Incredibly helpful and tactfully informative. I am looking for a new pair of truly wireless earbuds since my Bose SoundFree Sport earbuds died on me after 2 lovely years, and this video was very helpful. Thank you very much.😁😊👍👌🙌
Yes. They have an auto-off feature which kicks in after ~15 minutes of not wearing them (placing back in your ears wakes them, or tap the touch pad). You can also turn them off manually in the app
Can anybody tell me 4's are LOUDER than the 3's. Volume in the 3's doesn't do it for me and I'm suffering paralysis between the 4's, Momentums and the B&WPI7's......
Your contribution is very valuable. Considering the sound quality, if you bought the old ones, it makes no sense to buy the new ones. Muy valioso tu aporte. Teniendo en cuenta la calidad de sonido, Si compraste los anteriores no tiene sentido adquirir los nuevos
There’s always a chance! I’ll be honest though, I have a pretty busy schedule and I already covered them each in-depth 😬 I’d retread a lot of familiar ground in a comparison video. Never say never though! So for now I’m happy to test, compare and answer any questions you have - just let me know! 👌🏼
So by default, Jabra has a more dynamic sound: there's an emphasis on the bass and treble (like a V-shaped EQ), whereas Sony has a much more balanced sound. Sony's sound has greater clarity and soundstage though - it just seems a bit more refined. A lot of this is subjective though and what each person personally likes. I think Sony has a more accurate and refined sound though
That's before. So you can take a little out of the bass to try and balance it more, but it doesn't suddenly create as clean bass as you get with Sony. I still don't think the clarity is there in the midrange either - but you have to really listen to notice these differences. So I reckon other factors should come into the purchase decision
These earbuds are fantastic. Bought a pair of these last week. Nice to have a pair of earbuds I can take with me when I don't want to take their bigger brother headphones which I also have.
@@adamyzfr7009 no different to their over ear brothers, which is obviously a good thing. Some people might tell you otherwise, and to each their own I get it, but I personally disagree. One thing Speed Demon Adz, is when you get them, make sure you get a good seal in your ears, because it obviously helps. And also you may need to tweak them slightly in the app for your taste. One thing I found personally is even though it drains the battery, was to enable DSEE Extreme in the settings, as far as the bass goes. And also to enable LDAC on your device if you cam. If not though, it’s not a big deal
@@bl4ckangel89 Hey! Are you statisfied with the xm4? I really cannot decide if I should purchase the xm3 or xm4. I could get the xm3 for 100Euros since the xm4 does cost about 220 Euros. But I am ready to pay a bit more for a better noise cancelling and audio quality on top as well
Are they good for cycling? I just bought the new Jaybird Vista 2 and the wind noise when going 30km/h is louder than the music which is such a disappointment
I tried these out earlier today cycling and I think they're not bad. So for me, they passively block out a lot of the wind noise, so turning on ANC (even with automatic wind noise reduction) only adds a tiny bit to it. You might as well just use them with ANC off. It takes ~5 seconds to adjust and then gets a tiny bit quieter. With cycling you're basically putting the earbuds in the most difficult situation (with wind rushing right past the mics), so I think you're best off with a pair of earbuds that fit really well and completely seal the ear (only you know which earbuds fit perfectly). Make sure to stay safe and aware of your surroundings though!
Again, it's really down to your music preference: Sony has more of a warmer, bassy tone. Whereas Sennheiser handles the high end better. I might be crazy but...with LDAC, i'm gonna give it to Sony though 😬
I own the XM3's and I can use either the left or right bud on its own and are not restricted to using the right bud if you just want to wear one. Sony have taken this away, or this information is wrong, I'm leaning towards option 2.
@@insidetechltd that's what I would have thought, forgive me if I'm mistaken but I thought the video said that only the right bud can be used on its own hence my comment.
I'm sorry, I forgot to say: since this video was made there has been an update so you can now do this. You can't do this if you set up a voice assistant with the earbuds - in this instance it's still only the right earbud that can be used alone. If you don't set this up and use the default voice assistant (whatever your phone has) then you can use either on its own. I hope that explains it!
@@insidetechltdYes thanks :) It might be worth writing that into a pinned comment IMO, it's a pretty big deal to me and I'm sure other and that would be enough to put me off a purchase!
Well, fo some reason went for xm3. Great deep clear bass on mobile when upgraded sound on sony bass, however on my sony nw-a40 walkman no so exited .. wondering if bass would be better on xm4?
I don't think the difference is that big to be honest, the sound is quite similar. It depends a lot on how the earbuds fit though, this is essential for bass. So maybe the new design would fit better with a tighter seal and therefore the bass seems better (I suspect it's more like your walkman though if they sounded great on your phone)
Its possible that it only works with the right side because google assistant is on, it happened with my 1000xm3 so i had to turn it off to use the left side on its own
I purchased these earbuds the other day and man… do they put some pain on your ears after 30 min or so. Also, a lot of connection problems with iPhones so just be aware if you are in the market for these. Lastly, great presentation my friend very fluent
@@insidetechltd thx for the reply but have u crack opened it? the previous versions batteries were extremely easy to replace. im environmentally conscious, hence the question.
