Imagine the minor 11…🤯
Combined with a 5th goes hard

Unless you mean the bass of his voice, there is most certainly no bass

In my opinion: Minor 7th chords sound less mean because it contains a major triad. It's even a triad in respect to the chord of the 3rd degree of the minor scale of the chord that was used (e.g. Cm7 has C, Eb, G, Bb; remove C, and get the chord of the 3rd degree of C Minor, which is Eb).
Yeah, to me on major scales it feels way better to resolve on a minor seventh sixth degree than a maj7 first degree

Ah, chord extensions! :D Whenever I do chord stacks/supersaws/progressions in general, it helps so much that I pretty much add 'em instinctively ^^
☺️
I almost had a heart attack until he said "seven" in the first sentence.
Just super fun to watch your videos. Thank you!
I've been learning guitar for the last 6 months and I know nothing about music theory, but this feels similar to how satisfying the pentatonic scale is to play.

This is one of the coolest channels i stumbled into on youtube. Love the format
This is some of the tastiest video editing I have listened to since Bill Wurtz. I have got to learn how to do this stuff. It's like there's a magic that hits when the transitional audio is a perfect cohesive glue to something that already has an organically forming rhythm. Take my sub.
i have an even unhealthier obsession with major 9th chords
this kind of content is such a breath of fresh air, short and sweet
I like switching back and forth between the base and the 7th to add movement.
I love ur videos so much

I just realised how MASSIVELY underrated your are holy shit
I can't go over the fact that I learned more about Fl studio by discovering this channel today than watching tons of tutorials. Thanks a lot
thanks for your videos man. I always learn something from these. even the things I sorta know, you bring a different light to it, and it gives me some newfound inspiration
Watching your video reveals a lot, and when I see your video editing, I think about how much effort you must put in. So, thank you for uploading such tutorials for us.♥♥♥
This just makes me smile, thank for making my day good.
I love this channel so much
Always love these videos! ❤
rave stabs are literally just these used as melodies and they go hard as hell
hope you cover sus2/4 and become some modern harmony (or jazz harmony depending on where youre from) guy using g#7b11#13 or something
You can't have ♭11 or #13 in a dom7 chord ☝🤓G#7 = G#, B#, D#, F#. The ♮11th would be C#, so if we flatten it then it's just C. But C is the same note as B#, which is the third. The 13th = F, so #13 would be F# which is the ♭7.

Bro i can hear your swedish accent, its so heavy! Also you make great and amazing music
best chord ever is maj 7 + added 2nd in the bass *move chromatically. instant jazz fusion
My best channel discovery of 2024.
Little bit of Music Theory.
We usually call these 7th chords as "Extended Chords" or "Chord Extensions". With 7 being the most Functional of the 5 (min7, maj7, Dom7, 7b5 and dim7) and the rest to give more color to your chord's tone (9ths, 11ths and 13ths).
Talking about the many ways you can play with these and the effects of each chord extensions would take awhile. but I'd say, if you're trying out these 7th chord extensions you can also experiment and build it up with the rest of the chord extensions such as the 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths for a more thicker complex sounding chord!

oh yeah finland moment
I struggled with understanding chords, but this really helped! Thanks alot!
I've never heard someone give such a good description of *why* to use sevenths. More people need to teach that way!
those siren risers scared me more than most lovecraftian horror
here's one way of thinking about the reason why synthet identifies that minor 7 chords make minor "sound less mean":
minor seven chords are also major chords with a major 6th added in if you think about it. example:
C Eb G Bb is the root voicing of c minor 7
revoicing this with the C at the top:
Eb G Bb C is the root voicing of Eb maj 6
the "chameleon" nature of this chord depending on context, voicing, and harmonic function, is part of what makes it sound somewhere in between major and minor. it's "major but dissonant", and also "minor with a major stacked on top".
I mean, that can be said of any extended harmony. That is, you can respell any four note voicing as a triad slash voicing, and further extensions as polychords. It's actually a pretty fun way to reharmonize. Just strip the voicing down to a triad and give it a bass note that isn't part of the triad
I don't think it's dissonant, but it creates more colour and also more tension, especially in the case of a ii-V-I; a minor seven chord isn't as stable as a normal minor chord but I like the way it sounds - richer and smoother.
the essensial chord of chord samples 🔥
lol kinda quite freaking original !!! Great work !
Best chord is definitelly the mighty Scriabin's (and Medtner's) ✨CHORD OF PLEROMA✨

congratulations, you now know how to make mega man battle network internet themes.
i've used so many m7s before watching your channel, crazy coincidence
you're so talented
Major seven chords are goated for house music
SO THATS WHAT THAT GENRE IS
the fun thing about Maj7 chords is that theyre also the foundation of most rave stabs in rave and gabber :D
Just seeing the cord in the thumbnail I already knew what you were talking about. Most chords I use ends up using the added 7th. It adds a lot more depth and can easily change the tone of a piece
Wasn't expecting the rally house at 1:25 😊
Man, I really wish you would've been around when I was still making music.

this is actually how I made the chord progression 4 one of my favorite songs lol
also, inversions, suspensions, and add2/add4 are all great
Yeah, I've recently been obsessed with them too lol
