I don't care what anyone says, the guy who plays Captain Hook's son is the best part of this movie. He really hams it up, making me think his coach was some combination of Nicolas Cage and Tim Curry. He really is a diamond in the rough of this movie...wait, wrong Disney property
Really enjoyed this year's Disneycember. I think this and last year's are my personal favorites because most of these movies that he had to watch were ones that he hadn't seen before.
Doug, thank you for giving us this amazing Disneycember, I wish you, your family and everyone at Channel Awesome a Happy New Year! Happy 2018 to all of you!
I was just coming here to comment this, Lemonade Mouth is by far my favorite of the Disney Channel movies. It was so good I even went and read the book it's based on. Please check it out Doug!!!
"By Popular Demand..." Chances are that we will probably get to see a few more videos that didn't make the cut in December. After all, movies like, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" were done in Janurary, so chances are we that might see a few more Disney Channel movies get some love (if the demand is there).
Here's what I think he should do next year: - The other Winnie the Pooh movies. - The remaining Tinkerbell movies. - The Planes films. Maybe he could also do films he already did a Doug Reviews of (like Zootopia, Finding Dory, Moana, and Coco) just in case his opinion on them changed.
Alec Foisy He has 2 Disneycembers worth of DCOMs left. He covered 0 films from 2000 AND THERE WAS ONE DCOM A MONTH. The Cheetah Girls One World and Johnny Kapahala Back On Board we’re not covered despite their preceding films being covered
Mitch McNally Actually they did. Descendants has a prequel book series (which you should read by the way. It goes way more deeper than the movies) Frollo daughter name is Claudine and she’s the bell ringer at the school dragon hall
Yah I be live it wwas a dream or a day dream. Cause she's only one who wants to go back feeling like she's under too much pressure to be something she's not.
what I understand from the wiki is she was name after her mom, but called "Mal" for short cause she wasn't evil enough just bad or something silly like that.
I think it went that Maleficent thought the name "Maleficent" was a noble title that had to be earned or something, so until she earned the name, everyone called her Mal.
Doug, the oening song and dance sequence was actually a step into Mal's inner thoughts, seeing how she still has some wicked desires lingering within her.
Next year need to be a continuation of all the DCOMs you missed. Eddies Million Dollar Cook-Off; Phantom of the Megaplex, My Date with the Presidents Daughter, and of course Don't Look Under the Bed; just to name a few.
"-Acting like it never happened ...That's cuz it didn't. They clearly show that the opening song was a weird vision thing. A bit odd but it's clear it was a vision thing.
Wait, so they had the opportunity to have a fire-breathing dragon fight an octopus-bodied sea witch in the middle of the ocean and just had them argue and make up instead? That's...completely pointless.
The ending of the first film was almost as bad as this. In Descendants, Maleficent is free, turns into a giant dragon, and apparently froze time for everyone except the main characters. Then, Mal beats her mom with a staring contest.
... But you didn't do Princess Protection Program. Anyway, Happy New Year, Channel Awesome. Thank you for another year of quality entertainment and laughs.
Harika Mohan he mentioned in the review for smart house that he had the audience pick if he should have done smart house or princess protection program. And the people spoke by saying pick smart house over P.P.P. so he was gonna do it but didn't because people wanted him to review smart house instead.
Well hopefully if Doug DOES review it by popular demand, he'll actually remember who Demi Lovato is. If you don't get what I mean, just check out how he addresses her in the Camp Rock reviews
sadiethecat18 There is, but you have to use _underlines_ for that. No, why those don't underline words and slashes do italics, I'll never know. But that's how TH-cam works now.
I worked at a halloween store this year and I fucking hated how many descendants costumes I had to put up and moana got one little shelf in the corner.
999MonsterJam Yes. It explains the conflict of the apartheid in South Africa from different perspectives. It's not just a good DCOM, it's a great movie in general.
Well, thanks Doug, this has been a wonderful disneycember. Now i have to get used to not seeing a new video by you everyday Dx oh and happy new year everybody!
Don s. meme dream team - "idk what else he could do"...Wow, there's a ton of stuff without even getting into Fox: Disneynature docs, Foreign Disney movies (from Russia, India, China, France, Italy, Latin America, etc), Disney shorts, Touchstone films, Hollywood Pictures films, Miramax & Dimension films, ESPN films, Disney Channel Premiere films, Wonderful World of Disney films, Disney XD films, Freeform films, Lifetime movies, UTV films, Caravan Pictures,... and that's not counting the ton of 2D animated, 3D animated, live-action, Lucasfilm, Marvel, direct-to-video and DCOMs he hasn't covered yet.

