I met Violent Jay about a year ago shopping at a store. I used to live in his area and would see him around from time to time. But I walked up to him at the store and said hello, I didn’t want to draw attention to him as he was just trying to get some groceries. But when I had mentioned I was a fan of some of his work and mentioned a few things they’d done, he sat there and talked to me for like 20 minutes about all kinds of sh*t, shared some stories about some of his musical career and also back when they were in WCW & the WWF. I knew of their music growing up outside Detroit but I was a huge wrestling fan as a kid. So we talked and he was the nicest guy. Seriously just down to earth and totally cool. That is how you always hope a celeb will be when you meet them but 9 times out of 10 they are not.
Dude i live in MI too and those guys are so very chill. I saw Violent J when he was up north with his family one time, of course without makeup. I recognized his voice instantly but just ignored him like he was any other stranger.
One of my good friends was at Rock Of Ages in Garden City and he noticed J just looking through the CDs and he said What's Up to J, and he said J was one of the funniest and humble guys he ever met. They had a conversation about Mariah Carey, who Rock of Ages had a standup cutout up at the time, and J said to my friend "Who in their right mind would wanna f*ck THAT, she's been passed around more than an old collection plate." That made my day when he told me that story.
That album came out when I was in middle school and back in the day I lived in a very rural area leading to a 1 hour bus ride to school. Me and my group of friends sat in the middle and we would blast that album from my Walkman with my cpu speakers played into it. That along with the Joker Cards. My busdriver was so cool she never said anything to us about it and just let us do our thing. Playing it so loud that KBull93's late 90's-early 2000's country couldn't be heard on the bus speakers (althought thats among my favorite years of country music thats came out) Can still recite Wizard of the Hood basically word for word. ICP has outlasted every single band I can think of. No new members, no state fair tours, no breakups. Honestly a blueprint for what any indie artist should be. And, even as a Juggalo, I admit their musical talent is second to their showmanship. Thankfully, their showmanship is 10000x better than the most talented musicians.
they're not a band. sure they seem successful when you compare them to an unrelated genre but when you compare them to hip hop artists their success is middling at best.
Tech in no way denied their similarities. He said they didn’t pave the way for him and that the juggalos didn’t fuck with him during their tour, until he started spitting. Then they turned around and paid attention. Not that no one fucked with him, period. He blew up in the 90’s way before he toured with ICP in ‘03. He did that shit all on his own. I’m a fan of both, but Tech was in the right here to claim his art is his.
Bro that was prolly ems clever way of trying to ask icp and be out of the box with it and violent j just violated him instead of respecting the hustle..i respect icp but that was some lame shit
Twiztid saying Juggalos weren't on a list, then talking about the army rejecting you if you have a Hatchetman tattoo or CPS taking away kids etc. I know for a fact that they were added to the gang list and documentation backs it up, plus there were news reports about it, too
Ganksta NIP, Esham, and Geto Boys are the main pioneers of Horrorcore. Geto Boys were probably the first, although I wouldn't exactly consider them a straight up Horrorcore group. They just had a lot of songs that fit the criteria back in the 80s. Necro is definitely an OG in the genre too, though. He always has the best beats, and he's been doing it since the early 90s.
You forgot to add the part where later on Monoxide from Twiztid admits on livestream that they shoulda went to the march...he even apologizes. Then someone tells Shaggy on his show and he laughed at it.
