That’s the thing, accents don’t really have anything to do with ethnicity, it’s just who your raised arounds ways of speaking that you happen to imitate the most. Which is why as late as the 80’s all the aussie city folk still sounded basically like a Londoner

Funny thing yesterday i was on the phone with Apple it was a lady she had a serious aussie accent out of Melbourne VIC. By the end of call i asked her is she Australian, guess what she said she’s Greek!!!
