After watching the whole series it’s amazing how far Amy socially developed. Sheldon behaviour was just his nature but Amy’s was a mixture of having an overbearing mother who isolated and controlled her as well as not fitting in at school for being a nerd. By the end of the series she was still quirky and smart but she was way less socially awkward

I love watching Jimmy G and Laurie Metcalfe together, they have great chemistry, her whole speech to "Sheldon" he's right there with her and their bit at the end is as smooth as silk.
