      What people don't know about the kill counts from vietnam war, the US army inflated the kill counts due to a new tactic they implement to reward the soldiers depending on how many enemies he manages to kill.
      There's many factors that made the kill counts inflate so much. In a guerilla warfare it's really hard to tell who you manage to kill, soldiers also reported higher kill counts on purpose in order to get a better promotion, there were many instances of US soldiers genociding village and counted it as kill counts, the officers of the US in each company reported a higher kill count as well for a better image of their company, then the higher ups as well as US media also inflated even more the kill count as a propaganda and to show progress of the results of their sons being sent into a meat grinder. Majority of modern US people don't know how to do research properly, it's like looking at a scientific study without looking into the details like wether it's conducted by a trust worthy source or not. But it's even harder when your ego is at risk, so I kinda get it.
      You can check some testimony on youtube that really speaks of vietnam war like:
      -Vietnam War Body Count Was Just Bullshit
      -Vietnam war #3(Rape&Murder)
      I believe you can get a fuller picture of what really happened. Because some movies of the vietnam war do portray the reality, but they do not want to show the public the really messed up parts.
      The thing they say about major battle is kind of dumb because you manage to capture a position, but you still lose it anyway right after while the enemy managed to hold it forever till you captured for few seconds and lose it right after....

      Quiccck reminder from your local history buff. We didn't lose Vietnam. We withdrew because the war was pointless. Nixon was fed bogus Intel that the Russians were helping a Vietnamese terrorist group called the vietkong in trade for a place to put an ICBM launch site and storage facility in there country. (Russia is like Texas, when they do something. It's HUGE! It was practically going to be the whole country!)
      As it turns out, the Russians knew nothing about this plan because they didn't make it. It was a fake to get America's help to squash the terrorist group from the Vietnam government.
      We didn't lose, we also didn't WIN. Bit we learned a valuable lesson about taking a secret agents word seriously, lol. *cough* The CIA is a bullshit organization that has gotten us involved in many wars of imperial intrigue *cough*

      @Quang1999 ปีที่แล้ว +49

      @UkraineUASlava china literally invaded vietnam 4 years after they’ve won the war against the us and south vietnam. Nobody said vietnam wasn’t supplied, but the tanks and jets are used to fight the war for reunification, not to demolish the opposition by bombing civilians and forest, or releasing agent orange and chemical to rural area.

    • @Quang1999
      @Quang1999 ปีที่แล้ว

      @UkraineUASlava you do realise that the war is 20 years long right? those amount means nothing compared to the weapons the US bought in. You also conveniently hide the timing of China's intervention. They only sent in 300k troops from 1965 to 1968. That is the total number of people they sent in, the most was only 170k. The intention was to keep Hanoi from falling, not for Vietnam to win the war. As soon as Vietnam was gaining advantage in 1970, China pulled back all of their aid and stop the supply line. They wanted to keep the war to go as long as possible, then when Vietnam was the weakest, they strike themselves.
      Also what crime did they do in Cambodia or Laos? Do you actually read history or just read the headline? They were freeing Laos from Indochina/French, freeing Cambodia from Pol Pot who was murdering their own people and attacking Vietnam's border. These days, Laos is a close ally to Vietnam, while Cambodia is a puppet government of the Chinese.
      Both Laos and Vietnam are still severely impacted by the US and France until today. You can still find active minefields in and disfigured people thanks to agent orance in both countries.

    I do love the Vietnam meme. The US had a crazy kill per casualty ratio even among _just_ combatants. It was something like 12 Vietcong and 8 civilians per American casualty. Most of those casualties recovered as well because, you know, western medicine. Meanwhile, the Vietcong lost most of their casualties as fatalities because it’s hard to have a sterile, industrialized medical environment when you’ve been bombed back to the Stone Age.

    • @KFC431

      It's funny because you do support the fact vietnam is having a hard time is due to US bombing back to stone age, and yet vietnam is doing a huge comeback after US stops crying by revoking it's sanctions on the country.

      In communism, all property is owned by the state, while in socialism, individuals can own property.
      In communism, the state controls the major means of production, like factories and mines. In socialism, the state or government controls the means of production, but individuals can still own property.
      In communism, the state is responsible for the economy, public order, foreign relations, and defense. In socialism, the state's role changes from political rule to scientific administration of production.
      In communism, goods are distributed based on the principle of "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs". In socialism, economic resources are allocated equally by a democratically-elected government.
