I put it on before bed, wrap in a shower cap and then turbin and sleep in it. I'm a brunette, and it covers the gray and darkens my brunette hair. No damage. I also don't mix it with conditioner, but then I don't ever bleach my hair so it's not damaged. Been doing it this way for years. My hair is purple, and I get lot's of compliments. Clorox clean-up will get the stains off the tub.
For a warmer/darker purple add the black to it! (Additive) the purple does not fade into a blue tone, it fades to pastel purple. Violet is not a blue undertone but more red undertones. I've had pravana purple for almost 10 years, it's the best color for purple! I never add conditioner in the color but, I guess u can, it will not be as a rich dark color as intended. That will cause some dilution of color.
I'm so glad you posted this. I mixed pravana neon green with vivid blue and I now look like a umpa lumpa from the chocolate factory. I wanted teal but I got GREEN!!! But your video has given me the hope that I can put blue on top of this and get my teal. This quarantine has us crazy hair girls doing wild things to our hair at home lol
I also use it straight out of the tube. I dont mix it either.. The violet doesn't stain but the blue STAINS like crazy. I usually use the violet but I see there is a color Purple Tourmaline. I usually leave mine in around 5 hour or so. I wonder how that purple color will look. Keep it fresh by washing is less as possible & was it with cold water. I rinse mine in the stainless steal sink.
I just bought privana vivids red i am just going to throw it on is that wat u do??? I was debating to add conditioner to stretch it but I bought 2 it should be enough
I agreed, the formula is just not the same now days. It used to be very good quality 5 years ago… but unfortunately, that’s not the case any longer. Anyone knows where exactly can I get the original nirvana violet color?

I use this color also, except it turns the front of my hair blue, I would appreciate any tips

You don't have to mix it with anything. It's a direct dye. I don't dilute it because I like it deep purple.
I don't dilute mine either.
And how long these colors last?
I use midnight Ruby, and touch up every 4 to 6 weeks. It lasts a long time.

Does anyone know if this covers gray hair?
If you want to tone down the purple mix a little black direct dye with the purple direct dye then apply
How long did it last?
Cute!!!!!
Rinse in cold water to prevent bleeding #protip
Does this cover gray hair?
Very beautiful
How did you get the stain out of your tub though? What did you use? And how long did your color last without fading? Thanks for the video
There wasn’t a stain 👇🏻 the color lasted quite awhile but I only wash my hair every 7-10 days
How well did it wash out?
How did you end up removing this?
I didn't, I actually just dyed over the top of it because I went back to being a brunette 🤣
Hi! So did u bleach your hair to do this??
Yes, you have to bleach your hair first, and yes, she did it.
@@camilar.n.7980 Well she put it over the pink, so no she didn't do it right then.
REAL CUTE I LOVE IT U LOOK LIKE A SEXY MOM AFTER ALL BOO
The pravana sold on amazon isn’t legitimate, you can only buy it with a cosmetology license. They’re rip off products.
Yep, I read the reviews. I’m going through a licensed cosmetologist to get mine today.

Wrong. I’ve bought it off of Amazon and they were legit. You’re incorrect.
I have bought Pravana in violet, the front of my hair turned out blue! I’d appreciate any help or suggestions!!!
Not correct/ they’re sold at Sally Beauty
