This is one of the coolest gadgets I've looked at in a while. The IQ Buds allow you to mix digital audio from your device with your surrounding audio. The IQ Buds work with either iPhone or Android. I have got a pair, they are 100% absolutely amazing! Yes, the can amplify sound but they also let you turn down someones voice or voices in the background in the app. This is new technology, great job Nuheara, never going back to normal buds. I encourage and recommend these. wonder if they'll make a second :D!

Tor-Allan Vassvik, the sound quality for music is excellent, and I use them for cycling and gym workouts - they are comfortable and don't fall out. I can't comment on running though - running is not my thing

Good Student depends on the type of earbuds you have. If you've got earbuds which have a loose fit than yes that works, but most good earbuds have a tight and isolating fit for clearer audio and beefier bass and with those everything is muffled when you turn the volume down.

It's nice to know people can find stuff like this cool and appreciate being able to hear normally rather than being severely deaf.

I think this would help me alot, i have sensory processing disorder. (In a nutshell, It means my senses are wired differently than normal.) I can't filter sounds. So every voice i hear mixes with other sounds, people usually have to say things a few times to me even in a mildly busy environment like a small restaurant before i get what they are saying. I'm gonna give this a try and see if it helps... i hope it does.

i doubt so, this device is just like any other speaker with a plugged in microphone. All it does it make you hear things the way you hear things around you with your naked ear, only louder. Btw i get what's troubling you. I have issues with my left ear too, sometimes it gets so bad all i hear are noise and i cant make out what a person is saying. I also hv trouble hearing bass in music.

I think the idea is that if theres a lot of noise at the restaurant, this will save you from the awkward "what did you say?" that happens 30 times a conversation.
I've been to plenty of restaurants where the environment is really loud and I have trouble hearing the people across from me or down the table from me. These would be perfect.
Wouldn't the sound amplification, also amplify the ambient sounds too? for example loud music at the restaurant?
Very basic sound amplification would amplify ambient sound, but with modern algorithms and especially with multiple microphones, you can isolate specific sounds to the extent that conversations near you will be amplified without amplifying background audio. I'm sure this company has leveraged this in their product since it's not terribly difficult to do today.

Great reviews... I owned a pair Rowkin Pace. Bought this with a Gift that I got for Christmas and was excited to get these when it comes to market,hey don’t get uncomfortable on my head, no distressing, no headaches. YEAH that cool!! Relatively comfortable, noise cancellation is nice, sound quality is passable.
I have been using these for 4 months and totally agree. Hands down the next revolution in headphones! Nalied it on all levels and this video is justification.

Justin Quihuis The music quality is very good. I have a pair of wired senhisers hd595 compares to that. Not sure what the signiture is.When you compare what the IQBuds deliver compared to others on the market, ie HD595 it beats any headphone out there. The added benefit is you can wear the IQBuds in all environments without it getting in the way.

I am extremely disappointed with Nuheara and the IQ Buds:
1. They are not cheap, they cost AUD$400 and 2 days ago I received my IQ Buds only to realise that the right earbud did not work and in spite of the left one being all the time inside the case, its led light was all the time red as if it was discharged.
2. I think Nuheara either does not have a quality assurance process in place to identify defective products or it does not work properly. I don't understand how this can happen and which is worse, how common the issue potentially is. I actually read a couple of reviews more on their website (out of almost 170 reviews) that described the same issue.
3. It is just so frustrating to realise that I wasted my time reading all the 167 reviews last week to notice that they only publish positive reviews and I guess, some random negative reviews. My negative review wasn't published, which makes me think how many people more eventually have experienced the same issue.
4. The only thing that I have to acknowledge though is the willingness from their customer service team to help. They offered a replacement of the right earbud, however, as I described above, it is now difficult for me to rely on their products' quality.
it was a defect and they offered you a new one I could understand disappointment but extremely disappointed even when they offered a replacement seems harsh.

In ear monitors will dampen the sound so it won't work as well as this probably. There are other solutions tho like using open headphones or bone conducting ones.
Hendrix Mane yes, but you can have your volume on full for the headphones and the certain settings can allow a microphone to let them speak and you can hear them. So, if u got kinda creative u can sing with the music. And basically you'd be in the song lol

I want this.... I dug around and figured out that the left bud pairs with your device and can be used independent of the right bud - which is perfect for me since I'm deaf in my right ear anyway. But for a single wireless bud, I can't quite justify the huge price tag.... I currently use bone-conducting Panasonics if I need to hear and not talk (at the office) or LG Tone Actives (if I need to talk and not hear at the gym/making calls), but it's a pain switching back and forth.
The other competitors (Jabra, Samsung, etc) pair with the right bud or disable when both buds aren't being used in proximity, so they're not even worth it to me. Ugh......

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this in a previous comment, but imagine if you could use these ear buds to translate languages in real time. That would be something amazing and would make the company billions. Imagine how many applications! My future in laws are Spanish and don't speak English: I understand a little Spanish and speak even less. If nothing else, when I sat at the dinner table I could understand what they were talking about without needing translation. Plus the ear buds are relatively discreet.
I also work in an airport where the ability to understand passengers would be so useful; especially Polish!

I love how you mentioned being at home and not being able to hear like the doorbell. I think I wanna try these bad boys. I often watch my niece and nephews at night and they are ages 3yrs-6yrs old. I can't have the tv volume level any louder than like 5 out of 100 or the kids hear it and will wake up.💡I wonder how well these work when talking to someone who constantly turns away from you and whispers the most important part of the whole Damn conversation but as soon as they are facing you again they speak normally and they keep doing that everytime they repeat it. Just found out I need a hearing aid, and I'm young. The hearing aids at the doctors office were so aweful, watching this video gives me hope that I can use a regular earbud, listen to music AND adjust certain bands of the spectrum. I found out there's 2 types. Sound amplifiers, and OTC (over the counter) hearing aids which reduce ambient noise and amplify only the bands that you lost. I hope this can custom increase inly certain bands.
