May I know what is the difference between this Craft Wire you have used and the Artistic Wire18 Gauge? I have tried numerous times using artistic wire to make this bracelet, followed every step in slow motion as well, but I cant seem to get the same result as you do. Please advise? =)
We've found it easiest to add the beads before wrapping the wire to the jig, we've got a video on that technique here: th-cam.com/video/0ND_qSU8n_g/w-d-xo.html
Hi. Can 1 flush cutter be used for all sizes of memory wire/ copper wire etc? Does this tutorial applies for expendable rings? What are the tools required?
For memory wire you will want to use a special flush cutter, if you use a regular flush cutter it will ruin your cutters. The bracelet jig is only for bracelets. If you are making a ring you can try to use a mandrel but the tools for the wire should be the same. Here's a link to a cutter that will work with memory wire: www.beadaholique.com/xuron-memory-wire-cutters-cutting-pliers-strong-easy.html
Lindsey you can use memory wire if you don't want to use the artistic wire. But if you use 16 gauge artistic wire, that is some pretty stiff wire, and probably has more resistance to being pushed out of shape.
Memory wire can be worked with this tool but it's really best used for more intricate shapes that are difficult to manage with memory wire without a lot of hand strength and a bit of practice. Those pieces are soft and lightweight when done with craft wire. It's that common DIY trade-off between fragile and fancy, and durable and minimalist.
Yes all the common gauges of jewelry wire will work. You can even use memory wire but it does take a lot of strength, and you'll want to be cautious to not apply too much pressure to the ring itself (say by gripping it for leverage) since it's perforated plastic
We don't usually hammer the ends of a wire to flatten it, instead we prefer to use a wire rounder tool like this one to make the end smooth beadaholique.com/products/wire-rounder-tool-with-wooden-handle-1-8mm-cup-bur If you do want to use a hammer to bend the end of the wire against something firm, sort of like an old fashioned nail, I'd suggest trying a nylon hammer. Nylon tools are always best when you're doing general wire work since they're better on plated metals beadaholique.com/products/eurotool-domed-face-nylon-hammer-for-metal-smithing
after harding the bangle the the jewery black rubber will not fit it, Do you have a video showing how to work with a very small hole in a charm like CRYSTAL INNOVATION 2007 item
That tool is actually a mandrel. You can find them on our site in the following link: beadaholique.com/products/hard-wood-round-bracelet-sizing-bangle-mandrel-wire-wrapping-tool Thanks for watching!
I do not think it's readily available at any craft store, but you can definitely look at your local one since all stores have different inventories. We sell it on our website here: beadaholique.com/products/artistic-wire-3d-bracelet-jig-create-bangles-cuffs-and-curved-components-2-75-inches

So if I need to make a bracelet out of 16g Sterling Silver wire that is 8 1/4 " and expands to 9 1/2", how can I best calculate the length of wire needed without excess waste? 16G SS will need to be work hardened on a mandrel, correct?
+Angie Ryman I think to have a bracelet wire that will truly bounce back requires some more advanced metal smithing and professional equipment. To some extent all craft wire (and even sterling silver) will bend out of shape when the "expanding" happens. My best advice would be to expand the bracelet carefully and then help it along to get back in shape. Another thing you could try is to work harden the bracelet around a bracelet mandrel.

Wouldn't this requiring annealing of some kind in order that the bangle doesn't lose its shape when it is worn?
Thank you
You bet Brenda. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing
Glad you liked it!
thanks. never made one before.
So much like thankyou you very much
Are you able to add beads and charms to it after it’s been wrapped on the Jigue or do you do that before
We've found it easiest to add the beads before wrapping the wire to the jig, we've got a video on that technique here: th-cam.com/video/0ND_qSU8n_g/w-d-xo.html

superbbb
is there a way to harden the wire so it won't bend out of shape?
Lindsey BCarrlackhurst
I wonder the same.
Lindsey you can use memory wire if you don't want to use the artistic wire. But if you use 16 gauge artistic wire, that is some pretty stiff wire, and probably has more resistance to being pushed out of shape.
You can hammer the wire
This really helps. Thank you :)
It's better to use memory wire., Flexible wire will deform it's shape super quickly

Can you use any gauge wire or craft wire to make the bracelets on the jig or even memory wire?
Yes all the common gauges of jewelry wire will work. You can even use memory wire but it does take a lot of strength, and you'll want to be cautious to not apply too much pressure to the ring itself (say by gripping it for leverage) since it's perforated plastic
thank you got some more information from watching
if you were to flatten the ends of the wire, what type of hammer would you use? thanks! so which is the best?

Would the bracelet bend if accidentally applied with a little too much force?
The bracelet is very sturdy, so regular wear should not affect it. Thanks for watching!
what an idea?
fabulous👌👌👌👌
nd plz tell me where it available and i found
nd plz tell me cost of this wire
So that purple thing is what’s going make the shapen
Hi. Excuse me that thickness and how long should be the thread for this beautiful bracelet? thanks
We used about 15 inches (38 cm) worth of wire to make the bracelet. The thickness of the wire is 18 gauge, or 1.02 mm
How can I make it without the purple mandrel? Thanks
You can try this method. th-cam.com/video/kRQ2fu2SXM8/w-d-xo.html
Is it a good idea to harden the 18 gauge wire? Thank you. You are a great instructor.
Yes you can work harden 18 gauge wire. It is general very thick on it's own, but hardening it couldn't hurt.

How to make your bangle is very simple and pretty .Thank you♡
Thanks Yuko, glad you enjoyed it!
Dose it have to be copper wire?
We recommend any non-ferrous wire. Thanks for watching!
so for 18g craft wire of 15" in length, what size adjustable bracelet will this make?
Using the 15 inches of wire in this video, we made a 6 1/2 inch size adjustable bracelet.
Beadaholique adjysts from 6 1/2 to...?
About size 7.

I made one of these today with 16g wire and it keeps bending out of shape when i expand it. Any advice?
