- Alex Camarena from Silent Planet recalls his Dad making a tragic decision and leaving his family. Alex discusses how he delt with his fathers choices and how it affects him now.

after hearing everybody's story I have way more respect for this band. they're music is honestly life changing and it's the reason why I fell in love with this band. so just hearing their stories gives me a better perspective of they come from and why they do what they do and it just brings me a lot of joy.
Holly cow that's a very sad history. But at least he didnt follow his dads footsteps.
I saw silent planet when they came to Puerto Rico and played so awesome music. I can wait to see them again.

Wow sadly I can truly relate but it's not just my dad my mother is facing 18 years on top of the 10years she already done when I was 5years old my dad is currently in jail and also my brother is in the streets messing up his life
So it's unfortunate to know both us knows what that feels like you truly are a great artist! N a super badass drummer last time I seen you guys was Roswell New Mexico haha I asked for a drum stick but someone already beat me to it:( lol

I was lucky enough to catch him last night before the band left. I am very shy around people I admire, so I asked him like I was at gunpoint. Really nice guy.

What a sad story. If there is one thing that scripture teaches us is that we are all susceptible to falling and falling hard. David, Moses, two of the biggest figures in the Bible murdered people. There are people that don't fall this hard, live outwardly good lives, but you still don't know their hearts. That is why we're told "There is none righteous, no not one". Jesus on the other hand is out example of what we are supposed to be like and that is what Christianity is really about. It's about fallen, broken, people finding forgiveness with and provided by their maker. I hear all the time that "Christians are just hypocrites" and I see why people say that. Too many Christians build themselves up and then when they fall, people around them lose their faith. But, that is the wrong way to look at it. Our eyes should always be on Christ as an example and those around us, we should expect them to fall, and be there to reach out our hand to lift them back up. Jesus didn't give up on Peter when Peter denied him three times. What greater wrong can a believer do than deny the Lord? But Jesus forgave him and restored him.
