SMAW and the Stg-44 in portal are the 2 most OP weapons in BF2042. There was a portal game mode called 1942 vs. 2042 and I was able to spank all the 2042 loadouts with the Stg-44.
I swear the stg 44 is a 3 hit kill machine

Not expecting anything meaningful to change the game’s core design, but I really hope they at least reach a playable state for us to join every now and then. I stopped playing 2042 back in February, but I’m really itching for a battlefield of this modern/future time setting; it just sucks that it was executed in the most horrendous way, as they quite literally remove every asset that makes it Battlefield.
Edit, July 9th // Exposure definitely brought life back into the game, it plays well and looks well. Performance is tricky with every patch, but for the most part it’s far a more enjoyable experience. I’d argue and say that even the new map compliments the specialists. More of this art/DLC/QoL changes helps!

I just played for an hour and uninstalled it. Haven't played since beginning of march and now I remembered why. Game's core is broken beyond repair.
You are being unclear when you say “playable” state because the game is fine when it comes to running it, a couple of glitches here and there doesn’t warrant the game as “unplayable”.

That's actually how it's supposed to be irl. It should be comparable to a handgun bullet velocity. In fact training at4's shoot 9mm tracers.

God this Battlefield 3 map shows you how good this game could of been. The detail, grity look, with the new engine.
I don't know how dice made it, without realising it's better than any of the main maps in the game.
Been having a good time with this event, at least when games are populated... I really enjoyed the most recent Friday night battlefield event. BC2 weapons and classes on all maps, with the attachment swapping, vehicle call in and most importantly all class squad mate revive all enabled. That was a banger.
2:47 is the exact reason why ive always loved battlefield, Those small moments. Just seeing that has peaked my interest to buy this game

I’ll admit that shrinking down the portal choices was the right move and I’m sure they will rotate. 2042 base game however…. It’s gonna take a helluva lot🤷♂️ I would rather get more portal honestly.

Rocket launcher projectiles IRL move very fast around 300m/s so the same speed as some bullets. So this is actually more realistic than slow moving rockets

Took a break from BF for a couple months and came back for the infantry focused conquest mode. Had a lot of fun actually. Hoping this weeks patch update brings some goodies. Maybe DICE can resurrect this game…

So refreshing to see this kind of content. The two BF3 maps look low-key fantastic too.
When I heard the BF3 music start coming in, I knew it was gonna be good. I was not disappointed. Sent me straight to a flashback of me squadding up with the boys after school. Had some of my favorite times on BF3.
2:28 that was so good. Imagine if this game was well optimised when its released, ( + class system) tones of player keep play this game. Even with lack of updates.
Still lot of people going to hate the game for gun play and lack of destruction, but still.. This game had a lot of potential

That's pretty much on par with the real life speed I believe. Real life muzzle velocity is 220m/s (720ft/s)
@@Novice0825 Where did you find these values ? I measured 133 m/s on portal and 45 m/s on bf3. If it was 300 m/s, it would mean that the rocket fly across a map in 3s only
They had BC2 vs BC2, with bf3 vehicles on 2042 maps and bf3 maps and it was amazing ! It’s a shame nobody’s talking about it

In BF3/4 I used this as a sniper to rocket long range targets always fun. But yeah this is more how fast I wished it was back in the day. Lol.

This game is awesome!!!! They have fixed so much.... I'm running a 2080ti still and haven't seen any major glitches unless I mess with the graphics drivers versions.... Then I see missing textures etc... Great gameplay, Was more than fun to watch.....😉👍👀 Annette The Crzy4the80sGal told me about your channel too so i subscribed and about how good 2042 has been lately.... I purchased it... I watched two videos on her channel pretty awesome also... 😉😁👍

Jack having this much fun is a good sign for the game although portal wise only, I wish same was true for the main game and that they just throw 128 players out the window for now to make the game perform better 😭 On a side note, beware of the SMAW 😱
Hitting choppers with RPGs and tank shells has always been one of the most satisfying BF sensations

I really hope DICE manages to get people back to 2042 soon enough! I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed the game, but crashes, queue times and general bugs made me quit, it was fun with friends though.
Trust me there's more than just a few who has enjoyed the game, TH-cam is just full of constant complaining so you don't see alot of positive comments because they're just drowned out by the complaining, it's like the hub of complaints.

I actually like the velocity of it, I wouldn't change it. However, it does need to be balanced. I think a good balance would be to reduce the splash damage to like 80 max damage to a player (direct hit still insta-kill though), and increase the ammo resupply time (similar to that of BF4) so you can't get more ammo so fast. I think those changes would be effective at stopping it from being OP against infantry.

Portal is the only good part of the entire game. I still believe a BF3 remaster would be the smart thing to do from a player and business perspective, provided the leave the mechanics and progression as is.

When 2042 was in Beta me and my cousin called it "Breakdance 2042" because almost everyone you die your body would glitch into the floor and start wabling around

My favorite thing to do in this game is get on Friday nights when they have the hardcore featured game mode, and then I kill all my my teammates for the whole match. It’s glorious