No, because this voids the warranty and affects the performance. It's not a user-replaceable battery, but I couldn't say whether it's technically possible to replace it by breaking it open. Glad to hear you're environmentally conscious, but I can't advise you there i'm afraid 👍🏼
@@episteme666 : Hey, I was thinking the same.Read reviews about xm3 being future proof and fixable.Since we are spending a lot on these I would also wish it lasted long. And most earbuds looses its battery capacity within few years.
So depressing how Sony dropped the ball on the upgrade. I'm not dropping an eye watering $400 for buds. I hate the trend of no 3 5 jack anymore. Which is why I still have my S10+ My kingdom for a decent pair that checks all the boxes. The one plus you didn't mention is that at least with the XM3's I know you can buy another bud if you loose it or damage it. My XM3's have been working great and I waited patiently for them to drop really low in price. I got them last year so I can expect to see the new ones in a year or more to drop in price. I did notice that the XM3 went on sale just as the Bose came out. But went back up in price like a bit later I have to say the feature of replacing a bud for semi cheap us a huge bonus for me. My daughter had Samsung buds previously and once they started loosing equal sound the only thing you could do if get the app to push sound heavy to one side (she has a Samsung so she used the sound assistant app). Thx for the review. I'm not buying any buds until they come down in price. Especially since they don't equal the same sounds as wired buds. But maybe I'm just picky with the quality.

Same goes for the bozos that love giving out the paper straws. I use 1 litre per straw I get. Easily take a day on the weekend and just go for a drive, usually easiest to use it all in one day. Pedal to the floor as often as possible. Sick of this "environment" nonsense. Incredibly helpful and tactfully informative. I am looking for a new pair of truly wireless earbuds since my Bose SoundFree Sport earbuds died on me after 2 lovely years, and this video was very helpful. Thank you very much.😁😊👍👌🙌
Thank you! 🙌🏼
Can these earbuds be switched off/on manually without placing them in the charging case?
I didn’t notice a big volume difference really. But listening to the M4 I can’t believe they wouldn’t be loud enough. Max volume is deafening
Thank you, and I think you're right!
very comprehesive and well reviewed!!
Thank you very much!
WF-1000XM4 vs Jabra Elite 85T? Any chance you could do this video?
There’s always a chance! I’ll be honest though, I have a pretty busy schedule and I already covered them each in-depth 😬 I’d retread a lot of familiar ground in a comparison video. Never say never though! So for now I’m happy to test, compare and answer any questions you have - just let me know! 👌🏼
Any thoughts on sound quality between the two using the same codec and equivalent EQ settings (detail, sound stage, etc)?
So by default, Jabra has a more dynamic sound: there's an emphasis on the bass and treble (like a V-shaped EQ), whereas Sony has a much more balanced sound. Sony's sound has greater clarity and soundstage though - it just seems a bit more refined.
A lot of this is subjective though and what each person personally likes. I think Sony has a more accurate and refined sound though
Thanks! Is that statement about the clarity and soundstage of the XM4s the same after EQing the Jabras to match them?
That's before. So you can take a little out of the bass to try and balance it more, but it doesn't suddenly create as clean bass as you get with Sony. I still don't think the clarity is there in the midrange either - but you have to really listen to notice these differences. So I reckon other factors should come into the purchase decision
Will the new xm4 ear tips fit the xm3?
I believe so, yes
Thanks for the review... I'll stay with the wfxm3
Thanks for watching!
I have a question. Can you have Ldac and an custom EQ active or DSEE at the same time using Sony Headphone Connect App?
Yes, you can have all three! Just tried it 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd Thank you :)
These earbuds are fantastic. Bought a pair of these last week. Nice to have a pair of earbuds I can take with me when I don't want to take their bigger brother headphones which I also have.
Mine come tomorrow, what's the bass like
@@adamyzfr7009 no different to their over ear brothers, which is obviously a good thing.
@@jordanking7711 that's sweet bro, this will be the first ever time using buds
Awesome! I agree with the above advice on sound too ^ What a great pair of earbuds to start off with!
Pretty much all of the earbuds you're reviewing seems great, i have such a hard time chosing which one to buy. First world problem i guess
2 of the best on the market in a row! But yes, it’s totally first world problems 😅
I recommend you xm4.. I have xm3 and now I've ordered xm4 and i am proud about my new ones
@@bl4ckangel89 Hey! Are you statisfied with the xm4? I really cannot decide if I should purchase the xm3 or xm4. I could get the xm3 for 100Euros since the xm4 does cost about 220 Euros. But I am ready to pay a bit more for a better noise cancelling and audio quality on top as well
You said at the end of the video that they don't have the best battery life, which one has then 🤔? Nice review by the way!