I'm actually surprised in how much you enjoyed this year's Disneycember. Part of me was concerned that this could possibly be worse than last year when you reviewed the Disney sequels. But, I think you only got pissed off twice throughout the entire month. What really blew me away was your WoWP movie review. Not only was the review very positive, but it was also trending on TH-cam for like 2 to 3 days. Well, thank you Doug for this Disneycember and hopefully, now that Disney has bought Fox, you can take a look that those movies next year.
"Ways To Be Wicked" was Mal's daydream because she was unsatisfied with being good. I almost thought Uma was a decent villain until she backed down because Ben got between her and Mal. Was that supposed to imply she actually did have feelings for him and was choosing to respect his wishes? Did it mean that she has a secret good side? What does it mean?!
Just like her mother, there is always a catch. Also maybe she realized that her plan was going to go just like it did with Ursula with a sea witch dying. Use magic to manipulate a boy into liking you? Get killed. Or she saw that he really did care for Mal. One of the two.
By far my favorite year for Disneycember! This was for sure a treat for me seeing as I turned 18 this year and these are the movies I grew up with and then some. Thanks Critic and keep up the outstanding work!
You started with a film I was too young to watch and ended with a film I'm too old to relate, what a roller coaster this was. Thanks again for another amazing Disneycember!
I was hoping you'd do Lemonade Mouth. It's still cheesy as hell, but it talks about a lot of problems (family-wise) that a lot of kids/teens go through and it's one of the few Disney Channel Movies I genuinely enjoy.
@@summermermaidstar756 It's good idea but they don't aim it at older kids like zombies or high school musical or teen beach movie. These films humour an script are aimed at younger people
Wow. Such a good Disneycember. A huge Nostalgia rush for me as I remember most of those movies when I was younger. Thank you Doug Walker, aka, The Nostalgia Critic for reviewing all these films. Happy New Year. :)
Hey Doug, loving your Disneycember shorts/editorials/reviews. Looking forward to seeing what this year brings... I was thinking that perhaps you could give us a Muppet-themed Disneycember this year (seeing as Muppets are a Disney-owned property). I'm pretty sure lots of people would love to see it and hear your thoughts on all those Muppet-themed films, as well as lesser-known Creature Shop gems like The Dark Crystal or the Storyteller.
I didn't like the first one much, but I absolutely loved this one, idk I think Uma Harry and Gil were the reason that the second film was better to me. I have to agree that the first one with all the villains in one room, sitting and being mostly reactionary was hard to put up with
So Doug, this has been the first Disneycember I've followed all the way through, and indeed, I've had fun with it. I've never seen any of the movies you've covered, but nevertheless I enjoyed how you got into what made one enjoyable, what made another irritating, the tropes and cliches that each one contained, which ones worked and failed, and the lasting impressions of each overall experience. And of course, the bits where you showed genuine rage were vividly entertaining. Looking forward to more of your videos in the new year. Stay awesome~!
Another successful Disneycember, and Doug has survived once more. To everyone at Channel Awesome and to everyone in the comments, I wish you all a Happy 2018! May the new year be full of love, laughs, fun, and joy! =)
I really enjoyed this Disneycember, because it highlighted a lot of stuff I otherwise would have never heard of. Honestly these look like they might have been fun to make or work on, since they clearly weren't as serious as a cinematic production, and they could get a lot sillier than you'd normally see, for better or for worse.
Someone in these comments who agrees! I found the first one enjoyable, but I just watched the sequel last night and it was genuinely heartwarming and exciting. Considering what Uma said after the credits, it's a safe bet we're getting a third. Here's hoping it's good!
and let's not forget the moment EVERY Descendants fan was waiting for Mal and Ben to kiss to me it's like this fans to every disney movie kiss scene-oh god stop kissing fans reaction to ben and mal NOT kissing in the first movie-OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE KISS DAMN IT PLEASE!!!!!!!
I’m so sad now! I love Disneycember and the holiday season and now it’s officially over and back to reality. Thank you Doug for another fantastic Disneycember. Can’t wait to see 2018’s!
