    I am doing this same exact trip! I already did pine creek last year we put in at the outfitter in Ansonia, camped in Blackwell, and took out south of slate run. We are planning our Allagash trip this summer.

    Chef Corso’s recipes are easy to make and use common ingredients. I was nervous dehydrating my own eggs, but they turned out pretty good. All in all, I have a new strategy for kayak camping and backpacking meals.

    I love how you say ‘if you see value in this video…’ instead of ‘smash that like button, because, indeed your videos are really valueable! Keep up the great work Mike!

    Good menu items. The breakfast burritos are even better chimi style fried or grilled on the fire

    West rim trail is a good one. A little short, but 31 miles makes a nice easy 2 nighter! My plan was bike the trail and then kayak the river back.. But the guys I went with were not up to kayaking back! Next time for me!!!

      Hike the trail.. Not bike. Dang typo

      @@dirtbagoutside One of the guys I went with did that one year. He canoed to the campsite, setup camp, rode his bike to the put in, then took his car to take out.

    Already got hooked on the Corso channel and recipes for the future but the biggest thing I learned here is to save my mini bottles from this weekends hike for future condiment storage! Do a follow up if ya can on how the meals turned out.

      Will do, working on my Pine Creek trip now. A bit of a spoiler, loved all of my meals including the eggs. The turkey stuffing bowl was the best.

    These look like some great ideas. I have thought about doing my own but so far being lazy with pre-packaged meals. Thanks for the video!!

      I knew I would have more time to prep at camp and would not be exhausted after climbing high peaks. Sometimes lazy is good!

    You laid this out nice Mike! 👌 I dig that shirt!! How did the eggs turn out?

    • @OutsideChronicles
      @OutsideChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eggs were really good. I don’t think I could eat them as only scrambled eggs (small pieces), but mixed in a burrito or in a bowl with hash browns, they are perfect.

      They were great for us, it was 3.6 when we started. It is at 2.55 today and going down. The guy I go with says it is best above 2 especially if you have a canoe.

    Why would you dehydrate the eggs?

    • @OutsideChronicles
      @OutsideChronicles  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why not? I did not want to bring whole eggs, they were great in a burrito.
