I hope one day to visit the Tweetsie Railroad with both of these steam locomotives. On going. Such a beautiful steam railroad at a theme park in the state of North Carolina. Very cool. Quite so cool with East Tennessee & Western North Carolina #12 and White Pass & Yukon 190.
And I forgot to add the rest of that message, but here it goes. And locomotive 190 is a 2-8-0 class consolidation type locomotive, a basis model for most early freight class steam engines in America, and it's wearing a rather easy to guess whistle, the crosby 3 chime.
The only two enclosed wooden cars were combine 10 and coach 5. You can see the coach in this video, the combine was retired in 1960 and later went to the North Carolina Transportation Museum.
I LOVE the colorful paint scheme. Its absolutely beautiful!!! Steam locomotives just AWESOME machines, they're marvels to look at!!! I LOVE the sound of her whistle and that "chugga", "chugga" sound she makes as she thunders through the town. #190 is an AWESOME beauty, a marvel to look at! 😍🥰❤️
We recently launched a channel all about cameras, cinematography, editing, audio, and how it applies for railfans. Featured on our channel, the 'Everett Meehling' channel is new, but is specifically designed to help with these sorts of questions. What camera to buy for instance is a lot more complex than knowing what camera your favorite channels use, and we are currently working on a video which aims to help railfans pick the rest best camera. My personal favorite is the Lumix S5, but it's just barely under 1600 for the camera alone when on sale, not including a lens, extra batteries, SD cards that can handle the cameras recording abilities, etc. (Not all SD cards are created equal)
I really like your videos. Fabulous job!! I really love the write up and the break down of the time and trains on your videos. So organized and so professional! Great job to all involved with this video. Keep them coming. 😇
Number 12 is the original “tweetsie”. The original number 12 of 13 and the only one that survived the scrap heap. The other engine no. 190 is called the “Yukon queen”. Number 12 is my favorite for its own history with the RR but I also love that the Yukon queen was made for use during WW2 to help build the Alaska highway. Fun fact that engine 190 was made at the same place and time as dollywoods own narrow gauge engine named “Klondike Katie”. It’s said they were right beside each other in production and also went to the same area for use during the war. An old war train just sounds so amazing to me. But ol’ tweetsie no 12 is what started the whole thing.

Number 12’s bell sounds very similar to Roy O. Disney #4’s bell. Same thing with 190 sounding similar to Walter E. Disney’s bell.
Super catch😍❤
Sugar pine railroad is my favorite but we are moving to Texas so i wonder where this is located ive been watching this for sooo long i love it
This is located in blowing rock NC
This sent me right back to my childhood. Used to go here everyday for Day out with Thomas. Really a neat little place
Great to see the place is still going strong!

From what I can see and hear
Locomotive 12 is a 4-6-0 class and is wearing either a untuned lunkenheimer or a type of short 5 chime
And I forgot to add the rest of that message, but here it goes.

The 190 is a 2-8-2 Mikado
To the OP, 12 has always worn a Baldwin 3 chime, I think ever since its construction way back in 1917.
Love the train's show about the Indians attacking the train and the cowboys.
Excellent video
keep it up mate!
Thanks

What happened to the old closed wooden cars that used to be on the park's railroad?
The only two enclosed wooden cars were combine 10 and coach 5. You can see the coach in this video, the combine was retired in 1960 and later went to the North Carolina Transportation Museum.
ah, thank you, but this type of car is needed there
They haven’t needed it for decades

When I was a kid, Fred Kirby would show up out of nowhere and have a shootout with the actors.
What's up with Flat Car load of Steel Rail Stock?
It’s there for the photos
