- After a Bitch Perfect musical extravaganza, the queens untuck backstage and the bitching really begins. As the queens discuss each other's runway looks and how the judges are living for Kim Chi and Acid Betty's looks, Bob proclaims black is the new nude. It becomes all about the suspect padding of Dax's posterior and Ru seems to have double vision.

No. This season just happened to have a cast of queens (besides Derrick at times) who didn't feel the need to discredit or bring down other queens, unlike the older queens (Ginger, Kennedy, Jasmine) in season 7.

You know I wasn't feeling Acid Betty but when Chi Chi says "you hurt my feelings bitch" you can see the genuine surprise on her face. I know she's getting the villain edit, though, so I expect less of that as the season goes on.
i have started to really like Kim Chi she always wants to check on the other queens. And i could see her going into the top 3 if she starts showing she can do more than just looks. I also adore thorgy thor but acid betty gets on my NERVES.

I honestly believe Acid Betty is a good-hearted person, she just had the unfortunate luck of getting the "bitch edit." The moment Chi Chi said that Betty hurt her feelings, her face instantly dropped. You could tell Betty never intended to do that.
Same! I'm late on catching up this season, but she's quickly becoming my favorite queen! She's smart. If not for her, it's very likely that team would've crashed and burned. Anyone notice that at the reunion Ru went out of his way to rub this in their faces. You can see how much Dax didn't want to be there and wanted to get the conversation over with. That was just as sad as this ending.
Ru does that Alot. I was so pissed in season 9/10 reunions when he harped on about the insecurities a certian queen had. Moniques lipsynch was bad and Ru just rubbed it in and you could see Monique was visably upset and embarrassed. The Vixen left because in her words Ru "poked the bear"

But that doesn't work for Gloria Gayner. It just proved that her range was small and, as she and Michelle said, is out of her league.

The sad thing about Dax's look - If she had just used something white with tons of texture (sequins, etc.) under that green dress - it would have matched the flower and given the entire look a little extra kick. I didn't mind the green or the gathering - it just comes down to all the little details (edging the split of the green dress would have been nice, as well). Dax really is a beautiful individual - has a sort of 1940's look. It's sad to see Dax AND Laila go. Unfortunately, this season, everyone has a polarizing personality. It's going to be sad EVERY week.....

I adore Cynthia Lee Fontaine and KimChi. They're both sweethearts. So far they've been a joy to watch. I noticed that a lot of people are not liking Acid Betty, but I think that eventually we might see that she has a heart after all.
My heart breaks for both Dax and Laila. :'( In Dax's case, it's so unfair having to go home the first time you're in the bottom. And in Laila's case, it made me sad seeing how devastated she was over it. At least Laila is doing much better now, according to her Facebook posts.

Dax says she prefers skintight outfits like catsuits as part of her usual drag. How then, was she in the dark about how her padding looks? You should be aware of your padding situation coming into the show. It's Season 8! That's exactly what got Penny Tration eliminated in the first episode of Season FIVE..
Something about this elimination just doesn't feel right. I know people want to say their lip sync was terrible but it really wasn't that bad compared to some that have happened in the past where there wasn't a double elimination. It just doesn't feel right, and Laila and Dax seem extremely hurt by it, as if Ru was straight up telling them "you're not worthy of being here." I hope Ru knows she made a seriously questionable decision, and out of 8 seasons, this is the first time I've ever felt this. It's just odd.
+BHM Productions I completely agree with this. I think if Ru wanted to get rid of 2 queens in order to bring someone in, that's a total disservice to the competition. If someone isn't ready for the competition, don't cast them, rather than crushing some queens' dreams just for a "shocking" elimination.
+xingcat I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it was. Dax's expression looked so confused, she looked DEVASTATED. I don't really know if they weren't ready though. I think Ru sees a certain something in their audition tape, and when they get to the show, they're less experienced than Ru thought. That's just what I think, ya feel?
Joey Perez I would kind of believe that if Ru just eliminated the two of them, but this kind of "bombshell," where he gets all dramatic about borrowing Michelle's phone and we're left with a cliffhanger about who he's calling makes me think the whole thing is a WOW scripted piece of whatever, and that's really, really unfair to performers who have tried their best to be on the show. Whoever is brought in, if they're going to enter or re-enter the competition, is basically a piece of theater for this season, and both Laila and Dax shouldn't have been used just for a "tv moment" that looks incredibly fishy from whatever angle you look at it.

Seeing the two of them go and all this just broke my heart. I can't imagine how they feel. It was pretty obvious there was going to be a double elimination based on the editing and how it all went down, so I can't imagine how the two of them feel, practically being treated like fodder for the show's entertainment value... That just sucks.
Really loved Kim Chi going over to both Dax and Laila showing some love, and Bob stepping in to help Laila out... Moments like that really are why I love this show (and specifically Untucked).

Personally I don't think Laila was robbed like everyone is saying. She was highly unpolished. Dax at least had decent looks to serve. If anything it should have just been Laila to go home even though I know that was never gonna happen. Let's hope the queen they bring back will at least be worth it.
