Worked for me! Thanks for the video and lifesaver! Saved me some money and loads of time.
Apparently, you need to switch the RX and TX wires - don't connect TX to TX and RX to RX. Connect TX to RX and RX to TX. This is for the Kylin 250 quadcopter.

I wondered if Data Transfer Ready (DTR) should have been connected but my MinimOSD doesn't have any silk screened pin identification and none of the guides make any mention of this. So thanks, mine now works great!

Hello, I have a zmr 250 with a cc3d and I wanted to put a minimosd protocol mavlink 2.0 of banggood. I have encountered the problem that in the indications given there is that it has to be connected to 12v from the transmitter, right? But the vtx does work at 12v but the camera is at 5v !! The vtx carries a bec that lowers the voltage to 5v, so how do I get everything connected if I can not work with it at 12v?

Hi, Thanks for the great video!
I followed your video and used 5 wires but it still doesn't read. I used 4 wires or all 6 wires it also didn't read. I tried pressing the reset button on Minimosd right after i pressed "Read from OSD" in the CT program but it still didn't work.
Any idea?
my Minimosd is V1.1, FTDI 232 is from ebay

Hi, com port ok, swapped rx-tx and tx-rx too but didn't work. Regarding FTDI driver, the very first time I plugged it into my computer, Windows automatically chose a driver. Or must I specifically download a driver? So far everytime I connect to my Minimosd, the error message "Failed to talk to bootloader" appears. Any idea? Someone told me I need to download bootloader program?

Hi,
Thanks for pointing out! I went through the archive, similarly i also found a small blob of solder between 2 pins on the FTDI chip. I removed it but it still didn't read from my osd. I have a feeling my minimosd comes to me without bootloader. But it actually works with my APM though, the data are on my screen but i just can't get it to speak to my computer via FTDI. I will go get another FTDI adaptor to try my luck.
