I was only 12 in 1972. Now I find myself looking back quite often. It can be bittersweet. So many folks are gone and favorite television shows are no more.
You've captured my feelings exactly. It's also so cool that Judy responds to the comments. FYI on Christmas Eve we always watch the Homecoming. Memories come flooding back of a simpler time. God bless all
Thursday evenings........ Thursday evenings........Thursday evenings...........The Waltons..........that day, and time frame was embedded in my soul , especially from the Baby boomer generation, as it was very special, seeing this family, as we all, as well as myself could escape our realities for the evening, and start our Fridays, & weekends sharing about the previous night's episode. A glimpse at a family who put God first. as well as their love for each other, and their fellow human beings.... Priceless,,, Thank you Judy
As is my tradition every year along Christmas time. I watched "The Home Coming", once more. It's so incredibly heart warming, even to this day as it brings back such wonderful memories from when I watched this program for the vary first time, when it aired on television...many moons ago. You've come along way since then Miss Judy!
Same here.....I think I know the script by heart, HA! The "piss ant" scene has always been one of my favorites. Over the holidays I was flipping channels and stopped on Hallmark and saw that "The Pony Cart" was coming up so I had to watch it again. Beulah Bondi did such an outstanding job on that and another episode.
My sister is also huge Walton fan, so I gave her "Goodnight John-Boy" as a gift. She follows Kami's FB page & we got into a pleasant Walton discussion to the annoyance of family anxiously awaiting their gifts! We could have talked all afternoon! Thank you for keeping this treasured family alive!
Me and my sister always compare notes about Ask Judy and Behind the scenes of the Waltons at our Family pizza and game night every Friday night! We grew up with the Waltons and still love them...
Thanks for having that blooper reel put together, Judy. It provided the perfect levity for today. Hope you’re enjoying the holidays with your family and get to experience some down time. It’s deserved!
I loved your blooper reel! At least it wasn't one of the cast members surprising you with their nose against your window as you filmed. Maybe I shouldn't be giving them any ideas. 😉
I would have enjoyed partaking "the recipe" along with the Baldwin ladies.🥃 (never mix the grape with the grain). Happy New Year to you and yours, Judy!!😃
Aaah bloopers, that quintessential reel that shows we are all human and all make mistakes and in some cases, on purpose for a laugh😂. Thank you Judy for a very different and amusing segment today and best wishes to you as always from your waltonian superfan in a cold foggy England😉
That was fun. I always thought that was your backyard, so it was odd to see people walking by! You always sound so poised and elegant. Glad you are only human!!!!
Hilarious! I'm actually okay with the passersby being left in...gives some authenticity to your setting. Had to be some good animal outakes where Reckless or Blue had a moment!!
The bloopers at the end were hilarious. Just the look on your face was priceless. LOL My eyes are honestly watering from laughing. You should have segments like this more often when you have enough to show, and some from the Walton's if you can get. And God Bless you for the sneeze in the blooper reel. 🙂 Happy Holidays
I love bloopers, I always look for them in movies and TV shows. In fact Judy you were guilty a couple of times in your last video Memories from The Homecoming. You struggled getting out ventriloquist and as you knew at the time you fumbled on Hawthorne Dooley's name.😄😄😄
Very true. Sometimes I let them slide and sometimes I reshoot. I also sometimes say the wrong name and things like that without realizing. Those always get comments :)
Oh what fun this is! 😂 And, bless you! That was one hearty sneeze! I can't imagine the Hollywood Tour bus passengers' reactions to Will and Richard mooning them! Haha! Well, idk about anyone else, but after all the rapid changes in seeing your wardrobe I have decided green is really your color!! And, how on earth do you organize your wardrobe? I was the happiest girl alive to wear a school uniform for 8 years! It's been a long time since then, but I still have difficulty organizing my clothes! You look great in everything, but that bright green really added sparkle to your glow. Have you ever worked with an actor who stuttered or had some other speech impediment? I know there are singers who stutter when they speak, but not when they sing. Thanks for this fun episode, Judy! You're a true blue kind of person and we love you for it. 💚☺️
We all appreciate your channel so much Judy...so very much. Perhaps even more so seeing how much you put into each one of these precious segments...so much of which is out of your control. Much like working on those set years ago. Thanks for the bloopers and sharing those memories of the cast and crew Christmas/holiday parties. Merry Christmas to you and your family with so much gratitude for all that you have shared with your viewers and subscribers and the hard work you go through with each video segment.
Inside jokes are sometimes the BEST ☺️ I love your bloopers 😆 It would be so fun to watch The Waltons bloopers. It would be so wonderful to see a new Waltons reunion show ❤
I loved the personal blooper reel. It was good to laugh along with you for a bit. I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and I wish you all the best in the year ahead - health, joy & prosperity for you and yours! Hugs
Ha ha I had a face plant once in the 8th grade. Got a new pair of white sneakers, couldn't take my eyes of them During class change while running up the second flight of stairs a whole bunch of students on the same staircase I took one last look at those awesome Adidas. Bad mistake, lost my footing missed a step and did a face plan right in the middle of the staircase. To make matters worse slid down few steps flat out making it the most embarrassing day of my life. Have to chuckle when I think about it now, it's just one of those things you'll always remember. Thanks for sharing Judy....🏃♂
Judy, Thank you again for a year of commentary/programming. You provide an escape from a hostile world, an island of calm in the midst of a roaring sea. To you and yours, happy holidays/Merry Christmas. Looking forward to your continued programming in the New Year!
Watched them when I was a little girl back in the 70s. Still watch them today. Judy you were always my favorite and so was “Elizabeth”. We even took a trip to West Virginia to see the house, and school. We even bought a jar that said the recipe. I can watch it over and over.
*Judy, Ahhhh da bloopers...I always love to watch bloopers, as I get to giggle and laugh. But I also appreciate how much hard work goes into filming, editing and then uploading the videos. So this was awesome to see as to how many times you got distracted by those walking past your home or getting tongue-tied over certain words. So Judy thanks for all your hard work that you do. 🙂Have a awesome NYE as you and everyone heads towards 2025. Let there be peace on earth for everyone.🙂nz*
Of course, it's funny how sometimes things that were unscripted wound up staying in the final take (e.g. the toddler performer playing John Curtis talking about how 'Jane' had made him a some pants and Mr. Waite kept it in character as John explaining that 'Jane' was the next door neighbor [who somehow never appeared on camera] and, even though it didn't add (or subtract) anything from the scripted scene, it got left in! BTW, with all the delays from the Burbank Airport happening, did anyone consider a script about an airport moving next to Walton's Mountain so the cast could keep the dialogue moving while the audience would have an explanation for all those airplane noises? Thanks for this and Happy Boxing Day!
It was always fun when spontaneous things happened that we could keep in. As for the planes - since they were jets it wouldn’t have worked for most of the series.
I loved the bloopers. They were fun. It’s good to be able to laugh at oneself. Thank you for making such great videos for us in 2024. I think all of them were unique and relevant! Happy new year! Mary
Thank you for the video. It made me chuckle. I'm so excited for the new year. It will be better than the last. God bless you and your beautiful family.