I have always been a fan of ICP. Born in 87, and sometime shortly after the Ringmaster album, my friend showed me these guys. Toybox came out, and I really enjoyed it. Never got into wearing facepaint, but I loved the music. I think the culture gets a bad stereotype. I am a motivated owner of a construction business, and do quite well in life. Ouija Macc absolutely drew me back into listening to horror-core.... I'm a metal head by default. Dez Faffara from Coal Chamber and Devil Driver is quite possibly my favorite writer in the industry...But ICP and Ouija, as well as several others, are always somewhere in the playlist. Much love from Maine
Stitches dealt with people throwing stuff at him onstage at the gathering perfectly. He was just like “ayo if someone hits me I’m jumping in the crowd and swinging on that mf” and that was that. And if stitches can deal with it everyone should be able to
I grew up on ICP, I loved their music growing up and almost got to see them in Reno one time because they were actually performing while I was there but I was still a young teen and with family so I couldn't just leave them to go see a concert that I had no money for lmao. Anyway, while I still enjoy their music to this day, I am in no way, shape or form, a Juggalo because all these clowns trying to portrays themselves as Juggalos are just tweaked out idiots who want an excuse to be drunk and be violent. The real fans are still there but it's mostly just a shit show for crazy tweakers who want to get violent. I have talked to many people who call themselves Juggalos but they aren't actually even into the music, they only do it because they want an excuse for being crazy. I don't hate the group though because this is in no way their fault, they can't control how these people act, they have even said it themselves that they don't condone the crazy shit that some people do who will say that they did it for them. ICP created the term Juggalo to create a "family" for their fan base and it became far more than that because people were using it for heinous shit that ICP wasn't down with. They're highly educated guys and a lot of their beef with others has been settled years ago, before many people who are trying to make the beef continue even heard of the group. I wish them the best though, Shaggy and J are great guys - I've watched several of their interviews and they're genuinely far more intelligent than people give them credit simply because they don't speak like they're working in a formal business setting.
I've seen Tech N9ne many times at concerts. Incredible live performer. N I don't think he gets enough credit for being one of the most legendary figures the underground scene has ever had. He influenced a lot of different artists from a lot of different genres. The man is the GOAT
Really? That's pathetic to be invited to a gathering, only to have your fan base, disrespect your guest. I like IcP, Methodman ,and still wanna sleep with Sharon Osbourne.
Slacker was the first song I heard I knew tech before I knew icp. In my 30's I still rock tech not so much icp. The marketing is different. Icp was fun and goofy as a kid but lyrical value tech has it in the bag by far for reaching a wider range.
Sharon Osbourne calling ICP has beens was hilarious. Sure her HUSBAND was successful....but man....look at them now...following quite possibly just as big as her HUSBANDS. I hate how she calls herself feared and powerful lol.
She is "feared". You know how many people she's fucked. Alot. She's a ruthless buisness women. She's crushed alot of people to get Ozzy to the top, and I'm not saying this to hype her up and defend her. It's just reality. Sharon shows no mercy.
I think ICP is great. I grew up poor in Northern Ohio, just like they did in Michigan. My late son brought their first cd home and I was hooked. I listen and remember my son. Peace!
I grew up an icp fan. I still think the great milenko is a hell of an album, one of my all timers. As far as the rest of their work... ehhhh. But props to them for everything they have accomplished. They have built a hell of a following.
I saw them at a show in Denver in 95 I think. It was a small enough show that afterwards we shared a couple of pictures of beer. Dead ass. I always loved juggalos because of that of that night. Good times
I hate that the fam hated on RiFF RaFF. The guy is a genuinely good dude and he tries to be professional. He's talented. He's the last guy i expected Juggalos to trash on. But it just aint the same anymore
