I would get a metal tester I saw somewhere I can't remember if it was the news or here on YT that jewelry products from temu contained high levels of lead

What are you all going to do when your local stores close because of Temu. They may be less expensive now but once you can only buy from them their prices will go ski high.

I’ve bought from them for long time now , not sure if you get the promise of a credit if the order is late ( after the quoted delivery time ) we do in the uk. I’ve had it three times now and it’s only been a day or two late . Always happy with there products , now waiting for 3 sweatshirts and a pair of thermal leggings , all for just over £25

I did some research and found that stainless steel is made from alloys of iron, chromium, nickel, carbon, manganese among other metals. Lead is not one of the "ingredients". The lead that is mostly talked about is within the stainless steel tumblers, utensils and containers we drink or eat from. The lead isn't actually in the stainless steel, it is underneath and if the stainless steel is broken, cracked, chipped or whatever, the lead can leak through and be accidentally consumed (which is what is bad about lead, isn't it?)
I had no idea. I just know I like the tarnish resistance of it. 🤗

I hear you, Kim. I was skeptical about the lapis especially.. I generally order stainless from TEMU. Anything I have gotten has been great. Honestly, I wouldn’t have done the review if I hadn’t used so much in the past and current.

LOVE Temu! I spend way too much money on there but I know I am getting some really good prices. Most things I've gotten are good. There have been a few things that I returned and have gotten my money back for without any problems. I have noticed that sellers are starting to sell smaller quantities of things so you need to be careful. Some things are now cheaper to buy on Amazon because of that.
Also, have you made a necklace in a video with the S-shaped clasps? I have never used them and may get me some.
I plan to use them soon! I was excited to find them, I really didn’t want to go through making them. lol

Hi Amy, I don’t shop at Temu but every once in a while I’ll look peek and look too see what new things they, but I didn’t see the items you have and I absolutely love what you have. 😊 okay I have a question I’ve noticed all the earrings from BBB’s sister store and Curated & its sister store the earring are so long. I mean it’s okay for the adults but I’m trying to make those Halloween characters from BBB sister store for kids and the earrings are kinda long and so is the question lol where can I find small ones or can I cut them short. I've been purchasing metals from temu for the past 1.5 years. The plating has held up to this point on the jewelry I've made for myself with it.

Sorry, I have to ask. Are you sure you're getting jewelry quality stainless steel, or just steel or as that chain you love, steel color. Jewelry quality stainless steel that I've found costs as much or more than sterling silver. Make sure it's actually jewelry quality stainless steel and not industrial stainless or just steel. Steel color does not mean stainless steel, so just be sure before you make and sell anything with it.
This is why I’m doing this. I’m testing all of this meaning how does it hold up, does it tarnish? Steel color is not what stainless is, yep you are right. When I’m ordering however, I’m ordering a stainless steel product. If it ends up being a joke, trust me I’ll advise that as well.

@@CampbellCreations-ByAmy Thanks. It will be good to know. I noticed one of their items actually said it was 304 Stainless which is what most decent stainless jewelry is made of. I have a hard time finding any 316L stainless findings which is considered the highest grade for jewelry. Am eagerly waiting your testing results because the prices are great.