Hey Judy. Love the Sweatshirt! Something new that I now know about you. Have you ever tasted an Italian wine called Grappa? It is a fortified wine like brandy but with a stronger punch so you sip it, that is unless you want to have a close personal relationship with your kitchen floor. LOL. But it is the reason for my family's success going back to my great-grandfather. It was the Italian version of moonshine which was made in my area of the world in abundance, Prohibition be dammed ! There was a still just off of my great-grandfathers farm that was officially reported to be the largest one that was ever raided in the country. The locals called it Number 5. because numbers 1 through 4 referred to the four coal mines in the area. It was that BIG! There they would turn sugar into alcohol and combine it with homemade wine to make grappa. It was owned by the Mob but run by locals and made for national headlines when it was raided. My great-grandfather was gifted with a barn by the mob and my great uncles were paid to keep an eye on the barn because it was filled with excess sugar until needed to make the grappa during prohibition. Luckily the government never raided the barn and he was never threatened with deportation.
@@judynorton2598 Welleither you did and you don't remember it or most of what you were doing before you drank it, or you haven't had it. Because if you did have it according to directions and custom, you'd remember the jolt. The Baldwin sisters would have loved it. (Might have made a good episode as they are introduced to something that rivals the recipe).
Love the bloopers. I got a special gift from my son Christmas day. I received the entire Waltons DVD set of all the seasons + the movies. I was so excited. I didn't tell my son I wanted it, so I asked him how did you know? He said I hear you listening to the Waltons podcast all the time. :) Last year he got me the Little House series, so now I have my two favorite shows to watch. I look forward to watching all the episodes with no commercials!
Hi Judy, This was terrific! I loved how you closed this segment of bloopers with your own. 😁😁 There was only 1 time when another subscriber noticed another living being ( A Squirrel!! lol) in your backyard while you were filming... otherwise, your segments were always perfect, with no distractions. 😄 The scenes you've rekindled with Richard Thomas and John Ritter brought smiles and some sadness. John Ritter was undoubtedly a genius comedian and dramatic actor who died too soon. As a child, he never stopped amusing my sisters and me on 3s company. & The Waltons will entertain us til the end of time. Thank you for another delightful show. 👍

Merry Christmas to you Mrs Norton ! I grew up watching the Waltons, and enjoy seeing you and the other cast members online. Its a real uplifting treat. Thank you for all the work you put into this youtube channel. The bloopers are fun, and shows us that not everything is super smooth in life. I hope to get to meet you in person one day.

(PS Cute sweatshirt - as someone who loves her nightly wine with dinner - and a bit more after🍷😀- I love the sentiment!)
So glad you enjoyed this.
I thoroughly enjoy all of your segments - I was 8 when the Homecoming came out and never missed an episode thru the end of the show. + the movies thereafter. Love how you've kept it alive and all of the interviews and your behind the scenes are so special to me and THANK YOU for all of your time & efforts to share with everyone!
So glad you are enjoying these. Thank you for continuing to watch.
Loved seeing your bloopers Judy and would have loved seeing The Waltons bloopers. Happy New Year to you Judy and to all fans of The Waltons!
Thank you so much. Happy New Year to you too.
I watched the Waltons from start to finish and loved every episode...

Those are some funny moments! I always thought the actors had swim trunks on when they were relaxing in the pond.
They did, but Will and Richard took theirs off to moon everyone.

Thanks so much, Judy, for sharing your bloopers. As I watched the people walking outside your window, the thought occurred to me that they had no idea they were being captured on camera.
True - never know when you’re going to be captured on “candid” behind the scenes :)
Merry Christmas Judy enjoyed as always 🎉🎉
Thank you.
