As soon as I read your comment I thought "That's absolutely dead on correct! A combination of back drop with "real life" modeling, almost like a 3 dimensional vision of the group of seven!"
I worked as a maintainer in that area. Well done. One of the best “completed”Canadian layouts I’ve ever seen. I aspire to have my layout look like that one day.
I am in the process of building an "exterior" model railroad. My biggest problem? "If this side is 3 feet, then this side is only 1 foot, then this side has to be..." After seeing your layout I've come to realize there is an amazing number of things I could do even if it was only 6 inches wide in some places. Thank you very much for the inspiration and "unclogging" my mind of the "if this, than that" that has been troubling me. I'm saving this video as reference, to remind me that "more" does not necessarily mean "more". It doesn't have to be 3 ft wide if 1 ft will do the trick. Back to the drawing board, lol. Thanks again for the tour.
I forgot it was a model railroad.... at 2:31 I was looking for my old home lol Amazing how Longlac was captured so well. Even with some selective creativity, I recognize every location ! Excellent work!
Last viewing of trip around layout (sytro foam visible) creative work done is incredible beautiful layout. Micro camera filming has real sense, scale range of vision would not know it is model railway layout.
Your layout is fanomminal Northern Ontario to the Tee. That OPP cruiser has to be moved I think that Officer that was driving the particular car has transfered out. Your work is amazing.
Amazing. No other words. I don't know if you cover it in one of your other videos, but where do you get your vehicles? In particular, that CN pickup at 2:14 and the fuel truck at 2:22.
I would love to know the technic used for making the pine trees. I am modelling central Ontario, and only used super trees so far. but I would love some more biodiversity.
how much space is there underneath the hidden staging? What I mean is how high in cm or inches? It looks as though the shallow depth of the under/hidden staging means you have hardly any grade to overcome to get to the main level. is that correct?
The year I was born and I am viewer 1968! Did you plan this video timing? Seven minutes, seven seconds... on July 7... 7:07 on 7/07 Awesome all around! John Kamloops, BC
Boy all the logging and lumber trains you Canadians model you would think you guys had a bunch of trees, LOL!!! Very nice layout tour Ben!!!! Just kidding about the lumber modeling, you Canadians do have some beautiful Country up there!!!!
Trackside vegetation and water is a masterpiece. Like the Group of Seven, the look of northern Ontario has really been captured here.

FANTASTIC CANADA IN 1/87❤
One of my favourite subdivisions the kinghorn.a forgotten mainline.
This layout captures the essence of single track Canadian railroading through a rural/country setting. I feel I was in Northern Ontario watching this.
WOW! Fabulous layout. My favorite one. Everything is masterly done. Signals, tracks, ballast, scenery, water, telephone pole, crossing, buildings, water etc. Truly awe inspiring. Phenomenal. Thanks for sharing this. Syl.

That has been a while since we were treated to a look around this fantastic layout. Thank you Ben and thank you Justin, it was fantastic.

Wow, really realy beautiful layout! It has somuch wide open space that makes it just very realistic. No overcrowding anywhere to be seen. Great!
I really like the muskeg or wet taiga stretches, really well done! Very nice modeling.
This layout is one of the best I’ve seen in awhile it’s really coming together nicely. Good Job 👏
I am particularly impressed with your track work. So many find it so hard to get straight track to lie straight!
Terrific scenery work and love all the different water effects.
Thanks for the ride, nice layout.
Thanks for the trip around your layout. Great detail and a lot of hard work is obvious, well done
Amazing scenery. I’m from Sudbury and have lived and or visited friends as far north as Smooth Rock and all that is all spot on!

Thanks! Mobius Action Cam.

Great Layout
@BArailsystem what kind of track do you have on your layout?
My layout, as well as Justin's layout (in this video) both use Micro Engineering.
@@BArailsystem Cool I think I like the way the track looks-when I build my layout I will probably use that kind of track