Whoop whoop!!!!! Hip hop baby born in 1986 raised Juggalo. My brother went to school with Violent J and Shaggy. Violent J would hang around the Royal Oak Township and hang with all the homies near 8mile and Ferndale aka The Charter Township of Royal Oak, Michigan. He grew up with all the gang banging and thug mentality and loving the ghetto thug life. Met Violent J at the Hallowicked after-party at Club Envy in Downtown Detroit back in 2005, Violent J is a awesome humble dude. Met Shaggy 2Dope back in 2006 at Hot Hits Records when he was doing his solo album Fuck the Fuck Off, he is a awesome and humble chill dude as well. Even met the Rude Boy. Humble and chill brothas. I been to the Hallowicked shows back in 2005 and 2006, that was when Twiztid, Blaze ya Dead Homie, Anybody Killa, Axe Murder Boyz, Boondox were on Psychopathic Records at that time and the Juggalo Family tree was extended. I met some awesomely awesome phenomenal chill people of the Juggalo World. Even met Project Born at Hallowicked after-party at the Majestic Theatre and The JCW Wrestlers. I even got humbled to meet Detroit Rapper Defekt. Humble legends. I met The ROC and DJ Shank at the Motor City Casino in Detroit Michigan. Humble, awesome and phenomenal chill dudes. When I was younger, I would sneak in my brother's room and I would put his ICP cassette tapes in his boombox and I would listen to Dog Beats , Carnival of Carnage, and Beverly Kills 50187, and I was hooked. I was down with the Clown and even at almost 38 years old, I am still down with the Clown for lizzife. The ICP autobiography book Behind the Paint is a Dope ass book also Big Money Hustlas and Big Money Rustlas. Not only I got ICP's music, I got Twiztid, Blaze, Rydaz etc. Still got 🤡❤️💯 til I am dead in the ground. Faygo Pop used to be cheap at a buck ten, now due to inflation rate, Faygo Pop is now $2.00 and the 24oz is $1.59. ICP loves Faygo. And I support my favorite local beverage. ICP are Detroit Rap legends and also Worldwide phenoms of the Hip hop movement. Horrorcore Rap aka The Wicked Shit is still the King. Horrorcore Rap started in New York and it evolved in Detroit with Acid Rap with Esham. The Flatlinerz and Gravediggaz started Horrorcore Rap but it has evolved everywhere and it is still King of all Hip hop genres. Horrorcore wins. Fatality!!!!! U can put that on my Hatchetman chain. Enough said. Whoop whoop and mad Juggalo Family 🤡❤️. Juggalo Family for lizzife!!!!!!
I did 2 instores with ICP, Esham and Twizted in the early 2000's at a record store in the hood. There was a car wash across the street called M&M car wash. One of the idiot Juggalos decided it would be a good idea to run across the street and kick the sign down. The kid that did it almost life his life that day, luckily for that kid I was friends with the owners of that carwash. ICP, Esham and Twizted were all super cool to us employees.
Why was Violent J so upset about that moron hooking up with JumpSteady's daughter if she was grown? I can see that reaction if it wasn't the case. AMB sucked anyway.
He said the dude knocked her up then tried to deny it. Plus, the dude spun some sad stories about his girl and two kids elsewhere and how he wanted to move them to Detroit. Sounds like a dishonest slimeball to me and personally, I wouldn't fuck my mentor's niece if I was in his position.
I've never seen him before until this video lol he really does look like a weasel he would have been much bigger in this day and age with how much he stirs shit up between artists kinda like DJ Vlad
Ok so in middle school this kid got me into them. They weren’t my typical style but I liked how they just were who they were and stuck with that. They remind me a little bit of GWAR in that sense, they are still one of my favorite bands of all time, I’ve been going to see them since I was 11, and went to their GWAR B Q in Virginia and met the original drummer and other band members. I signed up as a volunteer and they let me do a press tent, I like weird sub sub sub cultures like this lol the people are so interesting and a level of accepting and safe I don’t experience outside of those groups. Same with Jesco White the dancing outlaw, more obscure but been documented since the 90s, so good to me
This video was really well done. You touched on a lot of the important parts of ICP's career. I loved ICP growing up! Twiztid, BlazeYaDeadHomie, all of em. It really sucked when Twiztid and ICP fell out. They were like a tag team. That's the one beef that ICP had that I hated. They always made music about family and sticking together and then they split like a lot of bands do over time. Anyway, this was a good video to watch and reminisce about growing up listening to Psychopathic Records.
I love ICP and Twiztid but Twiztid is dead wrong about the Juggalos being taken off the FBI gang list and in 7 seven stars as if 2023 Juggalos are labeled as a major gang.

I used to live across the street from Shaggy hes got a house on a lake in Clarkston, MI huge, nice property and J lives near Milford near some older Red Wings players in one of my uncles neighborhood and his place is even nicer. They did good for themselves regardless of what people say about them.
