Hope you are doing well! Look forward to your spring 2024 content. I am outside Annapolis and have been loving your content for my side & back wooded sloped areas. Have planted 100% native in these areas. Your suggestions & techniques have been a treasure trove of info/diverse planting ideas. Hope to hear from you soon.
Have fun with it! I love propagating even though I am not always successful. I am getting a beautyberry this year after seeing Macey's birds all over them eating the berries this winter (@awildapproach).
Hello! I had success with a "curly wurley Willow" cutting only after I moved it from a plastic pot to a clay pot, I think I "heard that" from either Carol Klien, or Monty Don :-) I then transplanted it to the yard this fall... and the deer ate it. My mistake. Loved the chainsaw bit. I suggest your family gift you a STHL Battery Garden Pruner, mini-chain saw, for Mother's Day - that thing is the bomb - My husband won't allow me to use any chain saw bigger than that one - HAHA. Let us know how your Azaleas are doing since you cut them back last year. Thank you for your videos! - "Cheers" -S
I'm going to do a few blueberries and maple leaf viburnums. Thanks for the video. 👍 The chainsaw is probably ok. You just need to sharpen that chain up and it will cut fine. If you cut into the dirt or hit a rock the chain needs to be touched up.
Please let me know in the comments below what shrubs you have had success with propagating using hardwood cuttings!
I've propagated yews, roses, and hydrangeas from cuttings. Always surprised when they take!!!
I’m hoping you are going to continue posting videos. I really enjoy your channel!

Thank you. I’d live to try it ❤
If you do, let me know your results!
Scott the expert re: Sambuca Cabidensis, "I was gonna say that." 🤣
He's so funny!
No success stories yet but you better believe I stuck what I cut from my Clethra, elderberry and Beautyberry plants in the ground to see what roots

Oh thank you for this!! I have gorgeous elderberry shrubs and dogwoods I should propagate.❤🎉
Morning Macey! You definitely should! I really hope I can get a blueberry to take, but I don't have my hopes up.
Loved this!! I have not tried hardwood propagating, but would love a hedgerow for the birds.
Ahh, thank you!!! You should definitely experiment with this. Start with the easiest.
I have never been successful at propagating any native shrubs so this video was helpful!
Great! Elderberry and shrub dogwoods are really easy!

I haven't done hardwood shrub cutrings yet, but I can't wait to try it on my dogwood seedling or clethra alnifolia this year
The Chainsaw! Hysterical 😂😂😂 🍴🍴
Lol! Yeah, that's NOT one I am gonna list in my recommended products!
