Just got hired as a cna for the MEDSURG unit, and I'm freaking nervous ! Please let me know what CNA Skills you frequently performed and what to expect on your First day on tbe floor

Every shift as a CNA you will take vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temp, and respirations) so you will want to get very comfortable doing this task! You will pick it up very fast since you will be doing it most likely 3 times during your shifts! Also expect to change people and clean them up it’s a dirty job very hands on and at first it’ll be gross and new but eventually you’ll get it down and it’ll just be another task on the job! Your time management is essential too! You’ll have to time out your vitals, baths, blood sugar checks & patient care. I’ve been doing it 2 1/2 years and when i first started i was terrified too but i promise it gets easier and eventually you get your own routine down and knock all your tasks out with no issues! Best of luck you’ll do great!!🤩

Have you tried the very berry Celsius. Definitely the best flavor. I have been toning them down recently because i noticed that they’ve been keeping me up all night. Have you experienced this at all?

Yes i like that flavor too! but Nope it never keeps me up! I have a high tolerance for caffeine tho so celcius or coffee never effect me no matter what time i drink it!!

Does your school ever feel disorganized? Mine has been and it's been a bummer. I don't just want to graduate, I want to pass the NCLEX ! so they better be teaching me properly. LOL

Yes it feels disorganized all the time for me!! It’s frustrating but I promise you will do fine and be prepared!
