- One of the most common questions I am asked - "How much do you get paid? I've heard it's badly paid!?"
I'm spilling the tea on Vet Nurse Wages and how to get the best possibly pay rate and make Vet Nursing work FOR YOU!
Including tips and advice on how I made it work for me :)

I've had Vet clinic's say to me that 'We pay above award' and say the rate is $23 - $25 (Before qualified / 20 yr old) Once you gain experience + Getting that qualification + Knowing your worth, then usually its around $27 - $29. PLUS you will be on a probation period and the clinic will choose how much of a pay rise you will get once that is over. It can be $1 - $3. All depends. This also from clinics in NSW, Aus. Also I agree with Tess, Its best to work on a privately owned GP clinic.
Love this! I am just now beginning my training for Veterinarian Technician associates.
Thanks so much Tess , this is sooo helpful , I really enjoy your videos , good luck in your new journey , you are very smart , Im sure you will succeed ! Im an RVT and I do the same thing now , I left the clinic that I used to work and I am trying to explore different things in the vet field ...

Hey I’m wanting to know if it would be hard to get a job as a vet nurse if you are heavily tattooed (eg two visible sleeves) do you have any insights on that? Is there much discrimination from clinics in that regard?
I guess I kind of expect some places to not be interested like anywhere but I’d hope it wouldn’t be too much of a deterrent for a potential employer.
Thank you!
Hey, I really want to be a vet nurse but I'm worried about the pay. I'll be fine while I'm in ky twenties and even early thirties but I'm worried about the pay if i have a family to look after. What would to recommend?
Work ur way up towards practice manager it’s doable just have to work ur way up tbh
What do you think about nurses opening their own vet clinics?
I LOVE THAT!
