In case this reaches anyone considering it - cove was an absolutely awful system. I had to go through 3 panels, before being "graciously offered" to be allowed to pay for the new, upgraded one. After 4 hrs of arguing, I got it for 90% off (taking my monthly credits, and getting a free month of monitoring), and although now it didn't break, the feature set was worse and it had a Cove-created login that I couldn't change. Yay. And this is on top of there hardware glitches and breaks. Huge waste of money.

When comparing professional monitored systems I think it's important to also consider the service side of them because that's a huge factor as to why people get them in the place. Calling in to get help, having a tech come out to service the system, how much those service trips costs, what's covered under warranty. Can I call on Christmas because a sensor keeps setting off the alarm?
We’ve been using Eufy with their $100/yr monitored service and really liking it. It appears to be best value and Eufy cameras are always top notch. The main thing it misses is cellular backup option for HomeBase 3. As you know, for monitoring service they use Noonlight. What are your thoughts on Noonlight for monitoring? Now that Ring AGAIN essentially doubled there price, Eufy seems like it MIGHT now be the top contender… But YOU are the pro… so what are YOUR thoughts. While we are out BeerVlogging we want to keep our house and fridge of beer super safe. If cost is not an issue for me what is the best option where I can get all the equipment like cameras, sensors, smart doorbell etc to install in a villa knowing that it is big and not small or medium With a garden too. I want the best of the best
Ring alarm they have a wide selection of cameras and charging options like solar wired and battery and doorbells with a ton of features and many others like smart lighting which integrates with the alarm and mailbox sensor and more the ring alarm pro has a battery backup with a ton of other accessories
Definitely not Vivint i had their system the cams kept cutting out the alarm went off for no reason and customer service is bullshi$ but ADT is good SimpliSafe is good but not as good as ring ring has better cams doorbells and more
Ring is NOT the best of the best, I’d go with Eufy b4 Ring: better cameras and monitoring costs. I’m considering a hard wired system (non-wifi for better security), with smart features, but controllable and recall able incase you need to disable the wave access.
Reolink it has very good quality and wired but its really good or you can get a ring spotlight cam pro it has a built in siren light 2 way audio and i find it more user friendly and appealing with the features but it depends on your needs ring is wired/wireless/solar and reolink is wired ring has many features and a built in light if you want normal use and a light and features then get ring if you just want good quality go with reolink.
Is there a system like ring but touchscreen and you don’t need a professional monitoring subscription
ADT had been charging me $80 / month for a while with an out of date system with no external cameras and I finally got rid of it !
Funny how this entire topic, and all this money we spend, purely because assholes exist.
Is there any one system that is more prone to hackers disabling or utilizing the cameras against the homeowner to observe them? Thank you!
