I was too young to remember these commercials but remember riding in my grandfather’s 66 impala coupe and my father’s 68 lemans and mustang coupe. Now that Pontiac has passed on I’d love to have my father’s lemans. Thank you for posting this!
I absolutely love how happy and cheerful those Ford commercials are!💙 and being a 20 yr old Native/Indigenous american who is a Ford person, i would definitely buy myself a ford galaxie 500!
People were happier, thru the 80s and 90s. People spoke to each other. Girls didn't freak out if a guy spoke to them, they liked the attention. I would gladly go back and stay.
Joan Parker, the Dodge Fever girl was one of my many 60's crushes. Back in the mid 60's I was watching an old movie from the 30's on TV with my dad and when he saw a convertible coupe, he said that was his first car he bought when he got back from the war. I told him he should have kept because it would be worth a lot of money now. Which got me thinking about today's cars and thought they won't be valuable in the future. As you can see, I'm a bad prognosticator.
Wow! Thanks so much for this video. I've owned a 67 Camaro, a 66 Chevy II and my father had a Galaxy 500. Watching this transported me back to my youth and so many fond memories!
Was a kid during the sixties and remember some of these car commercials!! Then seeing them in neighbors driveways. Ended up having a 68 charger in the late 70s as my first car!! Some hot commercials for back then, especially the girl for the 68 charger commercial !! Probably my first funny feeling if you know what I mean😘 miss those days!!

Some of my funnest times was when I was 17 in my dark red 69 Mach 1. It had a 351w, 4sd. I put in a better cam and at times a dual quad with carters, Hooker headers..Even changed out the rear gears for Fri and Sat cruising which I stopped due to the stress it put on the shock towers. lol I had a gorgeous blue eyed blonde that I eventually lived with.. It was great times..I loved the turn signals on the hood scoop.. One of many cars I would love to have back..sigh lol
When I was in HS in the mid '70s one of my best friends (from a Ford family) had a '69 Mach I 428 CJ 4 speed, red and black like the one in the commercial, with a shaker hood and rear window slats. He paid $2,000 for it in about '75. At the same time, being from a Chevy family I had a '69 SS 396 (L78) Camaro, full cam, 4 speed, 4:11 posi, etc. I got it in '76 for $1600. Just a couple of HS kids with future classics. We used to cruise the strip but mine was wound much tighter and was more ill tempered than his mostly stock CJ. It didn't like stop and go traffic much, which caused it to run hot, and it got only 4 mpg on expensive (46 cents a gallon) 100+ octane, so we'd make an occasional pass down the strip but usually just backed them into spots at one fast food joint or another along the strip and let all the girls in Pintos, Gremlins, and Mavericks cruise past us. And yes, I know exactly what you mean. Out of the 40+ vehicles I've owned since then, that SS is at the top of the list of the ones I'd love to have back.
@@TS-ef2gv I love and probably would have seen you out cruising having fun! I also had a 71 Cuda that got totaled by a drunk woman and why I bought my Mach 1. I have always had a serious Girlfriend since the 3rd grade and man these cars just got me into more trouble. The Most fun and trouble I had I was 18 and had a Italian red Alfa Romeo Giulia - Spider. Girls would literately run up and jump in pushing another girl out of the way when we all decided to go cruising or a day at the river. When a Ferrari 308 gtb gave me a thumbs up and a pretty woman new Anchor waived I should have found a way to keep it. But cars were every where..It needed work and I traded it for a 68 Camaro Rs..sigh..lol You get it..
I loved the whole thing! I was 10 years old in 1965, and was already a mini Gearhead. I knew everything about all the Big Three brands and models. My favorites were from the Ford Motor Company and the Chrysler Corporation. I really liked Mustangs, in 1966 my oldest brother bought a new black on black Mustang, it had a 289 4 barrel carburetor, duel exhaust and a 4-speed manual transmission. All his friends had Mustangs. As soon as I graduated high school in 1972, I bought a used 69 Mach l. A 351 Windsor, 4 barrel Motorcraft carburetor and an FMX automatic transmission. It had power steering and front power disc brakes. I thought it was the best-looking car ever made, and I still feel the same way now. My parents owned a 69 Chrysler 300, 4 door hardtop with the famous Chrysler 440 under hood. A very cool and powerful car. I have only ever owned Fords, Mercurys and Lincolns, and l Ioved all of them. Thanks for sharing this car commercials from the late 60s. Please, keep them coming!
I am the same age as you. My 2nd car was a 72 Ford Torino not a grand just a plain Torino. But it did have a 351 Cleveland got my first ticket smoking the tires lol. Those were definitely the good ole days.
That take-off of Laugh In was great. One of the clips I'll always remember is Arte Johnson peeking out from the brush and saying, ( in that accent) " veddy intellesting, but stupid." Lol! Fun to reminisce.
Vaguely remember one during the 1967 World Series and played a version of the Spanky and our Gang big hit "Sunday Will Never Be the Same". Anyone else remember that one?
The last of the great American cars. No 5mph bumpers, no plastic crap, no catalytic convertors, Ethyl was available, only airbags on a car were backseat drivers, no check engine lights, and then the government got involved.....now we have million dollar Hemi Muscle cars, 100 thousand dollar GTO's and 69 Mustang's.
Some great commercials there; love the 60s style in every aspect; Plymouth had some of the best commercials in 67-69; hopefully you will get to those too;
Great commercials. I was in high school beginning late ‘68, living in Newport Beach in Southern California. So many of these vehicles were on the streets at the time (of course they were….they were new at then). Currently I own a red ‘65 Thunderbird, great car!
When i was a kid i would ride my bike to the 5 car dealers we had and i collected brochures from 67 to probably 82. Saved them and kinda forgot about them for years. When we sold my parents house 10 yrs ago i was clearing out the garage and there they were. I think it was over 500 of them of each dealers muscle cars. Over the next few years going to car shows i sold them and that’s how i bought my 70 Chevelle SS 454 like new. Still have enough left to get a nice Super Bee or GTO, haven’t decided yet.
My first car was a 66' Mustang coupe with a 289, and after High School, I traded it in for a 69' El Camino with a 350. Half way thru college I got a 74 International Scout. Wish I still had all three
That’s super clean! Back in my younger days I bought a well used but well kept 87 Limited with Leather and the 307. That was one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever owned. I left her mostly stock. Unfortunately the high mileage caught up with the transmission.
You know what struck me was that, although quite cheesy at times, the ads tried to be original and different. Today, all the car commercials are the same. "The ALL NEW abc car from xyz company", with some videos of them driving along a mountain road or something.
Bought my first car in 1966. It was a 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza. Paid $625. My current car cost $84K. Inflation over 59 years plus so many more features. Love them both!

