MSC Virtuosa: Day 1 - Moxy Hotel, Southampton, Embarkation and sailaway!

- In this video, I'll give you a glimpse of a pre-cruise stay at the Moxy hotel, Southampton. After a quick spin of the room and some of the hotel public areas, we'll head over to the port to embark on a 7-night cruise to Norway on MSC Virtuosa.

Hi Fraser..well, I just thought `I would let you know, as a result of watching your vlogs and also your comments on my comments, I have just this minute booked a pre cruise nights stay at the Moxy, and yesterday booked our first ever MSC Cruise on Virtuosa. We are in a balcony cabin 10154, got the drinks package and gratuities included, and all at a really excellent price..so..thanks again ever so much, im v grateful for your content....Terry

Very useful. November 25th I am getting off Queen Victoria at City Terminal and getting on Virtuosa at Horizon.

I haven’t sailed out of Southhampton (yet!) but have to say, I didn’t imagine it could look so bright and sunny ☀️😂 Also great tip re the aft sailaway party.
Yeah, Southampton can be a complete mixed bag just due to where it is - hopefully my next one will be the same conditions - got everything crossed!

We love the moxy brand! We are Marriott bonvoy loyal so it’s nice to have a great place to stay so close to the port. Can’t wait to stay there when we cruise out of Southampton

@@FraserAtSea Yeah got really lucky with the weather. Especially in Kristiansand - it was boiling!
How full was the Virtuosa during your cruise? Last summer they seemed to be somewhere in the region of 30% occupancy, around 2,000 actual passenger vs 6,000 full occupancy.
So my first cruise was SO quiet - we had about 900 onboard. This time, we were about two thirds full, and the ship seemed to handle the crowds really well!