I REALLY loved this one. I love how the disney villains have kids. I love how they try to learn the differences between good and bad. I love the musical sequences, I just love everything about it. I can't wait for the third one next year!
I really loved this year's Disneycember. It was cool looking back on some of the movies I watched as a kid and getting a new perspective on them both from you and from my own new view of them. Can't wait for next year's!
Thank you for this amazing year of Disneycember. Hopefully we will get another one next year as there is still a good amount of stuff left. There's a few more DCOM, recent animated releases (moana, coco, zootopia, etc), the Indiana Jones films, marvel phase 3, and the FOX library (if you really wanted to keep it going)
Aww! I'm gonna miss Disneycember. There were a lot of great reviews this year! Thanks, Doug! Happy Disneycember and Happy New Year, everyone! 😃 Looking forward to next year!
I can't complain too much about shows being manipulative trying to sell things and give over a message when I grew up in the 80s with Transformers, Thundercats etc, when we were the Guinea pigs of all this.
This is such a bittersweet feeling! I love Disneycember SOOOOO MUCH, and it sucks to see it end so soon! With that being said though, I can't wait for next year's Disneycember! Happy New Year to you guys!
loved that you explored far beyond of the first thing that comes to your head when you say Disney, glad you had time ot analize the films youn people grew up with. keep the good work Dough and everyone in the Awesome channel
Thanks for the Disneycember Doug. Disneycember is always something I love and this year was no different. Thank you so much. Also not gonna lie, that opening number (while immediately negated by the actual film) was pretty dope.
I'm surprised Doug didn't mention the plot point of "using magic to make someone love you" being used AGAIN in the sequel. Mal did it to the prince in the 1st one, then it got washed off in the magical pool and he was like "Whatever, i liked you anyways". In this one, Uma does the same thing to the same guy and the movie wants us to think it's the worst thing ever, on par with Ursula doing it to Prince Phillip in Little Mermaid. I was like "make up your mind, you flucking writers!"
I think he did a good job covering them. Of the few that I've seen, the only ones he didn't cover were "Brink!", "Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire", "Now You See It...", "My Date With the President's Daughter" and "Read It and Weep".
Its a deconstruction series of Disney villains having children not meeting their expectations and a musical. Shrek and High School Musical has better premise than that and this sequel proves it.
The point of that opening musical number is that it expresses Mal's fears that she will always be bad and will in the end corrupt all of the good things in her life which is why she's trying so hard to change thinking that to be herself is to embrace evil.
(pats) You seriously deserve to watch something legitimately GOOD after having to put up with all of these DCOMs, most of which were bad. If you do an honorable mentions list, The Color of Friendship is one you missed and it's really good (which most of the underrated ones that didn't get sequels are, save some of the bizarre ones you reviewed like Can of Worms that is.)
ive heard umas villain song "whats my name" so many times and loved it, NEVER would've thought it was from a weird ass disney channel original movie about villains children. its a good song, for some unexplainable reason
I give the movie props for trying to add character to these...well characters. Even in the first one while it was cheesy and so corny, having the kids realise they grew up in an abusive home was rather hard hitting. And in the second one Evie, Jay and Carlos are terrified of returning to the island and running into their parents. They don't want to be stuck there again. Even in the books they don't shy away from these issues. You find out Carlos was pretty much a slave to his mother, while at least the other parents showed their kids some form of care. Idk i have to give these movies a good applause for trying, and they're clearly just for fun. If they were pushing these out as actual Disney movies, I think there should be more "outrage" but it's a Disney Channel movie. It's doing no harm.
Of all the Disneycembers where some entry's were skipped over, The DCOMS shouldn't have been the one. He should of done like 2 or 3 a day like the original Disneycember. The fact that Brink and Don't Look Under The Bed were skipped, both of which are all time classics, really bothers me
Maybe not next year, but I would love to see you do more of these movies again because there are so many. You skipped over all the ones I'm nostalgic about haha.
This year's Disneycember was a blast. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year and in the meantime I can't wait to see what's in store for the future!
0:46 The first song was supposed to be a fantasy that Mal was having, so everything that took place in that song was just in her head. But I can see how you can get confused with that since they don't get that through very well(I mean it took me till my second viewing to realize that).
What a ride for Disneycember 2017- Thanks for joining us this year! Tweet this video out with the hashtag #Disneycember2017 for a chance to win a copy of Wonder Woman on 4k, Spider-Man Homecoming on 4k, and War for Planet of the Apes Blu-Ray. 1 Winner will be picked tomorrow!
