I was like, 8 years old or so when pink or black came out. I watched this afterwards as a kid. Traumatized me for quite some time lol. Looks just ridiculously cartoonish as a teenager now.

This reminds me of Madoka Magica and besides that, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POOR BRUNETTE!!!!!! Oh god, she basically had a seizure and then she stretched her arms and limbs way too far to be humanly possible when about to get sucked in by a jet engine!

Well, I love to speculate. My theory is the alien parasite was already in the brunette while she was seizing, and she was fighting for control while the parasite sent her into the engine. Once the girl fell in, the alien was able to construct a new, humanoid body, which would explain why it showed the witch awakening right after.
...I love to speculate, but I tend to be wrong. Especially when it comes to directors who love to troll their viewers.

@Cassandra Lee Morris: I, honestly, speaking, have to agree, Jin - Chan, and, practically, absolutely, positively, definitely, completely, exactly, though, like, literally, all of the other Moon Cats in the series, just, look like color palette swaps of Kyubey, from, Madoka Magica, one of the three cats, that, I voice, the other two, being, Morgana, from, Persona 5, and, Yuumi, from, @League Of Legends, and, also, Sothis, from, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Also, as, for, The HeartCatch / Suite Pretty Cure element, yes, I would have to agree with you, but, there, definitely, completely, absolutely, positively, practically, exactly, though, would be some more Cures in either season, and, also, more colors for them.

Murakami is good at taking stereotypical anime characters/tropes for his art and it makes a big impact there bc they're huge larger than life statues and paintings...when he's creating an actual anime, it's just a complete rip off of lots of things mashed together.

The character designs are incredibly similar to Madoka.... and the transformation sequences from sailor moon.... I LOVE Murakami, I expected him to be involved with something more original.... that being said, the even more sadistic and bizarre twists and turns seem intriguing, so at least there is that.
