I will explain: When I posted this video 14 years ago, TH-cam had the option to reply to any video with another video of your own. I was watching a video of the original band, Survivor, with the original singer Jimi Jameson (RIP). Everybody was commenting on that video how great was the original singer doing. In my opinion Arnel did the song 10 times better than the original. So I found this video, downloaded it and posted it as a reply to the original. The title you see refers back to that other video from 1994.
From Texas. I’ve watched this 100s of times. Breathtaking. Still watching Nov 15 2022. He has been the frontman for Journey 15 years now, longer than any other lead singer. Journey will be on tour again in 2023 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. They put on an amazing show and Arnel's voice still takes my breath away. He was 39 in this video, he is 55 now and wonderful performer.

I love Arnel! I think it is so AWESOME that now his dream is coming true, and that he gets to sing with JOURNEY. He truly does an AWESOME job. I saw them in New Orleans, LA in Sept 2009, and have tickets to see them this Sept 2011 as well. He is an excellent entertainer! Yes in the Philippines they have a certain time that they can perform on those music bars 1hr per band then change band, they won't close until customers are around, @ 3AM no more band performing just a loud sounds from variety of songs.

i have to disagree jhon is what i think... for me he nailed it! even those high notes were hit.. yes this really a difficult song but still he did it well... he did it LIVE.. im a fan of survivor and i really idolize jimi... aside from the fact that we are both goodlooking but we both loves to sing... however i watched some LIVE videos of survivor performing this song and i may say i am much more satisfied with arnel's performance.. i mean LIVE is kinda different with those recorded ones.. :)