Channel Awesome
Happy new year 2018
Channel Awesome hey can we have a special review of lemonade mouth and color of friendship?
Have a good new year.
+Ryan Lynch Definitely won't be the last. We can do another year on Disney Channel Original Movies
Do some by popular demand
I don't care what anyone says, the guy who plays Captain Hook's son is the best part of this movie. He really hams it up, making me think his coach was some combination of Nicolas Cage and Tim Curry. He really is a diamond in the rough of this movie...wait, wrong Disney property
Verde the Star Warrior he looks like hook from once upon a time
He kind of reminds me of Rodrick from the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movies (the first three).
Movie Maniac YES. Although I liked Rodrick a bit better since they didn't try so hard to force his sex appeal. He was just like that naturally. 😍
@@Missmagazinebura I think that was on purpose.
@@TiggerIsMyCat with the guy eyeliner
Really enjoyed this year's Disneycember. I think this and last year's are my personal favorites because most of these movies that he had to watch were ones that he hadn't seen before.
Alex Klepp plus they were the more “eh” movies
Doug, thank you for giving us this amazing Disneycember, I wish you, your family and everyone at Channel Awesome a Happy New Year! Happy 2018 to all of you!
you too!
Damn I was hoping Doug would eventually get to Lemonade Mouth. That one was definitely one of the better Disney Channel movies
Ben Wasserman when I look back at my favorite DCOMs, that is the first one to pop up in my head
What about those popular request things he does in January
Let it Shine is also really amazing.
I was just coming here to comment this, Lemonade Mouth is by far my favorite of the Disney Channel movies. It was so good I even went and read the book it's based on. Please check it out Doug!!!
Aw shit your right and let it shine
Can’t wait for the next Disneycember
Maybe next year he can do MORE DCOMS.
+
Hmm. I wonder what Disney stuff is left for Doug.
Jaylan Hamilton Disney owns everything now. He'll think of something.
He said HOPEFULLY, I'll see you next year....I think this may be the final Disneycember
Still wish he would've done Lemonade Mouth, but maybe that can be By Popular Demand, or maybe next year's...
Lexi Hansen Dude that is one of my favorite Disney Channel movies!
And so ends another year! Thanks NC! *Though I really wanted you to review Wendy Wu.*
There's always next year...I hope!
I wanted Johnny Tsunami personally
I wanted let it shine
"By Popular Demand..." Chances are that we will probably get to see a few more videos that didn't make the cut in December. After all, movies like, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" were done in Janurary, so chances are we that might see a few more Disney Channel movies get some love (if the demand is there).
Maybe next year, he'll do reviews for anything else he didn't review. Like a popular in demand month or something.
The biggest tragedy is that we'll never get to Sharpay's Big Adventure.
*sobs in the corner*
Maybe next year
Was that movie good?
or Brink
Next year....hopefully
Here's what I think he should do next year:
- The other Winnie the Pooh movies.
Yeah much like how 2013-2015 were judt sorta a grab bag of random Disney material he pulled out.
@Fire Dust
Didn't he do the Studio Ghibli films one year, due to them being distributed by Disney?
Oh yeah that was 2014.
Here's hoping for "Wonderful World of Disney" movies.
Read my comment in Descendants 1.
I want to see Disney throw in Frollo‘s child for Descendants 3. I know they’d never do it, but God DAMN that’d be hilarious!
Mitch McNally don't forget Scar
Especially if the child is half Romani
Mitch McNally Actually they did. Descendants has a prequel book series (which you should read by the way. It goes way more deeper than the movies) Frollo daughter name is Claudine and she’s the bell ringer at the school dragon hall
Nah instead we are getting Hades in D3. Who appears to be Mal's father.
I think the opening song was just Mal's imagination.
PrincessPonyLover it was
Doriartus I know, but Doug made it seem like they were intentionally doing that.
Doug is not very good at noticing obvious things.
Yah I be live it wwas a dream or a day dream. Cause she's only one who wants to go back feeling like she's under too much pressure to be something she's not.
PrincessPonyLover is was he was mistaken
The Color Of Friendship was robbed this Disneycember
The entirety of 2000 was robbed
Well over half of the DCOMs were robbed
Thank goodness he did it the year after by popular demand
yeah the opening scene did never happen cause it was Mal's daydream it was all in her head.
