At about 1:00:00 - ish , James Gleick and Stuart Brand are talking about which direction the past is, more or less. In ASL (American Sign Language) signing for past tense is a motion of sort of sweeping the signing hand, ususally the right, over one's shoulder. It's best to see it done. So anyone curious can look for it on You Tube. I took ASL long ago, my apologies if I got this wrong.

Something happened in the past, an event. We experienced it and percieved it in a certain way. It has come along with us carried from that point. How we felt, how we saw, how we perceived.
We look back at that experience from time to time and realize that this event has made who we are as a collective.
But now I look back on that event with my perception of reality changed from experiences in the present. Looking back at that experience, my perception of that moment has changed. I change my version of the past from the present, thereby changing the present and the future perception of reality. This little nudge also changes this for you.
Fluidity, time travel.Because we perceive and choose we can go in and out of time. It's all perception

If you went back, would you have to calculate where the earth was in physical space? Earth is rotating, moving through space, along with the solar system, galaxy, etc..

I used to wonder that, but Einstein answered that question for us by defining spacetime.

I would go to a Pacific year in the future and right a book on it people would probably think its fiction but be shocked when the predictions are true unless the government take it, i really wish there's someone out there telling the truth.

If the universe, as we know it, is a teleportation device then all movement in spacetime is a type of detailed record. A record can be replayed. Future events may even be projected, predicted, as statistically possible future movement and position.
If this type of time travel is possible then Planck length scale blackholes are very very hairy.

Send a neval fleet back in time to keep everyone away from North America and see what culture and technology the Native Americans would have developed. It would have taken a little longer but it would have been amazing to see the Native version of Wakanda.

This lecture has a major flaw. There is absolutely no definition of time presented here. Before one shall speak of time, one must present the definition of it. Also, this program forgets space. If one moves in time, one must move in space. Also, it just jitters me when scientists measure time with clocks. Clocks don't measure time. Wall clocks measure radian distance. Atomic clocks measure the amount of vibration of an atom. They do not measure time at all. There exists no contraption manufactured by man that ''feels'' time. People in the audience would like to move in time backwards or into the future. OK. So, when would someone find himself in the future? We know that the past has happened. But we don't know the future. And what happens when someone wants to travel to the year of 3000 and found out that time has ''ended'' the next day of his life? He would travel in time just one day.
Time travel is impossibe. But space travel can be as I continue further here: If (and I believe what he proposed) time is non-existent, then the concept of Einstein's relativity theory breaks down. Time is man's mind construct. In relativity theory the speed of light and at which supposedly time stops is erroneous. If time is an illusion then in relativity theory we must consider only movement in space which I believe is quantized and constitutes of some unknown particles which can again be manupulated. With time being an illusion, space is an arena where events play their part and the events moving in space give us the time illusion. It is events in terms of deeds which are in constant motion thus depicting something in some illusory concept of time. By manipulating space and not time, some other entities that reached a very sophisticated means of intelligence can displace themselves. Traveling in time is rather impossible because moving in time the whole issue of events would be changed, thereby producing a different ''future time'' outcomes. But by moving from ''past'' or ''future'' space is perefectly feasible forgetting the time concept for it is a pure illusion.

Is time travel possible? Absolutely. The Bible says if we repent of our sin, believe in Jesus Christ, who was put to death on a cross and ask him to come into our life, we will be BORN AGAIN.
He will come in to your life, he will make everything new, the old will be gone and you will be able to start again. You will see the world through different eyes and when you eventually die you will go to eternal life.
Read Revelation in the Bible and you will see what is happening now in the world coming to pass in the words of the book. It makes it very clear that we are not going to go to some mystical heaven up in the sky but heaven is going to come down and there will be a new heaven and a new earth for those who love the Lord.
