That was a fatal mistake from the Washington goalkeeper. The first goal Shouldn’t have had happened but the second one was well deserve. Great header from the Clemson player.

@@jgeorge2693 It's partly on the defender as he let his man get away, he didn't win the ball. Then as his GK came out he should have immediately covered but he stood there
You can see by the shadow that the keeper was facing to sun and the ball came off an awkward bounce but even then at this level he should have cleared it
contact is the absolute minimum.
As a sweeper everyone knows not to go for the volley for this very reason

Washington has a young team, they just need to be put in more high caliber games to get used to the pressure so they can execute in the being games.

Clemson Tigers were #2 seed in 2019 and #1 overall seed in 2020 after suffering tough losses in NCAA Men's Soccer Tournaments. This time Clemson wins the National Championship in 2021!! They won penalty kick shoot outs vs Pittsburgh Panthers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Oregon State Beavers.

I’m not saying I totally agree with him, but for you to take his comment the wrong way then be so aggressive about it is a bit much. It’s hard to deny that the US is on a crazy trajectory in terms of the caliber of players (the greatest player before this generation was a flop in Europe) and it will only continue if the sport grows more. Imagine if Europe and South America had one national team each, that’s the potential the US has.