Jenni Roesberry her names mal? That's a bit on the nose isn't It? What's the other girl named, evilina?
what I understand from the wiki is she was name after her mom, but called "Mal" for short cause she wasn't evil enough just bad or something silly like that.
I think it went that Maleficent thought the name "Maleficent" was a noble title that had to be earned or something, so until she earned the name, everyone called her Mal.
Gear Head The other one is named "Evie".
lol thats not better
Doug, the oening song and dance sequence was actually a step into Mal's inner thoughts, seeing how she still has some wicked desires lingering within her.

"-Acting like it never happened
...That's cuz it didn't. They clearly show that the opening song was a weird vision thing. A bit odd but it's clear it was a vision thing.
Otherwise, another Great Disneycember.
I'm kinda surprised he missed that detail... we're in Mal's head and it connects to the scene where she asks the others if they miss the Isle.
Pikapower Kirby If the past is any gauge, he was probably watching this armed with a large bottle of Scotch. XD
He tends to take notes while watching a movie for a review, so I'm not surprised that he misses details like that.
A dream!
Wait....Descendants got a sequel?!?!
Yep. I think they were talking about a possible third movie too...
Lori Hickman no it's not possible. It's happening.
Morgan Gobin It premiered this past July. ☺️
The first one ended with a hint for a sequel. The second one ends with the same hint.
**spit out milk**
Yeah the ending really sucked. But I REALLY liked Uma. China Anne McClain really managed to pull off a character who felt betrayed by the world.
findingbuglantis Yeah, Uma really got the shaft in this movie. She was one of the few characters I actually cared about.
Wait, that actresses first name is "China" what the hell?
Is is bad that when I read this the first thing I thought of was that line from The Room?
Wait, so they had the opportunity to have a fire-breathing dragon fight an octopus-bodied sea witch in the middle of the ocean and just had them argue and make up instead? That's...completely pointless.
so
IKR! I rebember I wanted to drop and kill Ben in that freaking scene! Not all is freaking argue, Ben! You worst king in the world!
The ending of the first film was almost as bad as this. In Descendants, Maleficent is free, turns into a giant dragon, and apparently froze time for everyone except the main characters. Then, Mal beats her mom with a staring contest.
They did not make up. Uma just retreated
The first song is a dream sequence Mal had bc she longed for the days they were "so bad" (not a fan of the movie just clearing up what happened)
It's still super weird, random, and purposefully misleading to the audience.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW DOPEY HAS A SON SO THAT MEANS DOPEY GOT LAID !!!!
that's too weird to allow my brain to think about.
How bout in one of the books FROLLO has a kid. Dear Christ!
And also, he was, like, a normal guy?
Brian Beatty ...but that literally makes no sense.
Please no
... But you didn't do Princess Protection Program.
Anyway, Happy New Year, Channel Awesome. Thank you for another year of quality entertainment and laughs.

PinkRosa1994 Awww... People suck! (jk) Thanks for clearing that up for me. Have a happy new year :)
I love this film my fav is mal and Evie do jumanji
Well hopefully if Doug DOES review it by popular demand, he'll actually remember who Demi Lovato is. If you don't get what I mean, just check out how he addresses her in the Camp Rock reviews
They just /had/ to make the dog talk...
The only reason they did it, as far as I can tell, is for the scene with the fake wand to work. Otherwise, it was just annoying and pointless.
You use asterisks to make things bold, not slashes. I'm not trying to bash on you or anything, I'm just letting you know.
Pikapower Kirby I totally forgot that happened. I remember conceding to it when it actually worked into the plot now.
Joshua Wood thanks, but I was using them for emphasis, and more had italics in mind. As far as I know, there's no way to do those yet 😅
sadiethecat18 There is, but you have to use _underlines_ for that. No, why those don't underline words and slashes do italics, I'll never know. But that's how TH-cam works now.
I worked at a halloween store this year and I fucking hated how many descendants costumes I had to put up and moana got one little shelf in the corner.
Wish Doug would've done "The Color of Friendship." *That's the Citizen Kane of Disney Channel movies!*
Isn't that the one with the girl from South Africa living with a family in America?
999MonsterJam
Yes.
Melkor Morgoth You still got Dreamworksuary ;)
Once Disney owns 21st Century Fox, Doug will have a TON of potential content to review next year.
