No pus or goo,because no infection in the skin of this particular toe If there was infection,the skin would be red,and swollen I think the cottonwool is to help the skin to heal,and prevent the nail growing into it again This would cure the patients 'ingrown' toenail, just as the nail straighteners you can by at pharmacys/online apparently do
No cotton would not prevent the ingrown from coming back. The cotton is to make sure he got all the ingrown out. For if there was still some nail in the hole it will stick to the cotton and make it non.
I have a few questions? Do you have to repeat the procedure every few months? Your not removing the graduated tissue leaving distorted nail? Why not use a acid and kill the nail root to prevent a repeat. I have had multiple procedures done on my big toes and had to get the removed due to a long term issue.
If the ingrown toenail is severe, it may take several more visits After the pedicure, there will also be some ingrown nail correction work to be done, just not filmed
@@XueYiDao thank you for your response. I have had my big toe nail permanently removed because of nerve pain. Before that I had ~4 to 6 procedures to remove ingrown toe nails that we bad enough to warrant antibiotics. Twice the nails roots or 1 side had grown a complete circle. They where horrible.

There is no anesthesia because he's not cutting live tissue that would feel pain.
The pain is the ingrown nail. Once removed the pain goes away.
No anesthesia here… exceptionally sharp blades don’t hurt- that’s why you can cut your hand, and look down and say ‘where’s that blood coming from?’

To prevent abnormal scar tissue formation that will lead to worsening ingrown.
They do the same right after childbirth too. Stuffing the hole with cotton stops all the extra goo from oozing out.
