Thank you for such thorough diagramming during the section with x-ray. I would not have understood what you were describing without the triangles appearing. Your videos are truly accelerating my learning. I am so grateful for your teaching.

I am not a horse person. A horse scares me, but my question is rather silly . How do you know if a horses hoof is hurting? So interesting and also . How did you get involved in fixing horse hoofs?

Hello , there are multiple ways of finding out if a horse is in pain. The first clue is how they walk. You get to know what the cadence looks like. You can see when a person is limping or gimping or not bearing equal weight on their two legs same goes for the horse, even though horses are not able to communicate in the English language they are able to communicate, likes and dislikes. It does take years to understand this type of language. Then using diagnostic tools, ultrasound, MRI x-rays you can then make educated guesses on how it may help the current diagnosis. As you become more involved in therapeutic work you start to see trends of things that work and don’t work. of course there are times that you tried to do something that you think will work and help from past experiences and it doesn’t work as well as expected so you gather as much information possible and shift and go another direction. I think I became interested in the therapeutic aspect of horseshoeing when I first started my business and multiple horses were brought to me with different problems. I wanted to see if I could provide some relief for the horse. So I quickly decided to find different clinicians teachers and mentors to help me understand the art of taking care of the horses foot, anatomy how to manipulate and attach different materials . Hopefully this is not too wordy. I love it when a video strikes curiosity for some one so thank you for writing in. Cheerio.