A Guy Named Crystal HE STILL HAS DCOMS LEFT
There's 100+ of them
he said Day 1 he wasn't going to cover them all.
Also, Crystal, that's a good idea
I was thinking maybe the Disney Channel Shows themselves but idk what else he could do.
Here's hoping for "Wonderful World of Disney" movies.

This movie seems to be an broadway parody of Disney.
Mani Davis Nah, Disney's Broadway productions are FAR superior.
Probably Disney Channel not Disney as a whole
This feels more like a tween's fanfic made into a reality.
You haven’t seen Twisted?
it's funny cause when I look at the main baddie she reminds me more of Davy Jones than Ursula but whatever
TheCreepypro Yeah, that's another thing. This movie poses some... interesting questions. Some of them you don't want to ask about.
"Mommy, where do babies come from?"
As soon as he said "Sea Witch" I thought she was going to be Davy Jones and Calypso's daughter.
Maybe he's her dad, after all every Decendent kid only has one parent, so there are blanks that can be filled with your imagination
Same.
I actually wondered if Uma's father is Jack Spa * clears throat * *Captain* Jack Sparrow...
Well I would say "What's left for next year " but Disney bought fox so get to those Alvin and the chipmunk and Ice Age sequels !
Happy new years everyone !
Oh yeah. Now that Fox is under their belt, that franchise is likely to get canned by Disney.
I'm debating that being a good thing.
One the one hand, no more Squeakqules, on the other hand, the Ice Age movies are kinda good
I'm thinking he could re-review those movies .
Also the Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, and Pixar movies he hasn't done for Disneycember yet.
jalen tucker Well I would say "What's left for next year "

Ursula? I thought she was Davy Jones kid
Whenever China Anne McClain sings, "What's my name?", I would love Kylie Cantrall remixing it.
My friend: “There making a third one.”
Me: “Noooooooo!!!!!!”
*sputters* DI-DID YOU END ON A HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PUN?!?!?!
Next Disneycember, you should look at the popular films made by 20th Century Fox.
Another successful Disneycember, and Doug has survived once more. To everyone at Channel Awesome and to everyone in the comments, I wish you all a Happy 2018! May the new year be full of love, laughs, fun, and joy! =)
It's like it never happened because it was a dream. Did you even pay attention, Doug?
I really enjoyed this Disneycember, because it highlighted a lot of stuff I otherwise would have never heard of. Honestly these look like they might have been fun to make or work on, since they clearly weren't as serious as a cinematic production, and they could get a lot sillier than you'd normally see, for better or for worse.
loved the first ADORED the sequel
Someone in these comments who agrees! I found the first one enjoyable, but I just watched the sequel last night and it was genuinely heartwarming and exciting. Considering what Uma said after the credits, it's a safe bet we're getting a third. Here's hoping it's good!
and let's not forget the moment EVERY Descendants fan was waiting for Mal and Ben to kiss to me it's like this
fans to every disney movie kiss scene-oh god stop kissing
fans reaction to ben and mal NOT kissing in the first movie-OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE KISS DAMN IT PLEASE!!!!!!!
I’m so sad now! I love Disneycember and the holiday season and now it’s officially over and back to reality. Thank you Doug for another fantastic Disneycember. Can’t wait to see 2018’s!
These movies are exactly like an AU high school fanfic I’d expect a 12 year old to write
I REALLY loved this one. I love how the disney villains have kids. I love how they try to learn the differences between good and bad. I love the musical sequences, I just love everything about it. I can't wait for the third one next year!
So... why wouldn't Ura just be the daughter of Captain Hook? She's completely pirate-themed!
Cuz her love interest is the son of Captain Hook. This ain't Game of Thrones.
@@TiggerIsMyCat Then don't make Harry the son of Hook. Simple as that.
I really loved this year's Disneycember. It was cool looking back on some of the movies I watched as a kid and getting a new perspective on them both from you and from my own new view of them. Can't wait for next year's!
Review to Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again, just to see the reaction when you jinxed for not having a second film
Well time to go back to being completely dead inside till next December
Aww! I'm gonna miss Disneycember. There were a lot of great reviews this year! Thanks, Doug! Happy Disneycember and Happy New Year, everyone! 😃 Looking forward to next year!
Is there a dreamworksuary this year
Magnus Chase not really.
I was wondering that myself. I think there might actually be enough Dreamworks films for another one now.
