This is a rare example of a British period house surviving to the present day. Considering its location in east cork, it is nothing more than a miracle that it has done so. I'm very lucky to live very close to there, the gardens are beautiful. I have a copy of a book called "Behind the Green Door." It was written by one of the former servants. It is an interesting story to see from a normal person's perspective. Great video as usual. Thanks.

Excellent as usual thanks for posting. I was just wondering if you have any information on Ballyedmond house Midleton only a short distance from Fota house. It was also part of the the Smith Barry estates and family. The last resident and resident was Guy Foster Smith Barry. It was sold in the 1960s and not long afterwards sadly demolished. Thanks again for posting.

Curses are terrible things for the cursed and for the curser- she wouldnve prospered either. Dont do it. Glad the house is still in such magnificiant condition and being looked after.
