When falling (especially with a lot of velocity) I think you should slide a bit when grabbing a wall. It feels a bit janky when it just stops instantly.
YEs!!!! I loved the first demo, this game has such wonderful mechanics that make playing extremely enjoyable, even when trying to do hard jumps over and over. Super excited to play this!
Thanks youtube, I played the demo when it first popped up, went just about everywhere I could in there, so nice reminder. Commenting to boost the video, great work on this.
Ended up playing the demo. It was so incredibly fun! The movement was smooth like butter. The only problem I just always have with these games is that it's really difficult for me to estimate if a drop is too long that it kills me. I hope the end product will have something to help with that, but I'm not exactly sure what it would be. Maybe some gear that sends a laser to whatever you're looking at and gives you the distance of the thing pointed at in numbers?
@@clikftp Yeah it does but that's only after you're already falling. It might just be a me problem but I have this problem with all games with platforming like this. Don't get me wrong, the game works really good as it is. It would just be cool to see a feature that removes that one annoyance in a game like this, since it's still under development
I love the concept of a laser measuring distance, allows for slower moving people to engage with it while leaving room for those who dont want to use that tool and just drop like crazy people.
i hope you cook up some good lore for this because the atmosphere invokes so much curiosity in me, I would definitely want to explore as much as I could trying to learn about it, in the same way as a blind rain world playthrough or something. Gonna play the demo later
This is awesome! Just played through it all, was exploring as far as I could in every direction I could think of, and I just love the environment. Can't wait to buy the final product and see where this story goes. I do have one (minor) bug report though. In the main wall room, if I go as far as I can up and left, past the 'garden' of red blinkyweed and radar dishes where the explorer presumably fell from, past that one antenna and around the other side of the wall to high above the rebar where the ghost is, the uppermost pipe has some weird collision, and I've fallen through it all 3 times I tried to run around on it.
as someone who played the previous demo, this one had a really eerie effect on me. some things were familiar, but they were either displaced or connected by new structures. it was like trying to remember a half forgotten dream. the gameplay is just as stellar, and the atmosphere has improved even more (though i wasn't sure if that were even possible). you also did a fantastic job of incorporating the tutorial into the game world. i'm still patiently waiting for the full release! as a side note: did you decide to remove the big text that introduces each level) i really liked it.
I will wait for the full release. I want to be fully immersed once I start playing. Can't wait, I'm so excited! This is my most anticipated game this year :D
Just played the demo, such a neat concept! I love how unrestricted the movement and exploration is, you can go almost anywhere. And ancient superstructures really scratch some niche itches. Love it
Guys I just found some crazy lore in demo and to get there you need the picks to get up there but when you first get to the place “the wall” you can go left but you need picks to get to the place so If you come back and follow the path around the pipes and look up you should see ledges holding up on the face of the wall to your left. It hard to put into words but I hope someone understands
I usually don't play demos, but this looks great. I love that the old school, retro PS1 graphics are making a comeback. I love that aesthetic so much. Wishlisted!
At first I was like "I seriously hope this game credits Kill the KOTH" and then I saw the channel name. So excited for this, I still remember the dread and awe I felt playing your first iteration years ago.
you should 100% make it so if you're falling really fast there's a slide that happens when hooking onto a wall, doesn't have to be an insane slide but something to keep you on edge and not fall asleep

I agree, it will add a bit of tension
idk what the playstyle for this game is but that may mess up certain precise areas if they add it
10000% agree. A little ~rocky crumbling-like noise with it too
certified lorn classic

if blame! were a video game this would be pretty close
Try Naissancee, it's basically a blame!-like.
Signalis artstyle is very similar to what Tsutomu Nihei usually draws so it looks very similar to blame too.
