Let’s see the adjustments made and how the team responds. This doesn’t spell doom for those ready to panic. Remember this is the guy’s first ever coaching job. We can’t love him for the .3-0 start then turn on him for the 2 game skid. Learn from the losses, practice and prepare make adjustments to lineup if needed/ or can and get back to basics. I still like what I saw games 1-3, better than anything ham gave us play calling and rotation wise. Keep grinding lakers. Long season and plenty of basketball left to play.

We learned about the ineptitude of Jeannie/Rob once again. The fact we did not do any moves this off-season and pray for something to happen in the mid-season is another wasted season IMO. Unless JJ can pull a miracle, I get the feeling we, will be again in that play-in purgatory.

JJ is probably still a better shooter than 80% of the roster but ain't turning water into wine. They still should get back no worse than 5-3.

Get what you can from the regular season, stop pretending DLo and Reeves can coexist on the starting 5, they are hunted nightly. Sit DLo and good things will happen.
I was surprised when Max Christie got his 4 year 32 million deal as I havnt seen him do much on the court as a professional player in game. Shame we spent that money due to not being able to get any seasoned solid bench / role players. Knect is looking like a much better player than Christie and should be first one off the bench in my humble option for what we have seen so far. I hope max can step it up. I think after 5 games we can honestly say that D'Lo is not a starting guard, I am sorry, it has been 3 years now and all what we have been waiting for is D'lo playing consistently, we are not asking for 27/9/7, which's normal for a good starting point guard in the NBA, but we just want consistent play of 18-20/6/5 and he is not delivering.. Start Max or K4, and let them get used to playing with the starters and being comfortable taking on some responsibilities because we will need them in the playoffs, plus we all know we are not gonna keep D'Lo anyway so bench him sooner better than later..

@@wills.9422 I honestly don't care what records he broke, the only thing that changed about coaching is his usage rate, went down from 24% to 16%, because AR is playing as a starter compared to last year when the great HAM played PRrince and Reddish instead, so what JJ is trying to do with AR is taking the load off him and Lebron , the problem is not coaching it's his shooting percentage, 30% I believe, and I know it'll get better, the problem is that he could go through one of these horrible slumps when you need him the most during the playoffs or when you want to make a good run during the regular season, but if he is coming off the bench you can know when to paly him 30mnts a game or 15mnts a game based on what state he is in, but as a starter you are wasting a lot of mnts on a guard who you don't know what could give you that night, so focus on AR and Lebron to run your offense with the starters, play K4 for the shooting or Max for the defense , and let D'lo cook off the bench with Gabe..

AR decision making is much better than D Lo. AR is more crafty and L Lo sort of does the same thing and very predictable on offense and a complete nightmare on defense. If D Lo isn't scoring 20+ points consistently then he is not only a liability on defense but now offense. I agree put AR at PG and DK4 at SG and keep the starting rotation the same. Play Olivari off the bench some minutes and see how he does. D Lo should only be playing 20 minutes a night.
We need better defense from our back court, too many elite guards in the west. We need another big too, Hayes can’t be the only option and waiting for Christian woods can’t either. Vanderbilt needs to come back fully healthy and avoid another injury, but he isn’t the solution to all our defensive problems. Do we ever see a reeves, Vanderbilt, rui, bron, ad starting 5?
all i know is we have a 10 game winning streak coming and even if we go 8-2 in the next 10 game, i'll be dissappointed. No reason why we should not win the next 10 games.

D'angelo Rusell has been wildly underperforming. Last season it felt as if he was more involved in the offense, and thats what got in going in his rhythm. If JJs plan is centered around Dlo not leading any unit, I feel he needs to go. Dlo simply isnt good enough defensively and if hes not gonna move around and become an off ball threat and shoot, theres just not a place for him in the team. In fact whats alarming is Dlos major role comes in the regular season where the defenses arent pressuring you 94 ft and if hes not performing now, then Rob should really strongly be considering moving him at the deadline. Max has been really dissapointing, we expected more offensive development from someone who just signed a 4yr extension. Hes only been hounded on the defensive end and was supposed to be POA defender and we expect more from someone like that. Lakers need more depth of scoring off the bench. In the 2022-23 season we had Dennis and Lonnie Walker who were legitimate bucket getters (take a look at the GSW west semis series).
It is obvious that the Lakers will not win with a nine-man rotation they have to at least play 11 players or more in order to give some efficiency or this season can be called off early because they won't win anything and like I said plenty of time before Anthony Davis is not a sinner and the Lakers definitely need more size and maybe even another point guard that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it 🤔💡💯👍🏀💯

