PETER Is adorable ... and he is probably one o f the best CGI directors.. bt what he did on LOTR is simply unmatched.. both franchise fulfilment and classy and critically good.. all in one franchise.,. and steven is my all time favorite overall.. Jurassic park and Jaws..
I agree. Luckily the Hobbit prequel movies are also really great. Unlike George Lucas's Star Wars prequels where he forgot about the story in a CGI mess.
Thank you for bringing to this to live screen!!! I grew up with Kuifje. So awesome to see this on the big screen, and with beautiful music by John Williams no less.
Loving Peter, it's amazing even at a young age how much i can relate to him in the sense of what drives him. It's the same reason I'm also working my way into the entertainment industry. I've grown up with Peter Jackson's movies and his stuff has been a huge inspiration to me. I hope to one day work along side Peter on a CG movie.
Also listening to what peter used to do, that's exactly what I did at that age going to a school and uni library and go through all these books lol. My mind was always filled with wonders and I had no way of conveying these wonders to life...sign(nostalgia)
It's so weird to see Peter Jackson in 2011. In 2003 he looked definitely older. 8 years later he looks suddenly so young because he lost a lot of weight.
You could definitely argue that, the Lord of the Rings films are my favorite all time so... But realistically I'd probably put Nolan, James Cameron, Scorsese and even Ridley Scott above him on body of work. Obviously we are excluding many older directors here to.
@@mith2946 He's one of the best directors of THIS genre. With the exception of James Cameron, none of those other filmmakers you mentioned could top him as far as technical innovation and unabashed crowd-pleasing sensibilities are concerned (not even Nolan). I think Steven is the more talented director of the two, but I honestly have more respect for Peter Jackson as his movies seem a lot more personal, sincere, and passion fueled than Spielberg's more assembly line approach.
@@mith2946 The Lord of the rings is better than anything that Scorsese, Nolan, Cameron, Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino, David Fischer Although I love their movies especially Alien Aliens and terminator 1 and 2
@@lukeschroter9389 I absolutely love lotr but i cant say if its better or not then any of the films that those directors made. U cant say that cuz its all objective.
I would love to see these two work together on a live -action project that is just as epic as TinTin. In fact, I had an idea for a movie that was like Peter Pan/Hook, Aladdin, The Thief Lord, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Wizard of Oz, Avatar, and Lord of the Rings rolled into one that I could see either Jackson or Spielberg, if not both of them, being the director of!
Bit ambitious innit? I don't think practically people will be willing to give you, someone who has no prior work, a massive Peter Jackson or Steven Speilberg film. Nonetheless, always worth a try and never say never!
Seeing Spielberg and Jackson getting interviewed is like seeing the master and his student, so we're talking about two directors whose legacies will live forever. Regarding Peter Jackson, the fact of working with a genius like Spielberg is a dream come true.
I’m confused. The movie looks animated but the rendering looks so realistic! Did they make the animated background and then asked the people to act or was it animated completely?
Never cared for both directors their movies nor did they appeal to me. This movie was enjoyable and very funny though not on par with the comicbook in it's subtle nuance and humour, it proves that these two directors are more interesting than I thought and it's very cool to see it all come alive on the big screen. They did a pretty good job and there should be a sequel most definitively.
tintin is immortal. therefore it cannot be exploited by mortal film director, however skilled they are. You don't produce to cinema the three musketeer without inventing an other story.
I wonder if I can beat these two if I'm directing. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I can create a masterpiece of masterpieces. I have a vast knowledge of camera angles, databases of movie knowledge spreading through all the genres. I know what appeals to the audiences.
Huh. Something tells me that this reporter is pissed when Peter says the looks of actors/actresses doesn't matter as much as their acting in itself lmao
As a fan. This movie doesnt match the comic. The Bird brothers left out Omar Bin Salad not a drug kingpin. No speedboat chase. I am disappointed. If they make a sequal then i will compare. But Sakharin wasnt the villain in the comic. Thats the worst blunder. Moule gaufre
You didn't mention the fact that they combined Crab with the Golden Claws with Secret of the Unicorn+RR's treasure. But they dropped all of the boating adventures in Red Rackham's treasure.

I love Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg ! :) They made the Tintinfilm so great and the animation is amazing :)

@@NormAppleton yeah a kinda lame adaptation to be honest with the "talent" involved
Two of the greatest to ever touch a camera
Such a shame we never got sequels to this.
But Vin Diesel and The Rock driving cars makes a billion dollars.
And the cars leaping buildings.
And street racers being sent to space
I'm also amazed to see that famous movie Tintin doesn't has any sequel, it's really a shame.
I can listen to these guys talk about films all day.
Loved this film!
Me too! I feel like a ten year old watching it. And it is really beautiful to look at.
Just came back from Ready Player One. Please!! Let the next one be TinTin 2
Absolutely a work of art by two true film-makers

precisely.. although there are some bloated action sequences , the story remains strong. and will get stronger with the third movie
Actually my favourites are Peter Jackson, then Edgar Wright...
Then Tarantino, Sergio Leone, Guy Ritchie, John Landis so on...
Don't forget Saving Private Ryan. It had fantastic practical effects.
Thank you for bringing to this to live screen!!! I grew up with Kuifje. So awesome to see this on the big screen, and with beautiful music by John Williams no less.

I hope all is well.

such an interesting interview. they seem so down to earth for men who created such popular films. really enjoyed it.
That meeting at the Oscars led to this. :D Dream
All these years later and it still blows my mind that my two all-time favorite directors got to work together.
These guys look so down to Earth, especially Peter Jackson. Lord of the Rings is my favourite movie ever, I guess you could say he's my preciou- hero.
There will probably never be a movie greater in scope and grander than Lord of the Rings.
