I like that Gabrielle wanted this story told - hey, you can be the valedictorian of your class and have the most book smarts and still end up in this situation, it takes one time and it is a real situation people deal with every single day . This was brave even though eventually it ended up with her being written off the show. I also think Gabrielle wanted to be done at the end of Season 5 anyways.
Gabrielle Carteris was 32 at the time of filming, much older than 19 year old Andrea, and specifically asked the writers to write in her pregnancy. They were reluctant, as they didn't know how to add a baby into a teen show, and shortly afterwards, Andrea was written out.
Kelly and Andrea's friendship was really nice to see how it evolved. Now if I were Andrea, I wouldn't be too excited about that picnic. Could never get into those. All I can think is all of the ants that are going to be crawling all over that food. Blech!
While I didn't mind Andrea's pregnancy happening because of Gabrielle Carteris' real life pregnancy, it was sad that most of Andrea's stories revolved around her daughter Hannah or her marriage, and not being an ambitious career woman. You seem to have to constantly choose between career and family, and can't have both.
I remember being annoyed as a kid/teen watching this storyline because it was about boring adult stuff. But as an adult now, I at least appreciate that they showed how hard it can be, and that some of the obstacles were actually somewhat realistic-they’re tired and stressed and young and don’t have a lot of money.
If you get pregnant at 19, you usually do have to choose between a career and family and you can't have both. You're daughter's life is now your life. The storylines were more realistic
This show in terms of writing and storylines went downhill when they arrived to ucla and boring. No wonder Shannon didn't care about getting layer off for awhile and entered a better more modern show "Charmed".
@@liljay216 Umm that's some revisionist history right there. Shannon cared a lot about being fired and there was a 4 year gap between 90210 and Charmed. Where all she did was cameos and bad made for TV movies. And Charmed wasn't better than 90210. Charmed was the cheesy, non-violent, soap opera version of Buffy, without the witty writing.
Even though Andrea and Kelly weren't really close pals, I did like that Andrea chose to confide in Kelly about the pregnancy, and that Kelly tried to advise her about abortion.
If Kelly was ever pregnant and kept it a secret..it most likely would've been Steve's..they been together and have a weird connection throughout the show as if they have a secret between the two
Kelly's hair is sublime here. Brenda and Kelly's looks are at their peak in season 4. I really like the Kelly/Andrea complicity. No competition, no rivalry, just a beautiful complementarity. And despite appearances, these two girls are very similar.
It would have been better for the show if they just hid Gabriella's pregnancy. They do it all the time on shows so idk why they had to write it in the script for Andrea.
This scene is weird..I feel like Andrea would've went to Brenda instead of Kelly. But then again she probably thought Kelly got pregnant with Steve before or something
Now that I'm older idk if i would still watch this show i loved it but i hate it too.. Don't have sex if you know you can't handle a baby yet. Give it up for adoption stop thinking abortion is the only CHOICE
I agree. People are brainwashed nowadays into making a baby a fetus or a parasite, anything other than what it is so they can legitimize murdering it. It is our school systems and our media's fault. I used to be pro-choice and it took some things to change me around, things concealed from most of the world that people don't want you to know.
I loved Andrea from day one
Wow so glad I grew up in this era...they did some great episodes.

Wasn't she written out because she got a talk show?
I thought she looked pregnant for real.
@@daphneferrizone2335 I think she was, but I think she also left to pursue her own show which I think was very short lived
They are college students here .. not exactly unlikely to fall pregnant .. it’s a bit ridiculous imo
I heard a rumor that they were planning on finally putting her with Brandon but had to abandon that idea due to the pregnancy
Jesses seems like a nice guy. Andrea is lucky to have someone like him.

Andrea looked way closer to a teen with her curly hair.
Yes, she really should have been styled differently.
I think she looks younger in season four than season three though. And by younger I mean 35 instead of 40.
She look like Jennifer Aniston in leprechaun

Well, something will have to take a back seat either way. You can have it all but something is going suffer.

Andrea knows Kelly's the likeliest candidate lol
I feel as if Kelly would be the safest since she's so active in that department
Even though Andrea and Kelly weren't really close pals, I did like that Andrea chose to confide in Kelly about the pregnancy, and that Kelly tried to advise her about abortion.
To be fair it was only because she thought Kelly would have been through an abortion before 😂
I wonder why Andrea assumed Kelly has been through an abortion. She is low key calling Kelly a 304 that’s been around the block a few times.
You know it stung because she follows it up with “do you know who the father is?”
She didn’t mean to be rude though. Lol.

Kelly (Jennie Garth) is beautiful! Totally a Barbie doll ❤
My goodness Kelly is stunning, a barbie and Brandon is ken🔥😍
I agree, Jennie Garth simply gets even more stunning with age. 😍💗
She's so grounded. After being on such a huge show for 10 years and then, pardon for being blunt, nothing of the sort, she just made such a good life.
She’s no Brenda
I agree Kelly is a better looking blonde than Donna
@@trinaqYup
Andrea still in denial about Dan not being the father
I remember something being calculated via timeline or said by fans, but long story short, Jesse is the bio dad.
I always thought Dan was the father of Andrea's baby.
Andrea and jesse look like a couple in their mid 30s and they played a couple half their age😂😂😂.
Kelly's hair is sublime here. Brenda and Kelly's looks are at their peak in season 4.

Not Kelly pretending she understands any of that in the books 😂
Lol yea Andrea knew Kelly had seen more junk than Fruit of the Loom
wouldve made more sense to talk to Brenda the girl who previously had a pregnancy scare?
Whhhaa? When was brenda pregnant? I ask as a casual viewer. I don't remember brenda being pregnant
@@missladyanonymity Pregnancy scare means she wasn't pregnant, just thought she might be.
“what are you going to do?” 🙄
Why the 🙄?
Judgemental much?
Andrea should have asked John Sears for advice.
😂😂
Well if she were to ever have a man's advice..She should've went to Brandon lol
They were never friends 😊 and y’all know it 😊 and if you disagree you’re delulu 😊
Not everyone Sleeps Around Kelly!!!
Kelly was a good friend😊

Jesse =Obama😂

Andrea is the teacher, and she got preagnant with her student ?
Yes
