Quiccck reminder from your local history buff. We didn't lose Vietnam. We withdrew because the war was pointless. @UkraineUASlava you do realise that the war is 20 years long right? those amount means nothing compared to the weapons the US bought in. You also conveniently hide the timing of China's intervention. They only sent in 300k troops from 1965 to 1968. That is the total number of people they sent in, the most was only 170k. The intention was to keep Hanoi from falling, not for Vietnam to win the war. As soon as Vietnam was gaining advantage in 1970, China pulled back all of their aid and stop the supply line. They wanted to keep the war to go as long as possible, then when Vietnam was the weakest, they strike themselves. Also what crime did they do in Cambodia or Laos? Do you actually read history or just read the headline? They were freeing Laos from Indochina/French, freeing Cambodia from Pol Pot who was murdering their own people and attacking Vietnam's border. These days, Laos is a close ally to Vietnam, while Cambodia is a puppet government of the Chinese. Both Laos and Vietnam are still severely impacted by the US and France until today.