I think Violent J is cool AF but he needs to calm down that is bad for your health to get that upset. Violent J used to have a Mean Moonsault.
Still does actually!!!
I never liked ICP but that 'slim anus' song is pretty goddamn funny I must admit.
That's an old school banger from them I agree.
I think the big issue rappers have on ICP is that they can't admit 2 clowns are dunkin and honkin on them.
Why do you sound like "Number 15: Burger King foot letuce"
You nailed it. Haha. Number 15 is a running joke in my household.
Regardless of the image they portray, or what anyone thinks of them, these dude are extremely intelligent. They approached every beef with smarts and tact. They never took any big L's, and they had a TON of massive hit records. Legends
Magnets...how the f**k do they work?
Ehhhh Eminem handed ICP a pretty big L Slim anus may honestly go down as one of the worst disses of all time and nuttin but a bitch thang was better but still pretty bad
Agreed. They seem like stand up dudes who always hold their ground, are transparent, and take accountability when they're supposed to.
F****** magnets
lmao did u watch the video???? when he was yellin at ozzys wife and callin her a b?? lmao fk these chomos
RiffRaff 🔥🔥🔥, very disappointed at both Jay and Shaggy for not coming out on stage for Riff Raff.
#Metallica that's the all time devoted band 🤘
they're not a band. sure they seem successful when you compare them to an unrelated genre but when you compare them to hip hop artists their success is middling at best.
@Skittlespillygog they are a movement not a band. An entertainment culture who has their own festival
I know for a fact that they were added to the gang list and documentation backs it up, plus there were news reports about it, too
Do Necro next, he is the OG of horrorcore
Yah Necro and Non-phixion made wayyyy better music than ICP
Whaaaa? Necro goes waaay back, like my hair-line
Get your facts straight esham is the godfather of horrorcore
@@Aria-o3z facts
Why did the news reporter say it like that ?! ☠️
Because it's Bill O'Reilly. I was going to call him a neanderthal, but I don't have anything against neanderthals
Had no idea about the Sharon Osborn beef
You forgot to add the part where later on Monoxide from Twiztid admits on livestream that they shoulda went to the march...he even apologizes. Then someone tells Shaggy on his show and he laughed at it.
Source trust me bro☠️☠️provide ur source u meat rider

nah. esham was before proof.

They busted their ass to get where they are at, Breakfast Club did a good interview with them back in 2018 I believe....
There's a Dr Phil's episode where this guy does "horror rap" in Dr Phil said that he would have been a long time fan of ICP😂😂😂😂
How would u not gave Eminem on the thumbnail u goof
Facts this guy goofy. Eminem would be the first person u think of on this topic and he not even on the thumbnail.
You forgot to mention three 6 as horrorcore
Three six mafia, I'm a huge fan along with Tech n9ne
Did this dude just say Tyler The Creator is horrorcore? What?
I mean bastard and goblin could be considered horrorcore but i see what you mean
He was way back
Bro the Sharon Osborn speech is WILD.
2 things about kiss, Paul is the frontman not Gene, and they peaked in the 70’s (80’s was the no makeup era)
Oh man, I haven't heard about DevilDriver in a long time. That was good stuff
Funny that coal chamber fans were never on a FBI watch list
Stitches dealt with people throwing stuff at him onstage at the gathering perfectly. He was just like “ayo if someone hits me I’m jumping in the crowd and swinging on that mf” and that was that. And if stitches can deal with it everyone should be able to
Cause stitches stupid as HELL
But he was big and intimidating looking and Tila is the exact opposite lol
@@Alexandria87 fair I don’t know if her doing that’d work good point
I think he ended up getting jumped a few times though.
@@matthiasthulman4058 pffft ahahaha ofc he did when is he not getting jumped 😂
That flower package they sent with that note. I am 100% Sharon burst out laughing and found some actual respect for ICP after that. Knowing her humor.
HAHAHA The Ariana Grande bit lmfao
That caught me so off guard it was hilarious
Twiztid left 2012/2013 and started MNE in 2014. The Washington March didn't happen until 2017 so how did that influence them leaving?
