I rarely comment on these things, but I will say this... For those complaining about the "Disco" Close Encounters.... Remember, John Williams actually wrote that. It's not like other movies from that time where someone wrote the score and someone else decided to "Disco" it up..... John Williams actually wrote the disco version of Close Encounters. Probably the coolest disco version of any soundtrack I've heard.
I love this great arrangement and I love John Williams and I love how they add more effect with the bass guitar and drums with all the medleys it makes it fun excited and it makes me want to dance!!!! love it!!!!!!!
hello, i want to play this with my concertband. How can i get the parts? I ordered john williams fantasy, but the third kind is missing. Who can help me? Tim
Would have been much better without the corny 60s style drumset part. John Williams successfully moved film music past that corny phase. The entire middle section does John Williams a disservice. Otherwise, the beginning and end were very well arranged.

+Max Kauffman I read this comment before I listened to it. I believed you. BUT OMG IT IS GREEAAAAATTTT.
Love the Star Wars Soundtrack, sounds like 80's. xD
Sehr gute Bearbeitung, und Instrumental ausgeglichen und proportional gut gesetzt. Ein "Meisterstück"

Close encounters of the third kind, arrangement here is brilliant! Just like the movie, bar the disco
Wow, this is amazing! The piece is so majestic and powerful, just like John Williams wrote! I wish my band could play this!
i like the groovy take for encounter of the third kind.
BEAUTY FILLED AND FUN SO LONG SET !
May the force be with you!
Simply epic.
I would kind of like a list of the songs that are being played from first to last in this piece.
Gotta love all the parts from Close Encounters of the Third kind that starts around 4:47
It sounds cool in disco!
this was our halftime show last year a dedication to john williams... i now hate et because of all the triplets in the begining they drove me insane..
If you are looking for William's no-film-music symphonic masterpiece, search for his Sinfonietta!
I want a score!
Several of these arrangements are quite excellent (this one, Batman, Mario, Pirates). Who are the arrangers? And are the arragements available?
What's a John Williams medley without a tuba solo?
Meco, disco star wars.
yeah that is definitely not Jim Self in the Tuba solo in Close Encounters
How could you possibly not include the Harry Potter soundtrack in a John Williams fantasy medley?!
Because Star Wars took Harry's time as it is twice the movie series Harry Potter could ever hope to be.
freezor80 hey I agree with you somewhat but don't dis harry potter
The arrangement was written before Harry Potter movies :-)
What no Raiders of the Lost Arc theme? Come on guys.
Well, even though it is true, Raiders actually is an adventure movie
Lol disco close encounters of the third kind... But nonetheless, very nostalgia-inducing
hello,

=I give the benefit of....
how hard is this to play?
I, on the other hand, kind of like the 60s beat here. But it can be a bit annoying, yes
