predator engine dropped a valve

On February 9th I decided to put the hemi engine back on the mini bike and I removed the governor and had to put the push rods back in place, well while doing so the lash cap on the intake valve fell off and I never noticed, I was riding down the street and then the engine shut off and made a terrible noise and had no compression, welp it dropped the valve and it got bent, and today I got a new valve and got it going again.

I had the same thing happen on an r210 engine, except when it dropped in mine it shot it through the head made a new hole through the port into the valve galley, the slip on spring retainers are a terrible design.
This was on a generator 😆

This is the cause of wrong valve lash ? Or floating springs

Lash cap fell off when I was assembling and I didn’t notice

@@andrey4714 first 30 seconds riding with the new springs and I was like holy shit it revs and bam it’s clacks and shuts off and sounds terrible and honestly it thought it threw a rod

I'm wondering if your neighbors are calling the police? I know for sure they call on my street. The police never come down my street unless someone calls about something. I just ride in the yard which isn't that much fun. I can only do a few seconds of full throttle bursts.

Actually my neighbor did call the police on me last month. I try to ride in the fields by my house but that gets boring and I break the law sometimes 😂😂 don’t need a mini bike unless your taking risks.