When Shaggy 2 Dope says someone looks weird in real life, i can probably trust his judgement. 🤣
I met some of their crew before. Super cool dudes. They even have an animal shelter where they rescue dogs and cats. Big fan here.
This makes me sooo happy youre not talking shit. I'm down with the clown!
ICP’s old stuff was actually dope I love great Milenko riddlebox ringmaster jeckle bros
I saw them live and it was actually a really fun show
the sharon osbourne shit is so funny
They proved that whole wrong 🤲🏿🤲🏿🙌🏿🔝
I've seen Tech N9ne many times at concerts. Incredible live performer. N I don't think he gets enough credit for being one of the most legendary figures the underground scene has ever had. He influenced a lot of different artists from a lot of different genres. The man is the GOAT
Juggalos also threw a bottle at Method Man at a gathering once and cut his face from it
Really? That's pathetic to be invited to a gathering, only to have your fan base, disrespect your guest. I like IcP, Methodman ,and still wanna sleep with Sharon Osbourne.
@@magvs_mæstro216at least it wasn't filled with piss that time

"fking magnets... How do they work?!"
You forgot KoRn & Marz. It's been over 20 years & I'm still searching for those interviews that KoRn did where they diss ICP.
Your voice sounds like chills if he had a deeper voice 😂
18:20 Tech was HUGE in Kansas City in the 90's.
Hell, her dad was a mafia man.
Peace!
Im not a juggalo, most the time when people talk about ICP its usually negative, i like how this is positive towards them.
I grew up an icp fan. I still think the great milenko is a hell of an album, one of my all timers. As far as the rest of their work... ehhhh. But props to them for everything they have accomplished. They have built a hell of a following.
Lmfao “there was a fat one… & a skinny one” 😂😂😂
I saw them at a show in Denver in 95 I think. It was a small enough show that afterwards we shared a couple of pictures of beer. Dead ass. I always loved juggalos because of that of that night. Good times
That music video with Steve-o was crazy
I hate that the fam hated on RiFF RaFF.
The guy is a genuinely good dude and he tries to be professional.
He's talented. He's the last guy i expected Juggalos to trash on.
But it just aint the same anymore
Juggalo chicks are the most fun. I mean. not when they are talking.....or clothed, but otherwise. ICP are legends.
Hatchet mans be in the chomo unit on the yard for real i seen em

The KISS one was kinda a reach tho. It’s like saying ICP stole KISS’s face paint
Psycho CIrcus it's literally right there pull your head out of your ass lmfao
Wait a minute! They sound quite lucid, not like 'insane clowns' at all! Was their mental health assessed by a competent professional? I doubt it.
I love me some ICP been listening to them since 99.
He was already had a woman and a kid by her, so having an affair with your boss's niece would have emotions riled up.
So funny that DJ Lethal running his mouth like that but when Eminem dissed him, he didn’t say shit
Same with Jesco White the dancing outlaw, more obscure but been documented since the 90s, so good to me
The best time to be a juggalo was 1997 to 2007.
FACTS dude!
Who TF is ICP to tell someone they looks Odd ICP is the Odd Personified
edgy shit to appeal to their edgy fans
Same reason pot calls kettle black.... because they can this America free country last I checked
"The Gathering appropriate for all ages" 😂
So stoked Famous Criminals is a Juggalo!
Who is the dude in the middle of the photo at 21:03 ?
this is mostly just the beefs of violent j, pretty much everyone whose not around has no sort of grudge with shaggy
I love ICP and Twiztid but Twiztid is dead wrong about the Juggalos being taken off the FBI gang list and in 7 seven stars as if 2023 Juggalos are labeled as a major gang.
I think we would all agree that Eminem at the Gathering 2024 would be AWESOME.
He would be bullied off stage by some of the family
That’ll never happen
"There's no gangland episode about them" 🤣
Coal chamber was the shit boy+
Said no one ever
@Scarybugjuice if your kid which you more then likely are. You know nothing about metal from late 90's early 2000s and the wave it had .
