Ladies and gentlemen!
That is what a legend looks like right there!🎸
Guys like him, Chuck Rainey, all master studio and session guys. Truly the backbone of the industry
Just think of all the "diva behavior" stories Lee could tell, but he never goes there. True gentleman... dang it!
Leland Sklar is one of the best of all time.
Lee seems like such a genuinely nice, humble person. Really enjoy listening to him speak..
He is a genuinely nice man. Met him once after a concert and I felt like I was talking to an old friend.
Lee's ability to sight read was very important. A valuable lesson.
Norm, you’re looking good. Glad to see you in good health!
Leland, you're the man. He's the reason why and how I learned how to play the bass. Since I saw the Live in Berlin video with Phil Collins, I told myself, wow, he plays the bass that seems simple but with class and elegance.
you are looking great Norm, and Lee is just awesome
Norm is absolutely the BEST!
No wonder everybody loves him , he has a special character that exempilfys- Can Do . got to love Lee!
that was fun, two codgers and long time friends just chatting away. Also, I love seeing that cherry red Herb Ellis jazz box.
I've been following Lee on his TH-cam channel for some time now. Great stories and one of the most down-to-earth guys in the world. Did I mention, talented?
I’m 64 and I love this interview
Leland sklar coolest guy ever.
I've PERSONALLY gotten the SINGLE DIGIT FROM LEE HIMSELF!!! MY LIFE IS NOW TRULY COMPLETE

Such a COOL BOOK.....I was one of the first 50 people that purchased the book when it first came out and Lelan was kind enough to Autographed it for US. It's a Great book for any Music buff's collection..
Thanx for posting,Norm...Lee is the best..
Mr. Sklar had been saving all those pictures - and the book itself - for a rainy day. Good timing as the wet weather has definitely returned to the West Coast with a vengeance.
brilliant!
We all Love Leland
Two GREAT legends! Thanks Norm! Love Lee!!
YOU LOOK SO GREAT NORM. GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER. I HOPE TO MEET YOU SOME DAY. I'M 62 AND NEW TO GUITAR BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL STAFF.

Nice talk with Lee & Norm.
My favorite Bassist! Him and Geddy Lee
Wow. What a wonderful shop! And Lee, of course
Both of you are such class acts. So happy to see this wonderful interview!
Everybody Loves Me is perfect ...I have never heard a bad word about Leland. The world needs more Leland Sklar's !!
Leland is a very impressive musician and I had the privilege to see him live with Toto in Austria/Tirol/Innsbruck. I‘ll never forget that! 👍🏻🙏🏻
This was beyond fab! Thank you, boys. Love from Norway -
Legend Lee!
Looking great, Norm! Your videos brighten the day for sure. :)
Best ever ending to any video.
Love this one! Geddy Lee is next!
Lee was great in Harry Potter too!! lol. Lee's a legend!! Nuff said.
WHAT A TREAT, TWO GREATS IN ONE ROOM!!! Norm you never cease to amaze me with the talent that comes through your store. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! And, Lee has given the world so many years of GREAT music. Every time I've seen you, you gave an excellent performance and I thank you because your music has had a part in so many events in my lifetime. Thank You.
Thanks guys
Great to see you both. Leland, shout out from the Mark Tanner demo w/Allison Ray! ❤😊
I was working at a studio and Peter Asher brought Lee into play bass on a film soundtrack. Coolest guy ever. As nice a person as you’ll ever meet.
Insisted I give him the finger so he could take a Polaroid. At first i refused but he insisted, saying everyone does it. I had no idea.
Friends in high places. Sweet rarified air. I would love to be a fly on the wall…holy moly. Like Lou Reed sang “It's work” but what a job, and what joy you’ve been a part of.
Hey…aren’t you the…. ?
I kid!
Cheers Lee!
great!
Damn, it is just so cool to be part of the family who loves Leland Sklar. Thanks for the content here, Lee. ❤️😎🎵🎶
The bird of paradise.
So wish I could have come out, not only to visit Lee, but to meet Norm and see this legendary store firsthand! I remember hearing about this wacky (and entirely awesome) idea for a "finger book" back around 2011 or 2012. Was beyond thrilled when it actually materialized!
Handy If your parked on a hill must rank as one of the best if not the best ........actually, introductions to a book i have ever heard which i am still smiling about right now. Its like you just warm to some people don't you. Thank you Norman for enlightening one who initialy didn't know of Leland Sklar.
Great sales job Norm, I bought one!
Our man Lee appears again! The Zelig of the Millenium!!
Great interview with a great guy!
Beautiful! My friend Fred Walecki is in Lee’s book several times. I’m sure you know him, Norm. Westwood music back in the day.
Cheers Norm and Leland, great talk and a great looking book.
Thanks.
Really enjoyed watching ❤🎸
You gotta love Leland❤
That list is hysterically impressive.
😎 Leland Sklar’s book “Everybody Loves Me” best bird book ever!
😎 indeed!
Love mine!
😄
Great Vid. Keep ‘Em coming.
Hey Lee, the moving target! I thought you liked as many 'hits' as possible.
Everybody Loves Lee!!🥰🙏❤
LOVE!
LEE!❤
How could you not love this guy, he's the best.
I’m very happy to hear Norm mention both Glen Campbells , the 2 of them rarely make the same list which is usually the case in this industry!! 😂
How much songs, hits, he was playing the bass in the studio session ? Unbelievable much, I remember me on We are all alone by Rita Coolidge, Fire and Rain by James Taylor, played with C,S,N, with Veronique Sanson, TOTO, Phil Collins collab (another day in paradise i.e., Rich girl by Hall and Oates, Running on empty by Jacksone Browne or I am woman by Helen Reddy, so congrats for this guest in your shop.
What a treat this is.❤
LEGEND !!!
Love Leland!
Great stuff Norm ,love you guys
The Band producer was John Simon.
I had the pleasure of meeting Lee after the final Toto show in Philadelphia. I have to say out of all the famous people that I have meant, the Top 4 NICEST People 1. Lee 2. Steve Vai 3. Steve Lukather and 4. Gene Simmons
Super cool book a must buy. Really interesting stories these guys make music the magic that it is 🙏
two awesome dudes!!
love lee love norm
One the greatest baseline creators of all time..cheers Lee 🤘🏼
This just gives me the fizzy fuzz
Legend! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Leland Rules
Thanks for the education!
Fantastic!!?👍👍
Yeah Leland Sklar 💜👩💜😎
Awesome!
He's neck and neck with Chuck Rainey and Carol Kaye among first-call electric bass players.
How awesome would it have been to stop at the store to check out a couple of basses and meet both Norm and Leland?
Indeed, I've often thought of hanging around there, not only to meet Norm and the crew, but any famous players who might drop in - seems to happen on a daily basis.
It’s a great book
I think i saw Jeff Beck !!
Two real Gentlemen right here!
He may be the nicest person on the face of the earth. On top of being one of the finest Bass players in history.
Is My Pal Leland Sklar in Geddy Lee's big beautiful book of Bass ?
My wife won't let me buy the book😢
Hey Norm, Do you know any of the player from Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, Skynyrd call them the Swampers, they been known to pick a song or two.
Grandfather decided not to tire the people with playing rare bass guitars, but immediately switched to erotic memories. The book is thick. There was something to remember.
Old guys rule!