I’m not sure about the very best as I’d have test them all 😅 but Galaxy Buds + beat them, for example
Currently the M3 is 80€ vs 223€ the XM4
I think the extra cost wouldnt be worth it right?
With that price gap...no, not worth it. 80€ is a steal!
VERY GOOD REVIEW!
Thank you! 🙌🏼
It is possible to use both earbuds independently. Click system and turn off Voice Assistant by selecting Do Not Use, it will work.
You're right 👍🏼
Which is better, SONY WF-1000XM4 or SENNHEISER MOMENTUM True Wireless 2?
It depends on what factors you prioritise really. But I’d say Sony because of the feature set, battery life and noise cancelling
@@insidetechltd so which sound better?
@@insidetechltd Thank you so much for your answer.
You can use either earbud on its own and leave the other in the case with the XM4 👍🏼
Just bought the XM3 for 99€, seems pretty nice for that price.
Yeah that's a good price 👌🏼
Well, fo some reason went for xm3. Great deep clear bass on mobile when upgraded sound on sony bass, however on my sony nw-a40 walkman no so exited .. wondering if bass would be better on xm4?
I don't think the difference is that big to be honest, the sound is quite similar. It depends a lot on how the earbuds fit though, this is essential for bass. So maybe the new design would fit better with a tighter seal and therefore the bass seems better (I suspect it's more like your walkman though if they sounded great on your phone)
Its possible that it only works with the right side because google assistant is on, it happened with my 1000xm3 so i had to turn it off to use the left side on its own
Yes, that is the reason - we worked it out in the comments 😄
impressive review 10/10
Thank you! 🙌🏼
@@insidetechltd thank you for the work mate
Excellent pair of TWS. I prefer them over the AirPods Pro, Jabra elite 85t, and the Liberty air 2 pro. If only they had multipoint!
Multipoint would seal the deal
I purchased these earbuds the other day and man… do they put some pain on your ears after 30 min or so. Also, a lot of connection problems with iPhones so just be aware if you are in the market for these. Lastly, great presentation my friend very fluent
Thanks a lot! Sorry you didn't find them comfortable 🤷♂️
Do you think the battery is replaceable?
You can't replace the batteries yourself
@@Sam-dh3tb id never invest in such a product, dude. they become obsolete within 2 3 years.
Finally 🥳
That's how I feel 😅
So depressing how Sony dropped the ball on the upgrade. I'm not dropping an eye watering $400 for buds. I hate the trend of no 3 5 jack anymore. Which is why I still have my S10+
My kingdom for a decent pair that checks all the boxes. But went back up in price like a bit later
I have to say the feature of replacing a bud for semi cheap us a huge bonus for me.
$400? 😧
I guess it’s too soon to say whether Sony will release spare earbuds for the M4, they’re pretty new.
Thanks for watching though! I think it’s good to be picky when flagship earbuds are so expensive!
Yep, as of now, it costs more than 400 bucks on marketplace in Indonesia 🤪
How about pnc
Please review one plus buds z they cost around 35 to 40 dollars in my country
If I get time, i'll check them out!
I cant use xm3 for workout? :(
You can...but there's no protection against sweat or water - so the XM4 would be much better for this!
I’ve had my WF-1000XM4 for a little over 24 hours, as of writing this comment, and I can actually use both the right and left earbuds independent of each other.
Yes, it works if you don't use the Google Assistant feature 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd oh? Odd.
Need help please.
On SALE today, and almost the same price at $120. Which you gonna buy?:
1. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 1

4. Jabra Elite 85T

@@insidetechltd Hi! I got the Sony. The sound is amazing, mostly in the 360 reality audio setup. But I got a problem in stuttering. It’s very annoying because it’s continues. My other wireless earbuds or earphones seldom does that…and not at all. Do you have idea in this problem?
I'm not sure exactly. It could be that the 360 audio isn't as stable. And you can also try changing the settings to 'prioritise connection' rather than 'prioritise sound quality' in the app. Otherwise you're best bet is to ask Sony!
@@insidetechltd factory defect that’s what I got. I sent it back and gave e back my money. Now I got the Liberty 2 Pro. It sounds great also.
Bout to review the reviewer.....love the detailed content you're producing on your page, but sometimes its almost hard to sit through with the lackluster voice with the same cadence...it almost reminds me of those videos where they have a robot reading the entire script. Your video production and reviews definitely outweigh the voiceover performance though!
You think listening to it was bad? I had to for hours and hours editing the voice over 😩 count yourself lucky!
Haha thanks though, and sorry about the VO!
