What I have done is if you have a home. With a fenced in back yard. Inspect it make sure there is not places it can get out or anything it can chew on and get hurt and let them chill in the back yard while out at work. Then when you come home let it inside and work with it then. I’ve had no problems doing this with many dogs over the year. Also it helps if you already have a dog. That means they can play and keep each other occupied.
Just what I was looking for! I’m buying a frenchie next week and it’s my first time having a dog. When you say “set the alarm for every hour” regarding the potty training, do I also need to go out every hour at night?
Nahhh, puppies usually sleep anywhere UP TO 18hrs a day so taking them out SOMETIMES you’ll have to just make them lol when they’re not a wave of cute ass energy, they are some lazy cute irreplaceable companions. Hope this helped 3 months later lol
I have a question, I am looking at getting a Frenchie. I live in Washington state in the US.(so not a hot. Climate) I live in a travel trailer and I work 12hr days. Is my lifestyle conducive for a frenchie?
Thank you for your videos and I’m excited to take your course. I’m expecting my new French bulldog in 2 weeks. I live in NYC and vets here recommend not taking the puppy outside until fully vaccinated. Now do I start the potty training if the puppy will only be 10 weeks old and unable to navigate the streets of Manhattan? Thank you so much
I’m bringing home a FB puppy in 2 weeks. He will be 8 weeks old and will have had his first jab- can I still pop him in my garden to start toilet training or do I have to wait until he’s full vaccinated?
yeah some exposure to the outside is completely fine however I would advise against taking them to meet too many other dogs before he gets all his shots though.
Your garden should be fine, is Parvo a thing in your area? If yes, I'd wait until he had all the vaccines before taking him to places where a lot of dogs are. But you still can carry him to places, exposure and positive associations with going outside are always a good thing, especially at that age.
Harness and not collar on bulldogs. No people food and they won't com begging while you eat. take outside for bathroom right after feeding. Understand limits on brachiophallic dogs, no outside in hot weather. No excessive exercise in hot weather .
We had a new puppy who we took to the veterinarian and they said was healthy. A week later he died because they said he had fluid in his lungs. We were devastated! We took him back to the veterinarian and they weren’t clear how he got fluid in his lungs. Do you have any advice to us on what could have caused the problem? Help Devastated!!
I just got my French bulldog he’s 8 weeks today and he is a handful I’m waiting on his 2nd shots in two weeks then I’ll be training him
Same here !!
how can someone with a job take the puppy out to poop every hour on the hour?!? how about a realistic plan for people that have kids and jobs?
How about dont get the dog then?
@@ScouseanticsMy thoughts exactly. It doesn’t matter the breed - all puppies require this type of management at first!
