If you down size your hooks to match the width of the jig, what happens if you hooks into bigger fish, will that going to break?
How to know which jig is designed to cast from inshore or use for vertical jig from the boat?
Which jig slides side to side as it falls down the water columns? I want the one that slides side to side erratically as it falls down the water columns, not the one that goes straight down real fast. So which jig do you recommend if I want the one that slides as much as possible and hangs in the water columns for a white before it hits the bottom? I appreciate it very much if you could give me a list of them or even link a few of them here for me! Thanks in advance if you could help me!
Good question, mostly jig that slide from side to side are slow jigs with wider profile like: xesta slow bee, briny breed anchoa slow, zeake s-bit, xesta baby flare, mizuchi swing, zeake r-sardine, LF dub step, takamiya random walk, metal x-flat. You can check them here jighead.ae/20-jigs?page=5

How do you know the jig touch the bottom when shore jigging ? Do you open the bail and feel the line like for boat jigging ?
If you have balanced rod you will feel it on your hand, or look at the line, it will loose tension when it is on the bottom, or look at the tip of the rod, it will spring out in touchdown

+keale s very important to understand the depth of the place you are fishing and make first casts with no hooks attached to check the underwater structure, count how long jig falls to the bottom and then you can attach hooks and play above reefs

i noticed that there are different kinds of jigs, what shape or kind do you recommend for shore jigging?
Many types work well, wider jigs are good for slow play near bottom. Longer and slimmer for faster play to target pelagics

Hi i got solpora light jigging rod.It mentioned in there that jigs from 60-150 grams.Can i use this rod to 5-20 grams of jigs?I got a lot of smaller jigs.
+Udesh Lasantha hello, the rod you mentioned is for vertical jigging, of course you can use 5-20 gram jig, but you will not feel it! Your minimum test is 60g, so that means that you will start feeling your jig at that weight to play it properly. For micro jigs you have to consider other rod

Hello mate, amazing video. Searched like crazy for a vid like this. I fish a lot for cod (bottom fish) in a harbor; i wonder, what jigging method? The one where you do 1 pump and let it sink, or the one where you immitate a weak/dying prey?
Yea, your metal jig imitates bait fish and different type of plays will make different type of action underwater. I can guess that for cod you might need some slow or wide type of jigs, but I never fished for cod yet so that’s just a theory

+wickedEP Racing On this particular video I used 8x braided line 1.5 pe, 35lb leader, rod favorite shooter 15-35g CW. Reel Shimano Biomaster 4000SW, in our area 5-10kg trevally is big size, for that I would use 2 PE line and 5000-6000 reel

How do you realize it has touched the bottom. More than anything, right now I am trying to focus on the whereabouts of my jigs. Nevertheless, getting snagged once a day :D
