I think the Shark does that. I thought the same thing, but I think the perception that iRobot had was to minimize the dust when disposing of the dust, hence a sealed bag like OG vacuums. Otherwise it may be redundant. At the very least it's paper, and would only need a few bags a year depending on how fucked my floors are haha
Good idea. Bit they won't do that. That's how they make their money after you purchase this cleaner. You have to keep coming back to order other bits and pieces, such as bags etc..
I couldn't afford a Dyson when they first came out. They were ridiculously expensive. But over time the price came down to a reasonable range and I bought one. Best vacuum cleaner I ever used. I had those annoying canister ones with the bags that you drag around on the floor, and the uprights with bags, they clogged up all the time. But not the Dyson. But over time the Dyson lost its suction. I cleaned it out and the hoses but it didn't help. So I went out and got another. Compared to the first it was crap. The build quality is cheap. The parts are flimsy. It's hard to turn. And it clogged up in less than a year. I haven't bothered to take it apart and unclog it. I went out and bought a cheap knock off from Hoover or some other brand. It works just as well, its cheap, and if it lasts half as long it will be a better investment than the Dyson. I guess Dyson, like so many other brands, Hoover, Singer, etc just stopped caring about quality once they made it big. All the other brands sold their names and are now made in Malaysia and other third world countries as cheaply as possible. Dyson probably sold their name too.
@@HotspotsSoutheastmost dysons and other bagless vacuums have two washable filters that you have to take out. One of them is in the cyclone and the other is usually where the motor is. It kills me how many vacuums I've fixed just by washing the filters
The sad thing with the i7 and s9 (+ denotes the bin, you can get them without as well) they don't like going too close to their base stations, so dust bunnies, dirt, etc will collect around that. You can of course set them on a schedule, I have mine to clean my house every day at 8:30am. Furnace filters now stay A LOT cleaner with this going around every day. The cold air returns no longer suck up that much fur and dust. They really are a good piece of tech to have. The self emptying option isn't NEEDED but it's a great option, withnout it, you simply just manually dump the dust bin on the vacuum. If you have the self emptying bin option, the vacuum will go and dump itself when it's bin is full, and the tower will let you know when the bag is also full, and time for a change. Depending on how large your home is, one bag can last over 3 months. If you get it to clean every day, the amount of stuff it finds is still quite amusing, but those bags do hold a good amount. If you get both the i7 or the s9, and the Braava m6 you can set it up to allow the Roomba to clean, then once its done, will tell the Braava to go out and do its job. I think I will get an m6 next. The i7+ is a good vacuum, overall the same as the s9, just round not D shape. They are expensive, however I see hem paying for themselves by how clean hey actually keep your floors. Any robot vacuum is a good investment, unless you vacuum everyday, then it doesn't matter.
I own this product, purchased it for myself during Christmas of last year, and it was literally worth every penny. The vacuum power on the S9 is so impressive, and the vacuum tower is amazing as well.
I like the Roborock S5 Max because of the LiDAR sensor which allows you to run the vacuum without any light. It’s much more accurate than any current camera system and easily adaptable to any obstacles.
Got i7+ and braava Jet, both great equipment. But some tips. Once u map ur entire house and for some reason u move their bases to another place on ur house, I will tell u that is better to delete all mappings that they have done and reset everything, otherwise most times they will lost themselves, or they don’t follow all orders you command them. Plus USE THEM, specially braava jet, otherwise it will get air into their tubes, and you will likely ask the braava to do a wet clean, and instead it will just do a dry wipe because of all the air into the tubes. Hope that will give some help to all new and common users of this robots. Have a nice day folks.
I've got a sponge mop and a 5 gallon bucket half full of water with a cup of bleach. Probably not the best thing, but whatever. Also have a Roomba E6, excellent with short carpet, adequate for everything else.

I love my s9+, but I did find one small issue with it. When it docks, the corner brush tends to get "folded up". If you don't flatten it out, it will be misshaped for the next time it runs. It will still work, but not as well as if it is flat. Only takes a few seconds to flatten the corner brush back out and I don't think it is a "must do right away" thing, just when you think about it so it is ready for the next run.

It would be at least be less tiring if u get it to clean the whole floor plan (u could sleep while it does the job, and wake up to a cleaner house). Admittedly, I do not feel the self-emptying bin is useful - u will have to empty it at some point anyway.
Do I want that Roomba s9+ ? Not at that price I don't! Hmm, maybe once its price reduces, which I doubt. But that was a good presentation with your usual humour and I enjoyed watching. Thanks Lew and have a super weekend.
Roomba is awesome. Need to let it learn the house map and it works with Alexa too. Really good product. The mop is good maybe for very small spaces. It tends to leave trails and the floor dries itself before braava jet has the chance to dry it after mopping. Personally I couldn’t find a good use for it.

I've had three Roombas during the last 20 years but then the price escalated for some reason, so I bought a chinese iLife Beetle for $200 and it has served us well for the last two years.
Me: mom get me some coffee
Mom: okay honey, where is the coffee machine blender '^'
Mom: aha! See it!
Mom: *accidentaly gets robot vacuum cleaner charging port*
Me:
From the thumbnail I it was a fancy toilet seat 😂😂😂😂
Vacuum Empties itself
Everyone : Wow!
black holes: Am I a joke to you?
If the robot had a brain it would probably be thinking thats the smallest house ever
Me: Roomba , bring me a beer !
Roomba s9k: Bring it yourself you lazy piece of s*it
My Wallet: OOF
I remember the American dad one when it randomly came In the room and everyone stopped talking then it scanned the room and left 😂😂😂😂😂
Idk why the Roomba doesnt have two brushes (one on each side) like the Ecovacs. Makes cleaning just more simple and effective (the Roomba is actively pushing debris of the table).
*What a time to be alive!*
I emptied myself while watching this video of a robot emptying itself. Emptying inception in many ways.
These things would sell like hotcakes if they weren't $1000+
That is very cool. Now I can go to work and come home to clean floors.
Cause teens are hopeless sometimes..lol
Shark has one. It doesn't use bags, which would be an additional expense. I've had it for a while. The mapping has yet to work for me. That's the chief complaint. I have the roomba mop. It's awesome.