He won't do it. The copyrighters from DreamWorks/Universal are more harsh on Channel Awesome that of Disney's. Plus they don't get as much views.
That sucks maybe he can do illumination
I want knockoff dreamworksuary with Illumination and Blue Sky Studios
Loved this Disneycember! Thanks for reviewing all these movies :) Can't wait to see what ya'll bring for us next year! Happy new years! :D
Do a popular demand of “Don’t look Under the Bed!”
loved that you explored far beyond of the first thing that comes to your head when you say Disney, glad you had time ot analize the films youn people grew up with.
keep the good work Dough and everyone in the Awesome channel
Do Tangled Before Ever After and the Teen Beach Movies plz!
For those telling me Disneycember is over. Technically yes, but what about "By Popular Demands" He could do those, if he wanted
Thanks for the Disneycember Doug. Disneycember is always something I love and this year was no different. Thank you so much.
Also not gonna lie, that opening number (while immediately negated by the actual film) was pretty dope.
THERE'S ANOTHER ONE?!?!?!?
To defend this movie, the opining song is a daydream. I still love this movie.
a little sad lemonade mouth wasn't reviewed
I'm surprised Doug didn't mention the plot point of "using magic to make someone love you" being used AGAIN in the sequel. Mal did it to the prince in the 1st one, then it got washed off in the magical pool and he was like "Whatever, i liked you anyways". In this one, Uma does the same thing to the same guy and the movie wants us to think it's the worst thing ever, on par with Ursula doing it to Prince Phillip in Little Mermaid. I was like "make up your mind, you flucking writers!"
Omg Mal's a hypocrite!
Happy New year's Doug 2018
I think he did a good job covering them. Of the few that I've seen, the only ones he didn't cover were "Brink!", "Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire", "Now You See It...", "My Date With the President's Daughter" and "Read It and Weep".
My gooddness...This is Shrek meets High School Musical gone wrong...
Dead Meme meets Cancerous Franchise.
How
Its a deconstruction series of Disney villains having children not meeting their expectations and a musical. Shrek and High School Musical has better premise than that and this sequel proves it.
The point of that opening musical number is that it expresses Mal's fears that she will always be bad and will in the end corrupt all of the good things in her life which is why she's trying so hard to change thinking that to be herself is to embrace evil.
(pats)
You seriously deserve to watch something legitimately GOOD after having to put up with all of these DCOMs, most of which were bad.
Another lovely video! Can we all acknowledge how genuinely creepy the performance of Hook’s son was? I was a bit surprised
That actor and the girl who plays Mal hooked up too on set
He was creepy, which was honestly perfect for his role.
Megan Green
90% of the girls (young or old) were turned on by it. I was added to a group chat called "Daddy Hook" and was a bit creeped out.
I mean first of all, how did someone get my number?
Second of all, I was in that 10%!
He was actually pretty entertaining to watch. The actor clearly had fun with it.
What a fun month!
LMAO, Doug described the villains acting like they lived in an old folks' home. I agree. I like your idea of just not showing them at all. xDDD
Of all the Disneycembers where some entry's were skipped over, The DCOMS shouldn't have been the one. He should of done like 2 or 3 a day like the original Disneycember. The fact that Brink and Don't Look Under The Bed were skipped, both of which are all time classics, really bothers me
2:25 That's some expert-level winking
POPULAR! DEMAND!
POPULAR! DEMAND!
POPULAR! DEMAND!
POPULAR! DEMAND!
A great ending to one of the best DisneyCembers yet! Thank you Doug, can’t wait for next years!
I wonder what Disneycember 2018 will be
What if he reviewed the Disney channel SHOWS?
By December 2018, Disney will own all of media including dreams. So get ready for 31 really weird dreams.
Maybe not next year, but I would love to see you do more of these movies again because there are so many. You skipped over all the ones I'm nostalgic about haha.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year Doug 💖 Thank you for a wonderful and entertaining Disneycember💖💖 💖
Descendants 2 makes Descendants looks like Citizen Kane or The Godfather.
This year's Disneycember was a blast. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year and in the meantime I can't wait to see what's in store for the future!
Disappointed you didn't review Lemonade Mouth or Minutemen but still good pics
0:46 The first song was supposed to be a fantasy that Mal was having, so everything that took place in that song was just in her head. But I can see how you can get confused with that since they don't get that through very well(I mean it took me till my second viewing to realize that).