My first car was a Ford Galaxy 500 convertible. I loved that car. I also had a pal whose father had a Buick 410 wildcat we used to drive in the cow fields. I miss those days. Thanks for the vid.
60s cars were all the rage but nothing tops the lugshurry of passing the grey pupon in a early 80s landow roofed Crysler LaBarron. Plus with a 90hp four banger doing 0-60 in just over 100 seconds its also a sleeper.
I can still remember the new car smell of my Dad's 1969 Mercury Marquis with the 429CI big block. He was a conservative Brit. So he surprised the hell out of me one day when he lit up the rear tires and left burnout ribbons for 50 feet down the road.
Very good. You keep doing great videos every week. I enjoyed this video. As long as I have been on You Tube I have never seen those Ford commercials. That really sell the car. I saw Oldsmobile too. Thank you for the video and the effort. It is appreciated.

I love the Ford commercials of the late 60's. Looking at those people in the commercials, it just proves how far society has fallen.
I have an entire playlist dedicated to 60’s car commercials. Not that the commercials were better back then, but the cars absolutely were.
Those commercials were not an accurate depiction of how society was. A commercial is a fantasy ideal depiction of society, not reality.

Thanks Steven. We can't tell if you're a subscriber but we think you are! THANKS SO MUCH!

Some great commercials there; love the 60s style in every aspect; Plymouth had some of the best commercials in 67-69; hopefully you will get to those too;
Great commercials. I was in high school beginning late ‘68, living in Newport Beach in Southern California. So many of these vehicles were on the streets at the time (of course they were….they were new at then).
Currently I own a red ‘65 Thunderbird, great car!
I would love to have these files and many more to produce a video showing commercials from various countries during the same time periods.
I love the 60’s Marlo Thomas look!
Cool cars and commercials and that 'red carpet' with the Ambassador was creative. The girl featured in
the Dodge commercial is super cute :)
My first car was a 66' Mustang coupe with a 289, and after High School, I traded it in for a 69' El Camino with a 350. Half way thru college I got a 74 International Scout. Wish I still had all three
I was able to afford a slightly used 1970 Plymouth Duster in 1971 @ age 16 working after school & paid $80 a month. My how things have changed
That’s super clean! Back in my younger days I bought a well used but well kept 87 Limited with Leather and the 307. That was one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever owned. I left her mostly stock. Unfortunately the high mileage caught up with the transmission.
you mean buick regal limited ? 1987 buick had a 307.
I remember ALL of these beauties rollin' in the streets when I was no mo' than fo' yeas ol'...they were new but i was mo' fascinated by the '50s cars.
Great job, enjoyed seeing this. Can you make a pt. 2?
Make a pt?
Yeah, we want a part 2!
Those commercials were so much better so much safer and so much more environmentally friendly. Oh and they are diverse too, so many different models.
Fun fact : Cars in 1969 that were built with 90 % metal and 10 % plastic got almost the same mpg as cars built today with 90 % plastic and 10 % metal
73-year-old bastard--Thank you for bringing up memories. You did a great job!
@@davidelliott3019 73 too.
That Camaro ..... on my bucket list to own someday
in 1969 my cousin bought a new Plymouth Roadrunner. A few years later, he sold it to me.
Back when there wasn't a speed limit in Nevada. I remember 120 mph on Interstate 80 when it had a single lane.
