has to be on your upgrades list 😉
Just got mine. My first thought was about how I can put some washers on the wheels to make them heavier. It's a little bit to easy to flip over and it seems to have plenty of torque because the gear ratio is astronomically low.. it must go less than a half a mile and hour.

I added a 3rd channel "auxiliary module" so I could use the stock controller to turn the stock lights off and on using the channel 3 switch. I tried to get the module as low as possible but it does add a bit of weight up high. Reason being when im running inside I can turn the lights off so I don't blind my girlfriend.

Love the content guys! How about a vid on backyard bashers? You know smaller scale RCs, that carry some speed and can launch off small makeshift jumps. All the ARRMA and the like stuff is great, but hitting 60 in the backyard isn't happening.
At 5:27 you can tell that the tire is not well fitted to the wheel, i've read on some forums and in Facebook that mounting RC4WD tires on those RC4WD wheels is a PITA, also at 7:01... WTH is an "exhaust snorkel"??
It's true, the first time you mount those wheels it's a pain. But after a few times doing it and getting a system down, it's easy and not bad at all. For the snorkel... just making sure you guys are paying attention. -Brett
Oh yeah, it's a great little truck that's a ton of fun. For guys already in the hobby, this is a good supplement r/c for when you can't get outside, when your traveling or whatever the case. Replaced mine with a Spektrum S150 & an ICS3 -> JST adaptor bought from Amain. Works a charm, charging at 0.5A! Recommended. Though ironically, my stock charger is working fine after about 20 uses still....
I also had problems with the charger on the second use it literally melted itself. I called and they did send me another. But yeah I used my own hobby grade after that
Just installed my rc4wd tires and wheels went with the rc4wd bfg km3s no foam is the way to go for sure these trucks are pretty light so no foam is fine.
Should I get a mini t 2.0 or an Everest 10 crawler I have been debating since the mini t is small and portable and good for quarantine or the Everest so difficult to decide! considering I have been in the hobby for a while I feel like since I have never been into crawling I should get the Everest 10. Which do you guys prefer for the price?
Im in crawling . and id say skip the everest for a different crawler later when you can afford more . And the mini t 2.0 now . lots of upgrades for it aswell . i have the blue mini t 2.0 . very agile and surprisingly durable ....

I have the everest 10 and I put on a Wrangler hard body its cool but very slow . If you are a basher the 10 is not for you Very slow without upgrades. cheers
Great upgrades and always very informative video as always from AmainHobbies. However, I am currently very hesitant with any upgrade because this 5 USD motor keeps constantly causing trouble and needs his 3rd replacement for our Jeep already. I cannot imagine that the increased weight from the upgrades will not make this problem worse. Therefore, I am still waiting for a motor upgrade before investing money into any or all of the other parts. I assume there is still no upgrade motor available?
A common upgrade for the SCX24s motor is the motor for the Barrage. You are goin to have to drill new mounting holes in the motor plate but do some searches on here and you'll find many videos covering the motor install
They have a little flex to them but I can't see the weight of the truck crushing them in a roll over; they feel stronger than that. They should hold up. -Brett
Intake snorkel, not an exhaust snorkel, bro. And the wheels do not immulate "beadlocks." They immulate old Steeles, i have them in Chrome. Also, have some that have actual beadlock wheels also. Good video, man.

Thanks for all the upgrade info I do have a question as I'm new to the rock crawling hobby. I notice that majority of the crawlers run on brushed motors, why not brushless?
Brushed motors do a great job in crawlers because they're smooth, have good torque and they're inexpensive. Brushed motors also perform well in water. You'll find brushed systems in RTR crawlers mainly because it's less expensive than brushless, yet still very capable. -Brett

The stock axial Nitto trail grapplers definitely fit on rc 4wd rims I have them on rc 4wd rage beadlocks

I hate modern rc for being only speed focused, the hobby in 80s was definitely better!

Anybody else having an issue with the charger failing? Is Axial planning to remedy this? I've heard it's a common issue.
I just bought a axial scx24 Jeep it came 2 days ago and I went to charge it and the charger is broke... I got it from model-sports.

Mine broke on the second use. Today they send a new one.
Did you remove the foam from the tires before mounting them? I have heard that some tires run better with no foam in the SCX24
No we didn't. But since they're beadlocks, we might give that a go!

If I remember correctly, the snorkel goes n2 the intake. (Previous military)
Yes it is to prevent flooding of the engine when Intaking air. The exhaust pressure is enough to keep the water out.

I got an emax servo for my latrax and I have to say if you're looking for a metal geared servo get an emax!
Those Sunraysias might look ok on a Deadbolt, but doesnt look scale to me on the Rubicon. I have generic/RGT 46mm swampers on mine

That snorkel up front on the side of the hood is for air intake, it's not a exhaust snorkel.
