How we Harvest Pumpkins!

- In this video we harvest some pumpkins from our families vegetable farm.
October is here and that means... PEOPLE NEED THEIR PUMPKINS!
And its not in the form of pumpkin spice! Some people need the round orange versions for themselves. The point of this video is to help you see how we harvest pumpkins to be sold at our farm market.

Recently have been watching a few of your videos and thought to start at the beginning. I gotta say the picking up of the pumpkins could not have been more nauseating to watch on that speed going up and down that often 🤢🥴😅 I like the more recent edits, narration, and sound quality that I have already gotten used to 😂 but what a trip!

You USAians sure eat a lot of pumpkins. We do eat some over here in Europe, but that load would supply at least half my city for Halloween. That type of orange pumpkin doesn't taste of anything here, tried making soup, super bland. Your varieties are probably way better though. People just carve them here, very few eat them.

Alison Shanahan My wife and I love Justin Rhodes videos, we use mechanical, the amount of vegetables we grow it’s easier for us to just use equipment.

Save your Backs and use lopping shears. You don't have to bend over as far and it cuts them great.

you blokes remind me of my 7 siblings and me on our small crop farm in 1960 to 1990.
We rode on the back of the ute/truck/trailer.
No way would I let my kids do that as we did

Why can’t you use a long handle loppers for cutting branches and not bend your back
one hand to cut and the other to carry the pumpkins to where we want them, its a good question tho. thank you for asking it :)
did you guys already plant pumpkins? I planted mine in June and a second batch in July but they are still small, I’m thinking it’s because it’s been 115-120 where I live so I can’t uncover them or else they will burn, any advice for some middle ground?

When I going through your video I have observed lots of weeds on your farm why don't you people cut those and make it as mulch to your Veggies it will retain moisture content and also work as compost to your farm, this is my opinion only

Why aren't you using long handle cutters it would go much faster
I use one hand to cut and the other hand to carry the pumpkins to where we want them.
you should try to cut one pumpkin with nail clippers to see how long it takes :-P
