I suppose because Meg doesn't want to be Governor. All the others, Vera, Jim, Joan, all had Governor ambitions, and the clothes were part of that. Joyce needed to be taken seriously when she stood in, so it was civvies for her too. Meg doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, and doesn't want the job full time.

The final 100 episodes are the finest in the entire run in my opinion. (and that is an opinion of which I have the highest regard..) We have the absolutely brilliant Bob Moran arriving imminently. And even 57 more episodes of the PCBH pox that is Lexie can't spoil it for me from here on out. I'm also probably in the minority in that I love Kath as a character/prisoner once she arrives. I know others aren't so keen on her. But whatever.

The Freak was never as evil as when she was out to get Bea. Against Conners she seems like an Anti Hero . As she genuinely believed she had been put in the dryer by her . She was never as menacing again after her first sting as governer .

The new inmate was complaining about there only being a bed in the isolation cell. The holding cells at my local cop shop are still like that today, not even allowed to pop outside escorted for a cigarette anymore. Nowt to do but twiddle your thumbs n wait. Time drags on so much when you can't sleep on those concrete beds.
And also, who is working the press? As Rita and the three extras aren't. The three extras folding sheets, towels, etc will make a wall of folded things if someone doesn't take them off the table to the press to be pressed and put wherever they need to go after that.
