    Do a video on how and why you got into trucking. Just an idea

    You need some elecric auto open close traps the same place that sells auto roll over tarps will do it, more importantly you need to install the super cheap but pricless hopper camwra system, you can watch your truck load. And unload. Minimum of 2 hopper cameras, i rin with 6 now. Dont wven have tk get out of the truck at the fast moving hopeer facilities.
    Get accurate PSI guages for your traler suspension and your rear suspension. You should always, always load most of your load over your axles, its way easier on the trailer and youll notice it rides better. Make your piles bigger over you axles, put less prodict in middle of trailer.
    Cool truck, good gig. I do exact same. With a few trucks really like the 660, yours is set up... add these things to your hopper and imagine how great that gig is. Hopper bottom is the last good $ on the road. Its all about who you know. Can make 2X OTR and be home 4-5 nights a week depending on your runs. Generally hoppers work comes in clumps. Its pretty easy to keep busy. Just gotta get out there... being in the ag community helps me a ton!!!

      It’s a wire to the crank case sensor that’s broken so it thinks it has no sensor. Just been a tad lazy to fix

      MOST OF THE SHORT GRAIN HAUL STUFF HOME EVERY DAY IS USUALLY THE LOWER RATE STUFF BUT IF YOU ARE WILLING TO STAY OUT AND DO THE LONGER STUFF THRE IS BETTER PAY AND IF YOU CAN GET INTO THE HUMAN FOOD STUFF FOR CEREAL THERE IS BETTER PAY OR IF YOU CAN HAUL FERTILIZER OUT OF CANADA.

      @@wyatt12358 it’s more than grain to be hauled locally. It all depends on who you know.

    • @wyatt12358

      @@tc3354 yes for sure. that usually goes for any job. i hauled grain and fertilizer locally for several years for about 3 bigger country elevators. one of the main managers was my cousin and his nephew was also in management. the better pay was usually during the fertilizer seasons spring and fall or when i could haul in and out 24 hours and then i had some guys that would slip seat with me and i could go take my ten hours off or do my 34 hour break and still keep the truck moving. unfortunately those two managers died and chs took over the companies and chs will throw you under the bus and go get the cheapest person they can find. Plus the smaller farms have sold out or consolidated with other bigger operators that have their own trucks and doing business more at a wholesale level.

    Can’t lie. Everyone around me says there’s no money in hopper bottom. They only stay in Arkansas though. They say the only time you can make money is harvest. Idk if they are gate keeping or not. I know they all bitch and moan about more and more hoppers coming out and taking their work from them. Can you speak on that? Do you run local or otr? I’m sure that would make a difference but then again idk. Hope this makes sense to read lol

    • @660barcelo
      @660barcelo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It makes perfect sense. I don’t run on a load board I have a customer I run for so I don’t need to be competing for loads. I have certain runs
      Houston-Dallas
      Houston-El pasó
      Lafayette-Dallas
      Lafayette-Covinton TN
      Brownsville-Dallas.