I hate when fans overreact. We have a better start compared to last year, with Ham we would obviously have a worse record. Lakers played like 4 games in 6 days so take it easy. We have an easier schedule compared to these first 5 games.
Unlike the Preseason, Dalton Knecht is averaging only 35% for 3-pointers = 14 for 40 after 5 NBA Regular Season games played as a below average 1-on-1 player.
Lakers should go 14-5 or 15-4 or 14-6 over next 20 games. Many winnable games and need to establish their record
The main issue is lack of depth and poor production from the 3rd guy DLo. Pelinka needs to go along with all the useless players he gave player options to on their last year. Trade Dlo, the whole bench minus rookies, and bring up some of the 2 way contract players. Get rid of your picks too cause you don't use them well.
What we learn from the previous games is lack of defense, defense wins title.. I think Lakers would address this problem in a proper perspective.

I think after 5 games we can honestly say that D'Lo is not a starting guard, I am sorry, it has been 3 years now and all what we have been waiting for is D'lo playing consistently, we are not asking for 27/9/7, which's normal for a good starting point guard in the NBA, but we just want consistent play of 18-20/6/5 and he is not delivering.. Start Max or K4, and let them get used to playing with the starters and being comfortable taking on some responsibilities because we will need them in the playoffs, plus we all know we are not gonna keep D'Lo anyway so bench him sooner better than later..

Sure he folds in the playoffs but what he’s doing now is terrible, sure it’s still early in the season but it doesn’t feel like he’s going to get better.
@@wills.9422 I honestly don't care what records he broke, the only thing that changed about coaching is his usage rate, went down from 24% to 16%, because AR is playing as a starter compared to last year when the great HAM played PRrince and Reddish instead, so what JJ is trying to do with AR is taking the load off him and Lebron , the problem is not coaching it's his shooting percentage, 30% I believe, and I know it'll get better, the problem is that he could go through one of these horrible slumps when you need him the most during the playoffs or when you want to make a good run during the regular season, but if he is coming off the bench you can know when to paly him 30mnts a game or 15mnts a game based on what state he is in, but as a starter you are wasting a lot of mnts on a guard who you don't know what could give you that night, so focus on AR and Lebron to run your offense with the starters, play K4 for the shooting or Max for the defense , and let D'lo cook off the bench with Gabe..

AR decision making is much better than D Lo. AR is more crafty and L Lo sort of does the same thing and very predictable on offense and a complete nightmare on defense. If D Lo isn't scoring 20+ points consistently then he is not only a liability on defense but now offense. I agree put AR at PG and DK4 at SG and keep the starting rotation the same. Play Olivari off the bench some minutes and see how he does. D Lo should only be playing 20 minutes a night.

We need better defense from our back court, too many elite guards in the west. We need another big too, Hayes can’t be the only option and waiting for Christian woods can’t either. Vanderbilt needs to come back fully healthy and avoid another injury, but he isn’t the solution to all our defensive problems. Do we ever see a reeves, Vanderbilt, rui, bron, ad starting 5?

D'angelo Rusell has been wildly underperforming. Last season it felt as if he was more involved in the offense, and thats what got in going in his rhythm. If JJs plan is centered around Dlo not leading any unit, I feel he needs to go. Dlo simply isnt good enough defensively and if hes not gonna move around and become an off ball threat and shoot, theres just not a place for him in the team.
In fact whats alarming is Dlos major role comes in the regular season where the defenses arent pressuring you 94 ft and if hes not performing now, then Rob should really strongly be considering moving him at the deadline.
Max has been really dissapointing, we expected more offensive development from someone who just signed a 4yr extension. Hes only been hounded on the defensive end and was supposed to be POA defender and we expect more from someone like that.
Lakers need more depth of scoring off the bench. In the 2022-23 season we had Dennis and Lonnie Walker who were legitimate bucket getters (take a look at the GSW west semis series).