@@insidetechltd okay perhaps I was a little harsh there 😅I can appreciate the number of man-hours put into a single video, which is why I didn't hesitate to subscribe. Thank you for the reliable content!
Not at all! I agree with you 👌🏼 I'll try to work on it for now until someone better can take over and do it 😅 Appreciate the support though!
@@insidetechltd your voice work was perfect. Clear and easy to understand - especially for non native English speakers - I'm from the UK so I'm used to different English accents. Some people just need to find something to complain about.

After listening to another expensive TWS, I found that the sound quality is nowhere near the wired IEMs even in $20 price range so I'll stick to wired IEMs for few more years until the humans on Earth improve Bluetooth audio to match wired ones
I dont think you tried the PI7 yet?
@@JoeGillian0 It is very expensive $400 and it also has some drawbacks in other areas but no money either to try that now as I already bought one TWS so may be sometime in the later future
I'm not sure wireless could ever match wired to be honest. But I certainly think there are still lots of earbuds that are better than many wired pairs! $20 though 😱
My XM3s sound better than all the IEMs I’ve tried. Even the KZ ZSN/Pros. Better balanced, better controlled low end, more detailed treble.
@@insidetechltd yeah but I think they’re talking about chi-fi IEMs, which are known for matching or surpassing the ability of IEMs 5x their price or more

Damn! Why no multipoint?
Only Jabra does multipoint?
Only Jabra has multipoint. Others might do Multi point if you pay em may be $150 more cuz they wanna get rich asap and keep on getting rich with people's money for decades ;) Jabra also has its downsides like no mono on left, no Aptx etc
I assume it's expensive to add multipoint because not enough companies include it!
Hi, I got M4 a couple of days now, even though it sounds a little better than my M3, however the M3 are louder and have more bass. Anyone?
RS4 is better than M4. Looks better and handles better and you get that excellent quattro system 😁
Not really my experience - volume and bass depends a lot on the fit though!
It could be the fit. If not then maybe Sony have lowered the volume a bit to protect the hearing of customers. Has there been any improvement?
Sony WF-1000XM3 Sound quality is better
Multipoint is deal-breaker for me
I’m sure you’re not alone there 👍🏼
My Jabra 75T has multipoint. I have connected it to my PC and smartphone and it works flawlessly. Just need to pause on one and play on another. As easy as that
They have got smaller size & good fits compared to XM3's. But, their earbuds setting system isn't appreciable as Soundcore's!!
Moreover, I've small ears and after like an hour, it hurts in the outer side of the ears!! 😥

These kids today-always talking about being triggered.
Please stop using that word.
For every electronic item I buy that they have left out something in the name of the "environment" and paper not plastic packaging, I will drive my '21 RAM TRX (usually, or various other V8's or V12's to use as much petrol or diesel as possible) until I use at least 4 litres of fuel, per product.
Same goes for the bozos that love giving out the paper straws. I use 1 litre per straw I get. Easily take a day on the weekend and just go for a drive, usually easiest to use it all in one day. Pedal to the floor as often as possible. Sick of this "environment" nonsense. I grew up in HS in the 90s, so elementary (American born) through mid school they banged on and on about using paper and how evil we were if we did, and even recycled paper uses so much energy to make, versus virgin paper. "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle". What a bunch of propoganda. And these moronic paper straws; any alien species will zoom by wondering WTF these idiots on this planet are doing drinking liquid through paper. Yeah, let's keep it up. 🙄🙄
Well done! that will show them! I’m sure sony will change their minds about becoming more sustainable when they realise you are wasting your own money using excess fuel that you didn’t need to. 😂
@Rob Gretton Excess fuel to whom exactly? Why are Leftys constantly trying to dictate parameters of what's "right" and what's "wrong"? Wrong is ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that you disagree with. It's like all of you stopped maturing at age 10. Insanely funny though. And thankfully just like any idiotic time in history, it doesn't last forever. And that is what brings solace to the normal humans who understand science and never subscribe to these mentally unstable Far Alt Leftys (which is actually all of the Left. There is no "moderate" anymore) and their delusions. The "gender wars", "sexuality wars", "culture wars", identity politics, global warming.....errrr I mean "Climate Change", victim mentality, safe spaces, gender neutral BS, banning gas stoves, banning incandescent light bulbs, banning plastics in general, banning speech, banning choices, banning smoking and on and on and on.
This incessant need for the libt***s to micromanage everyone else's lives but their own is truly psychotic. I may have given you the benefit of the doubt and said sociopathic, but we all know how evil, manipulative, and deceitful you all are, but you believe your actions are justifiable and yet have absolutely no remorse for said actions.
Brings to mind others in our history that were exactly like the Left; Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Pot, Gaddafi, Bin Laden, Lenin, Amin, Mugabe, Lukashenko, the Kim's, and many more all share the same Ultra Far Left ideals and beliefs. It's truly disgusting.