Tune in tomorrow, same Bat time , same Bat station😂
Great time period
Oh Wow...I Was Living In Flushing, NY When Those Commercials Came Out! Great Memories!

I was hoping you would have the commercial for the 1967 Chrysler, the one that’s been stuck in my head for the last 56 years..😂
I don't care how unsafe people say cars from the 60's are. I would rather die in a car from the 60's than live with a modern crossover.
How 'bout being crippled for life from an accident in a "car from the 60s?"
Just don’t take out anyone with you then please.
@@WAL_DC-6B the death numbers haven't changed.
@@svjim1 According to U.S. federal highway statistics, you were twice as likely to die in a vehicular accident in 1946 than you are today. "Happy Motoring!"
@@WAL_DC-6B I guess you don’t work in a hospital, in these times.
👍👍Another Great posting guys .. The '60's - '80's were the best years for auto styling every car looked different not like todays cars.. Thanks Guys for taking us back and remembering the days of youth 😎👍👍🍻✌🖐
50s-70s.
The 80's were great if you liked boxes.
Very joyful to watch! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This was fantastic and love to see more!
Used to go to a car dealer and drool. Today it's like .... Yuck, what is that thing.
Hey can you do a video on Joe Isuzu? Those commercials were funny 🤣
The Joe Isuzu commercials were awesome. Great suggestion.
Good idea!
The Camero commercial was so over the top most of the time you couldn't even see the car!
I can still remember the new car smell of my Dad's 1969 Mercury Marquis with the 429CI big block.
He was a conservative Brit. So he surprised the hell out of me one day when he lit up the rear tires and left burnout ribbons for 50 feet down the road.
Joan Parker in the Dodge commercial 😍
Especially the Dodge girls in the 1970 commercials. A reason for buying a 1970 dart swinger in top banana yellow.
I turned 13 in 1960, I had no idea what an incredible decade lay ahead, it was a golden age for cars, but that was only the tip of the iceberg...
I still drive my car from 68 it's the closest thing to a time machine i can find.
I love the Chevy commercials the best ! However they are ALL GREAT!
Very good. You keep doing great videos every week. I enjoyed this video. As long as I have been on You Tube I have never seen those Ford commercials. That really sell the car. I saw Oldsmobile too. Thank you for the video and the effort. It is appreciated.
Awesome Video Thanks !
The 65' GTG had perfect lines ..
Great job as usual Boca, keep up the great and interesting content!!!!

Interesting how the car design changed so drastically from the 50's to the 60's.
Iacocca.
That's really an amazing change. The cars developed in the period a general design language the defies age.
Those ford's are good looking. My favorite is the Chevy nova 2
My favorite was the AMC Ambassador ❤
I had the slathering wanties for almost all those cars. It was a damn fine time to be a teenager!
Muscle cars, mini skirts and, uh….Viet Nam.
wonder if you could find a car commercil for the 1964 mercury comet or fords carivan of cars
Doctor, I have a bad case of Dodge Fever.
First car Olds Delta 88. Could stretch out and sleep in the front bench seat. Trunk could put tons of stuff in.
A nice trip down memory lane.
5:38 Thats the 64-65 New York worlds Fair. I was there when I was a kid. The first time I saw a Mustang in person at the Ford pavillion. The same car I saw on the turn table.

That building looks a lot like the Drew Ford "Glass House of Cars" dealership that was in La Mesa, CA for decades. I wonder if the World's Fair building was its inspiration.
TH-cam just interrupted this video with a Hyundai ad. Jeez...
Much cooler cars that you didn’t need a mortgage to buy.
