Dang that 26 Merc looks like it was dropped soon after they got it from the bank 😮 That old swim buckle was a really cool save!! I like that tootsie toy!!
Hi Guys, I really enjoy your channel, especially the adventures in the woods. It brings back memories of roaming the woods and trout streams of Butler county back in the late 60's and 70's - I wish I had had a metal detector back then to check out some of the cool places I found. I'm now 1,100 miles and searching metal detecting adventures in my area. Keep up the good work - always fun to watch your videos.
what a awesome team you guys work so well together!!!! sorry havent been watching much you tube lately but heres what i watched when i came back!!! you guys rock
Thanks Shane, there's been alot going on lately, Jerry and Shawn, have started their own channel. Jerry already had the channel before he came to Pa Relic hunters. It's called Detecting Pa. They want to do adventure type videos with lots of B role. Rich and I will continue with the Pa Relic Hunters channel.
Nice finds this week guys, congratulations! Also did a great job editing, video looked amazing. Keep up the good work, and good luck on your next hunt!
That duck is cool Dave! I love interacting finds like that. Sweet merc and the escutcheon is beautiful, love that old craftsmanship! Wicked happy hunting!! ✌️
The shotgun shell dates probably no later than the mid 1880s. They started phasing them out in the mid 1870s in favor of the cheaper to make waxed paper shells for shotguns. I've been fortunate to fine 2 of the all brass ones here in my hometown in Missouri.
Nice job fellas. The opening romantic walk through the woods with “the legend “ Shawn . Lmao 🤣 I was waiting for the farmers only theme song to come on! 😂 I’ve been in a major slump. But that’s the hobby we love! You guys coming up to COS? Lmk.
Hey Kenny, Jerry and Shawn are starting their own channel, Detecting Pa, actually Jerry already had it before joining Pa Relic Hunters. I am trying to talk Rich into going to COS.
Beautiful video, great finds, fun to watch. The first pin could be a cravat pin or as someone ready suggested, a lapel pin. They were sometimes quite fancy, with stones. Thanks for taking us along! Have you been troubled much by ticks?
Hey Dave i dug a swimaway Slide Buckle not to long ago Congrats. Love the Bird Relic also. Congrats on all the finds. Nice Shotgun Shell. The one Piece is very Ornate. Love it. Congrats on the Mercury Dime also. Take Care
Beautiful intro!!!!!!! Looks like your handywork Jerry 👍We really do find out who we are through each other, even those who were here before us. Watching now guys... 💖💖💖💖
When you asked how you would feel about newer things thirty years into the future; the foundation marked "1950" would have been new construction when I was a kid. Another viewpoint from a geezer: I do not have a good opinion of FDR, so rosies are less desirable to me. A a youngster, should I acquire the getting-rare Barber dime, I couldn't wait to trade it for something newer. But I did collect steel pennies.
When I was a kid in the 60s half the pennies in my pocket were wheat cents. Bubble gum was .01 cent back then . My Mom told me when she was a kid .01 cent would buy a bag of candy. I saw bubble gum a few weeks ago and the same size piece is now .35 cents. The more money they print the less its worth. That's why article 1 section 10 states No State shall make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts. Seems they only follow the Constitution when they feel like it.
Watched a vid of a detectorist in Germany and he found a brass cartridge like Jerry's and he guessed it to be a flare gun cartridge.Tall brass for a standard shotgun round, but just a pinion.:>)
Maybe not so much if you're detecting alone, but if you're hunting with others you don't want to hear everyone else's machine beeping on every signal. Headphones help you hear those fainter deep signals also
Awesome as always guys!!!!!!! Thank you All 💖💖💖💖
Thanks Mona, ❤️
Sweet Merc, you all had some good finds and then ending with a Tootsie.
Thank you, Robert & Mellisia
Thanks for tacking us along with ya you legend 👍 😊😊😊😊

Great hunt very cool finds God bless and happy dirt fishing

Funny funny....The bit about being excited with 72 Memorial. Never thought of it until you mentioned it. I'm HOPING we won't be.
I hope not either, I think there will still be enough old coins to be found for a long time
I believe the buckle to be from an old pair of circa 1930's mens woolen Swimaway swim trunks. Thanks again for the videos guys. Always entertaining.
Hey thanks for the info I will have to look them up
That duck is cool Dave! I love interacting finds like that. Sweet merc and the escutcheon is beautiful, love that old craftsmanship! Wicked happy hunting!! ✌️

That all brass shotgun shell is great! Not flattened at all. Really cool find! I saw one at a flea market once in pristine condition for $50. Rk.
Thanks Richard, 👍
Beautiful video, great finds, fun to watch. The first pin could be a cravat pin or as someone ready suggested, a lapel pin. They were sometimes quite fancy, with stones. Thanks for taking us along! Have you been troubled much by ticks?
Thanks Carol, yes the ticks are still a problem here. I have removed a few of those buggers so far
Hey Dave i dug a swimaway Slide Buckle not to long ago Congrats. Love the Bird Relic also. Congrats on all the finds. Nice Shotgun Shell. The one Piece is very Ornate. Love it. Congrats on the Mercury Dime also. Take Care
I've never seen one of those buckles before, that's crazie you found one also.
1st find could possibly be part of a ladies hat pin. Cool coins & relics guys. There's got to be more at these sites guys
Thanks Deej, yes there's got to be more there. We will keep searching for it
Beautiful intro!!!!!!! Looks like your handywork Jerry 👍We really do find out who we are through each other, even those who were here before us. Watching now guys... 💖💖💖💖
Thanks Mona, we will miss Jerry's intros.
Nice hunt and and adventure
Thanks Old Pelon

Thanks Granddad, we love finding the barber and Seated coins. They don't turn up very often.
Seems like a good start on some new properties. Duck race prize?🤣
Thanks for watching 👍
Do you guys ever carry a small shaker box with you? Look for the stones when you find jewelry that had settings? Could be worth it.
No we haven't
Nice hunts!
It's a pin for the lapel.Remember a broach is large.
Thanks Gloria, yes you are correct

Yes, I grew up in the 60s and 70s also.
7:57. 1919. great finds always. if it could tell you its story ….
Thanks for watching Johnny
Watched a vid of a detectorist in Germany and he found a brass cartridge like Jerry's and he guessed it to be a flare gun cartridge.Tall brass for a standard shotgun round, but just a pinion.:>)
Thanks for watching and for the info on the shell
Is there an advantage to using your headphones? I've had my garret at pro for a few months now and yet to try the headphones
Maybe not so much if you're detecting alone, but if you're hunting with others you don't want to hear everyone else's machine beeping on every signal. Headphones help you hear those fainter deep signals also
What Tom Hanks movie were you talking about?
I'm not sure which movie Jerry was referring to.
I cringed at the sound when you were scratching the 1919 wheatie and then you mentioned it 1 second later. Lol
Lol, we've found a few semi key date Indians, but no pennies that were very valuable.
I’ve noticed I get stoked when a penny is all copper.
No kidding!!😊
Lol 😆
What's happening? Where are you? You haven't posted in 3 wks! You all okay
There's been some new changes to the channel.
@@PARelicHuntersWhat? Is all okay. I am starting to worry.
