Being able to find the flaws in your opponent are very important. And what's probably even more important, is adapting when they start to switch it up. Bad players fold like a cardhouse when their flowcharts no longer work. Good players have either a more complex flowchart in case people adapt, or even more scary, start to adapt on the fly and play game theory.
Every time you see him doing the taunt walk you should jump (in case its the fake one) than wait for his walking to end, there you can punish him much harder, you can punish with c.H or whatever starter you like. I know its off topic, but seeing you drop so much damage kinda hurts
I didn't really want to respond to this but the reason I didn't optimal punish is because I did a lower elo game with a character I didn't know so I can show some of the new players who watch the vid some practical advice. Also, I'm pretty sure I said I'm not punishing optimally, and I know that, and I talk about why that's ok if you are learning a new character or a new game. Part of the point was that I was playing unoptimaly. I don't mean for this to be a rude reply or anything. I just wanted to explain a little since the unoptimal punish was part of the point of the vid. Otherwise, thanks for explaining how to punish it just in case someone else wanted the info as well.
the point of the video was not to proper punish. The point was that you need to think before pressing buttons and this should help you improve. He said at the start that he didn't know the character he was playing too
I've been told I've got a great mindset, but I'm still watching this video anyway! I've definitely noticed myself punishing jump ins, but once they stop jumping, I fold lol. I need to learn to about conditioning. The most I've got with it is using projectiles a lot to annoy them into jumping. Trying to get into frame traps, but my brain keeps thinking "but what if you hit this time?" so I press the button too quickly. As always, fun watch! That Belial probably would have beaten me. Oh! In terms of my progress, I've gotten to C rank!
Yeah my Narmaya is in A rank but haven't been playing much ranked recently. I think I can get S but for the vid I really wanted something around C rank to show what I wanted to talk about. Up to you but if you watch the vid again you can see me slowly adapting and conditioning him to stop using U and Command grab which ends up helping me win pretty easy in game 3. Also thanks for the support!
I went against a Belial who was spamming U WAY more than this guy. I ended up throwing him like 5 or 6 times in a row in game two lol. He pretty much stopped using it after that lol.
if you see a Belial throw out a random 5U please for the love of god just wait for his whiff animation it gives you so much time to punish with a full damage combo please do not let them get away with a $100 dollar fine for committing murder please
I struggle fighting people who spam 66L. I play Yuel and I try to press different buttons but I usually get effed and I'm not sure if I should just use DP or what I'm missing to counter 66L. Or Idk if I should just be patient.
66l is annoying. It's even more annoying when people jump after attempting to stuff it with normals. I've had success with using low attacks to stuff 66l attempts. It keeps my hit box low so I have time to anti air if they attempt a jump in.
@@Control_117@Control_117 I should of put this but I use cag. I'm sure your ways of dealing with it are going to be different. My first thought would be to hold space with f.m/f.h or whatever your poke button is and if they jump, use shortcut dp with yuel. God speed to dealing with it. It is an annoying button.

I was so frustrated in losing and that video make me feel more better, thank you!
I like the way you explain both your and your opponent's mistakes and how to improve based on them
Thanks, I tried my best to make it as practical of advice as possible.

@@SemiQuest For sure! It was great for the showcase! I'm gonna try and work my way up to B someday!

I will make a vid about dealing with 66L
@@SemiQuest that would be great
@@spicyluvsyou I always feel like I lose with my lows. Idk if Yuel's suck or if I'm using the wrong lows
